Edinburgh Whisky Academy Anmeldelser 

Last year I took the in-person SQA-Certified Diploma Course in Single Malt Whisky at the Edinburgh Whisky Academy. It was a tremendously educational, informative and gratifying experience to be in Scotland with some of the best and most experienced teachers in the industry. From the magical location, the lectures, the distillery visit, the Scotch tasting and assessment, to the teachers and the staff, it was all so perfect that I wished they would have had another course I could have taken immediately thereafter!

Even though I have been prior to the course to more than 60 distilleries in Scotland alone, and many others around the world, I learned many new things, and understood better things I already knew. Especially, I enjoyed learning about the history of distillation and how it all started.

As a whisky collector and a host of many Whisky Blind Tastings, I found that after taking this course I had a deeper knowledge of the Scotch industry as well as of the rest of the world of whisky, and gained much more confidence. And on top of all of the above, I got to meet some very nice whisky professionals and whisky enthusiasts from around the world, who were my classmates.

There are not many accredited platforms on which to learn about the drinks industry. EWA not only excels at this, but offers certifications in an enjoyable and challenging way. I highly recommend contacting them to further your passion and experience for this niche market.

Courses are well designed, educational and thoroughly enjoyable.

Great course

I work in the liquor industry and wanted to expand and deepen my knowledge. Two years ago I found EWA, I completed all the free material and loved the learning experience. With a thirst for more I then completed the Certificate in Scotch whisky and moved onto the diploma course. For me it was a great experience and rapidly boosted my knowledge, the lessons and interaction with tutors and the Academy made the learning easy.
I am currently working through the Irish Whiskey Certificate course.

I did a few courses, and it was very nice and informed me about the Whisky World . Where are many different ways to look in to it from different angels.

First of all the professionalism of the members of the academy, the materials provided to study and also the easy and friendly way how it's structured the on line platform.
Fantastic couple of days at the on person Síngle Malt diploma.
It's really nice to find an organization like the EWA where you can delve in such interesting topics like the whisky industry.

Playful, fun, educational and a very personalized experience. Life's too short not to enjoy whiskies that make you shiver with pleasure. Learning the why's, and how to's will help you better chose and enjoy whisky

I have done two courses with EWA so far and both offered indepth detail of the industry. I highly recommend any professional or enthusiast to go through these courses to build a stronger foundation of knowledge.

Fantastic course with well presented. The material was easy to follow and a great resource for future use.

This is a great and easy way to learn more about whisky and the terminology behind the making of it.
Good selection of notes and videos keep you interested.
Plus you can go at your own pace which is great if you struggle for time.

Minor hiccup in working out how to access the free introductory reading material but found it really interesting and I am likely to enrol in the Certificate Course soon.
