Driving instructor arrived 20-30 minutes late to all lessons, then on the final booked lesson decided to call the day prior. Called to tell me 7:30am tomorrow! Knowing I’d booked 2 weeks before this for 9am. The lesson never happened as I could not do a lesson at 7:30am therefore lost £90 and have not heard back from BSM since requesting a refund over a week ago now. AVOID. - Uxbridge Area

cancelled lessons 3 times in a row. Said I had not paid for lesson when I had and had proof. Refused refund. Terrible service

Warning to all, Do your research before you book a lesson with Brian Foote a BSM instructor in Swindon. He was picking me up 10 minutes late & dropping me of 20 minutes early, I asked him why and he stated that that’s they way he works, after asking he said he is not teaching me anymore & terminated all my lessons. I called up BSM spoke to Nigel & they just protect their drivers & have no consideration for there customers, not only this, on the that day Brian Foote also has a bottle of Bacardi In his car so I guess he is a heavy drinker, or had a drink that day…..Brian Foote is A BAD INSTRUCTOR do not use this company or instructor, he is a money grabbing person, spread the word & make sure no one else has this bad experience as he wasted my time. This person should be struck off. Will be reporting to DVLA. Don’t let scum like brain foote get away with this.

I hate to write bad reviews but unfortunately I had a terrible experience with Jas Singh at AA/BSM Driving School. His condescending behaviour and unprofessionalism made me feel so uncomfortable that I had to cut the lesson short. He intervened unnecessarily, making me feel unsafe. This was my first lesson back after 2 years off of learning. (only had 4 lessons prior).

When I complained, AA/BSM didn't take my concerns seriously, stating it was my word against the instructor’s. After a lengthy struggle, I was only refunded £17.50 of the £70 I paid, which felt inadequate given the situation.

Thankfully, I’ve since had a much more positive experience with Julie McTighe at Red Driving School, who has been supportive and patient. My experience with AA/BSM left me disappointed and wary of their handling of complaints.

My driving instructor Darren helped me get to a point were I felt very comfortable to drive and answered all my questions no matter what.

When I was test ready he made sure to get me started on learning other important stuff about driving and the car like how to maintain the car and where to get all the supplies required.

I am also planning on doing the Pass Plus with them as the experience I had was extremely helpful and would like to have there help with getting comfortable with my car.

Need to update their app to take account of two different types of manual cars. I booked a manual lesson and as I have always had and have cars with mechanical hand brakes, indeed on 31/8/2024 I purchased a Hyundai with this handbrake so I assumed that this would be provided. The BSM only gives two options either manual or automatic. The instructor said no point in learning with the electronic hand brake so no lesson. I contacted BSM who did not return my call so had to use chat. I was told that use of electric hand brake cars was specified but I still cannot see how to request this in their booking system. They charged me for the 2 hours I did not use. They need to change their booking platform for clarity I would suggest. Also the chat operator could not provide any names of a BSM instructor with a car using the mechanical handbrake

I’m here to let everyone know that ajdag is the best driving instructor you can have. She teach me everything I needed to know and she helped me pass my driving test in a very short period of time with no minus.

If you’re looking for a good driving instructor that is very kind and will help you with anything your struggling with ajdag is the right person for the job

My son has asbergers and we used BSM through motability Ian Kirkpatrick was his instructor and has been amazing helping my so to pass his test he is very patient and understanding and sorting things out He has been accommodating with times and tests and we can't thank him. Enough I'd give 10 stars if I could

I recently passed my driving test, thanks to Chris Collins from BSM. Since the beginning of my lessons with Chris, he was supportive and helpful the whole time. I would recommend Chris wholeheartedly to anyone, genuinely the loveliest bloke and a fantastic instructor.

Something up with this company. I booked 10 hours at £275 and assigned instructor Sonny Jayne. Sonny cancelled. I requested a new instructor twice and received no contact back. So went on live chat who said we have another instructor named, wait for it..."Sonny Jayne". But you paid £27.50 an hour and there cost is £32.50 an hour. So I have cancelled and they have said 5 days to wait to get my refund.

Awful customer service of AA company that refer me to them . AA acts like theives . Do not trust them

I have recently passed my driving test in the UK.
Would like to say big thanks to Shabnam - driving instructor, who has patiently guided me during the lessons and taught me many useful, critical things.
I’m driving for 2 months now and still follow all the tips she gave to be a responsible driver.
I would like to wish Shabnam good luck in her profession. It’s definitely worth taking lessons with her.

He got me really ready for my test in only 1 month, fantastic at customising the lessons to fit my needs and targeting the areas that I was struggling with. Especially good at teaching me what I need to look out for on the test routes of swindon.

They take bookings and fees for lessons they cannot supply. They then cancel and keep your money for several days before refunding. This is not an isolated incident, it happens time and time again. They are just there to extract money from instructors and pupils while adding no value whatsoever. Avoid them unless you want to be disappointed.

Booked 5 lessons. Instructor cancelled day before first lesson on the night before. Tried to change no response so stuck with her. Cancels all

This is a SCAM. They give you some slot to book and you pay, they stay quiet and 1-2 hours before the first session they cancel that. simply you lose your time and they keep your money for a good time if they refund.

I am writing to express my profound disappointment and frustration regarding the driving lessons I received from BSM driving school. Regrettably, my experience with BSM instructor fell far below my expectations, and I feel compelled to provide feedback on the various issues I encountered during my time with them. Firstly, I found the instructor NICOLAS SMITH BADGE NR 855647 teaching methods to be ineffective and insufficient. He failed to provide clear and comprehensive explanations of essential driving concepts, leaving me confused and ill-prepared. Another significant concern was the instructor's apparent disinterest in my progress and well-being as a learner. NICOLAS SMITH displayed a lack of attentiveness during our lessons, often distracted and seemingly unengaged. NICOLAS SMITH have sent me a text because I've questioned him , about why I am only have been practising on the same street for the last 36 lessons, especially when my test in three weeks? his replay was, that I have 2 options,, take the test on the correct date with someone else or change the date?
NICOLAS SMITH is the one how booked the date and the test centre, it was not me, he never said anything about my driving. so when I told him I will not, he just ignored my texts, took my money and just vanished. Lastly, the administrative aspects of my experience with BSM driving school were equally disappointing. The communication from BSM team was inconsistent and unprofessional. NO Phone number available and emails often went unanswered or were met with delayed and vague responses. This lack of clear communication added unnecessary stress and frustration to an already unsatisfactory learning experience. BSM have not helped me or supported me. BSM kept saying that NICOLAS SMITH not working anymore with them and he is self-employed.

I regretfully cannot recommend your driving school or instructor to others seeking driver training. The lack of professionalism, ineffective teaching methods, disregard for punctuality and safety, and overall indifference towards my progress have left me profoundly dissatisfied and disheartened.

TO BSM:
I hope that you take this feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements to ensure that future students do not have to endure the same disappointing experience I did. and please do get a phone number like any other normal business. Do not hide behind a chat pod.

Communication awful. Grandson had an instructor, booked lessons on the app, instructor cancelled a couple lessons at the minute which meant my grandson took a day off work for nothing. Recently instructor cancelled as was taken into hospital, fair enough I sympathise as this was not his fault. Contacted BSM on live chat and there was nothing they could do about it as no other instructors available. Haven’t been kept up to date regarding when/if instructor will come back. Instructor owed money after he cancelled last minute, only when we came off online chat did grandson receive a message to say lesson cancelled. That’s six hours of wasted lessons at £180 which he is paying himself on apprenticeship money and no lessons for over a month. When I first asked for driving lessons I informed them that he would need lessons weekend and evenings, on his first lesson he was informed the instructor didn’t work after 6.30pm or weekends, so how does my grandson get night time lessons then! All in all not a positive outcome with this company and now no driving instructor. By the time we find a new instructor he would have forgotten what he learnt
