I've had 2 very positive experiences with Dunraven, with a collective value north of £50k.

We had Dunraven install a Splendor orangery, approximately 5.5x3m in size earlier this year, along with putting in 2 retaining walls and earthworks in our back yard.

The biggest cost for that job was our 4.5m wide, 5-panel bi-fold patio doors. We were immeasurably pleased with the quality of the build on our extension, which also exposed the haphazard way in which the original contractors of our house rushed to finish the job.

Dunraven do go the extra mile to rectify and make right the work of cowboys, given how difficult it was to remove our original doors before the extension was fully completed.

The installation of the services; lighting and electrical were done professionally and with a high degree of respect and courtesy.

In regards to aftercare, given the summer heatwaves we've had, gunmetal grey and aluminium invariably results in quite a bit of thermal expansion, particularly on bifolds that large. We had issues with being able to close and latch. Nevertheless, we were able to have a chap come over within 2 days where the glass and frame were shimmed to account for the drop after settling. He also kindly showed us how to adjust the 5 way locking mechanism to allow it to catch, accounting for our summer/winter temperature range.

Just a bit of gentle advice. If a customer has put in a high value order, it would be helpful tnto to be initially dismissive of the initial issue diagnosis.

In late September, we had our bay windows fitted by Dunraven, to replace the non-compliant (non vented) sash windows installed by the original builder. As with the issues encountered during the removal of our original patio doors, Dunraven were patient and professional when removing the original bay double glazing, which was pinned in every possible direction and sealed in with expanding foam.

Nevertheless, the finishing and installation was to a high standard, with the same level of professionalism demonstrated when we had them around for our first job. The end result is that we have windows which let in appreciably more light.

It's safe to say that our orangery had convinced 2 of our neighbours to pick Dunraven for their extension and conservatory.

To sum up, a very professional experience. Yes, we get that their sales tactics may be construed or interpreted as overly pushy or aggressive, but if you know you're going to get work priced up, you'll find that a turnkey contract is much more convenient than trying to organise the various elements yourself.

What I found is that you'll get the aftersales support and also a very realistic delivery schedule. The extension was completed ahead of schedule, whilst the windows were also installed and finished within the 2 day / 8 hour window (excuse the pun).

Had a quote for an orangery but was too expensive instead replaced our front door excellent job

From the very first contact when a young man working for Dunraven knocked on our door to offer a quote we have no complaints. The salesman was thorough and we were happy with the cost of the work. We are exceptionally pleased with the 9 windows and back door we had fitted including the expert fit and finish. The work was started 23/09/2026 and completed in 3 days by 2 very polite fitters who were cleaning up whilst carrying out the work, inside and outside my home was very clean and tidy on completion. The old windows and doors were taken away for disposal. I was dreading getting what I felt was a big and messy job done but it was a breeze compared to my expectations. I have no concerns about recommending Dunraven and should I require new windows, doors, etc in the future I would not hesitate in contacting Dunraven to complete the work. Very happy customers indeed. Thank you all at Dunraven.

The fitter phoned before he arrived .which was very good. The fitter was clean making sure he left my home clean. Showed me how to use the door correctly.
He was well mannered. Also had phone calls from Dunraven making sure everything was OK and had no problems.

Excellent service. Really please with the finished result. The fitted was on time, knew what he was doing, friendly and clean.

I engaged Dunraven to install a front door. The whole experience from the first visit to do the order to the finished product was very smooth. The installer was very pleasant and friendly, the work was to an excellent standard and helpful cleared up afterwards. Much impressed with my experience.

Happy with results and finished early than expected.

An awful experience. We are in the market for new windows and doors and have been getting quotes. Dunraven windows were the third and will not be getting our business under any circumstances.
The salesman arrived late was totally unprofessional, obnoxious and bombastic. He was the worst sales man that I have ever encountered and I spent 30 years in the motor trade.
After running through the sizes of the windows and looking at styles for doors he made some calculations and whilst doing this he made some outlandish claims eg that some companies were charging ten thousand pounds for a front door (maybe they're gold plated).
Then came the hard sell. He stated that if we were to have them fitted before Christmas there would be a 40% discount. So I asked how much the quote was, his response was " will you be placing a deposit today". I explained that we were getting a few quotes to which he responded that he would not give us a quote as they do not come back and forth. He then got up and walked out laughing saying good luck with your quotes. He also forgot to collect his sample.
I fear that an approach such as this would intimidate someone more vulnerable than myself and maybe make them make a snap decision. Terrible Terrible Terrible.
There are many window and door companies out there 99% of which will be more professional than these cowboys, my advice is to look elsewhere!!!!!

We just had a visit from a representative with a view to obtaining a quote for new windows and doors. Never have I been so disgusted with the attitude! He started out by telling us Leekes windows department have gone bust and owe £10,000,000. He added that he's not surprised, as they charge £10,000 for a composite door!
Having told us how amazing their windows etc are, and that if we want them before Christmas we could have 40 per cent discount, he then refused to quote because we didn't want to agree and pay a deposit there and then! I explained that we don't make snap decisions when we're spending thousands of pounds and that we were getting a number of quotes before deciding. He kept pushing us to state what our budget was, which frankly is none of his business! My partner said we'd received a previous quote for £8,500. At that point he said he couldn't get anywhere near that (despite offering 40 per cent discount plus 25 per cent family discount!). He said if it was a thousand pound you'd agree it today though wouldn't you? I said that was irrelevant, as clearly windows don't cost that little. At that he walked out saying, good luck with your quotes and laughing sarcastically!
I have honestly never been more appalled by the attitude, lies and forcefulness of someone who is allegedly touting for business!
Needless to say they won't get our business and I'll be sure to disuade others from using them also!

Phase 2 complete! A lovely man came to fit windows in my bathroom, WC and daughter’s bedroom. Friendly, efficient, cleared up after himself (always a bonus!). The only snag was that one top opener has been cracked at the depot, but it was replaced with little bother a few days later - kindly squeezed in before my holiday! Thanks Dunraven Team.

Quick, friendly service and a great job of installing the windows.

Windows themselves an window fitters were great! Unfortunately the after sale team constantly calling is not good!

The communication was regular and up to date. They gave me a detailed price. They had a wide range of choices regarding the door I wanted. There service was reliable and good quality.

The fitters , plastering, electrician were all great, polite , friendly & tidy. Can't fault them. 10/10 💎

However, anything Sales promise u, get it in writing or it ain't happening 👎

The builders were excellent. But I had a problem with the concrete floor, which needed replacing. It took 3 weeks to get a reply after raising the issue with multiple people. It then took 2 weeks to book in the replacement. I was told to wait until completion to discuss compensation, after which I was told I would get a month extension on the warranty… after already paying a first payment for a structure that was not completed to a satisfactory level.

Having previously had our back door replaced by Dunraven with satisfactory results (apart from persistent phone calls trying to get us to buy more products), we asked them to quote for a replacement front door and adjacent window. The sales person advised us that, as the window is in good condition, and he could provide an exact match for the ‘Mahogany’ finish, we could save money by replacing just the door and frame. We therefore placed an order and paid a deposit. The order was confirmed by the Dunraven office, and we were given an appointment for the surveyor to call and a date for installation. The surveyor arrived almost two hours after the time we had been given and told us that we were one of several customers who had been given incorrect appointment times. He then told us that the door we had chosen was not available in ‘Mahogany’ and he could not offer us any other door in ‘Mahogany’. He also told us that no other company would be able to supply doors in ‘Mahogany’ (which our research suggests may be untrue). In accordance with the Terms and Conditions, the contract was therefore terminated and we were assured that our deposit would be returned. In the event it then took almost five weeks and the threat of County Court action to get our deposit back. We have never received any explanation or apology for the delayed refund. Since writing to advise them of our intention, if necessary, to take them to court, we have not received any communication from Dunraven at all, although the deposit money was eventually credited to our bank account. When they are trying to get your money, they are constantly in touch. Once they owe money they become uncommunicative.

To improve, Dunraven need:
1) to ensure that their Sales Representatives are fully honest and truthful, and really understand the products.
2) to ensure that staff arrive on time for the appointments which have been advised.
3) to act promptly when things go wrong and maintain effective communication.

If you are lucky and all goes well, and you don’t mind being repeatedly pestered for more business, Dunraven may be OK to deal with. However, they will tell you anything to get the business and, if things don’t go to plan, their customer service is awful. There are better firms to deal with, and you would be well advised to seek them out.

Very pleased with my new patio doors the boys did an excellent job , I had a knock through took out a window and door then fitted sliding patio doors. Very polite hard working boys, cleaned up all the mess and most of the work done in a day. Customer service could have been better, but overall very pleased.
