As a doctor, I wanted the best surgeon possible for my gynaecomastia operation. After consulting with other prominent plastic surgeons, I decided on Dr Nurein. As he is solely focused on gynaecomastia, he is the most experienced UK surgeon. Furthermore, I believe his professional background, which is more focused on cosmetic surgery as opposed to plastics, gave him a deeper understanding and appreciation of desirable male chest aesthetics.

The operation itself went very smoothly. I was impressed with the professional and efficient setup as well as the very supportive nursing team. Recovery was as expected in line with the provided post-operative guidance.

The results were truly life changing. My chest's appearance looks radically different both with and without clothing. In the 6 months since my operation I no longer think twice about taking my shirt off nor do I worry about how clothing fits. The gynaecomastia related insecurities that dominated my life since my teenage years have now been completely eliminated thanks to Dr Nurein.

What can I say, Dr Nurein is a grade A+ surgeon in every aspect I can think of. The first thing I will say is that he is a very nice person and easy to talk to about any concerns you may have. He will tell you exactly what is achievable and what isn't.

In my case it was a revision due to the poor skills of the original surgeon that carried out some liposuction on my chest some years ago. That surgeon failed to remove/reduce the gland that I had on one side. He also did a bad job at removing the fat evenly, resulting in an uneven contour. My mistake was not choosing a 'specialist' gynocomastia surgeon in the first place. I naively went for the cheaper option in my home city. Dr Nurein managed to fix both these mistakes and I'm absolutely thrilled with the results. I no longer have any niggling daily thoughts in my head about my chest. I can't thank Dr Nurein enough for making that change in my life.

The other thing I realised right from the outset is that Dr Nurein clearly want's to achieve the best result possible and offers a free touch up within the first 6 months, if necessary. Other surgeons who are mostly in it for the money, like the first surgeon I used, would not offer this to their patients. This was a huge deciding factor for me. It shows that Dr Nurein truly cares about his patients and the results of the procedure.

After talking with Dr Nurein, I realised very quickly that he knew exactly what he was talking about. Given the sheer number of Gynocomastia operations he's carried out, there's no wonder he's become the best at what he does.

Mine was a grade 3 gynecomastia caused by a hormone imbalance resulting from treatment for prostrate cancer (100% testosterone suppression over 2 years). I had followed all the advice for non-surgical treatments including weight loss and exercising the chest muscles and none of it worked, if anything it made my man boobs look worse. I went to see Dr Nurein and he recommended liposuction, gland removal and skin excision using the circumareolar or 'donut' technique, where a ring of skin is removed from each breast around the areola and the two edges are then stitched together so that the scarring is limited to the edge of the areola. Dr Nurein has a video of him performing this same procedure on You Tube and watching it gave me the courage to go ahead with him. I can't really add anything to what so many people have already said about the procedure, it's painless, at most a bit of discomfort, even with skin excision my operation took just over an hour. Dr Nurein works quickly and skilfully with the confidence of a surgeon who knows exactly what he's doing because he's done it on countless other occasions, you always feel you're in safe hands. I'm now at 10 days post-surgery. The result is nothing short of transformational. I now have a flat chest but still with a nice definition and contour and I can finally see the chest muscles I worked so hard for. A really big thank you to Dr Nurein and his team for making what seems to be a daunting experience into something which is really quite doable.

Dr Nurein offers the best price for gynaecomastia surgery in the UK i decided to go ahead with the surgery and I'm impressed with the results I have had puffy nipples since I was 15 and now I no longer have them I can finally wear a shirt, sleep comfortably and I finally have a normal chest. In my search for a UK based Gynecomastia specialist, I turned to the Gynecomastia forum on Reddit for testimonials. For several years, UK contributors to the subreddit have been almost unaminous in their advice: use Dr. Nurein.

In particular, Dr Nurein's services are lauded for his aftercare and the inclusion of any touch-ups that are deemed required within six months of the initial surgery.

Dr Nurein has a Youtube channel which contains a video of him performing the surgery, and answers Q&As about subjects such as "doughnut deformity". In the weeks and days leading up to my surgery, I found these videos extremely useful for expectation management and psychological preparation.

Dr Nurein's nurses are fantastic company during the procedure, keeping you calm, holding your hand and making you laugh! At times, my surgery was very uncomfortable (low personal pain threshold sadly) and those wonderful nurses got me through the difficult parts. I am very grateful to them.

Once the work is done, before you have even left the building, you are immediately messaged via WhatsApp with postcare instructions and are called 24 hours after treatment to check your progress.

You are asked to send progress photos after approx 10 days, which are checked by Dr Nurein, and you are given tailored followup postcare instructions.

You can also use the WhatsApp number to send and discuss any concerns throughout the recovery.

After this, you are asked to book to come in after 2 and 4-6 months for a review of your progress. These visits are included in the price.

I am currently at the two month point. My chest looks significantly better and my nipple scars are barely visible, but I do still have some fullness that I want to address.

As agreed in the service, Dr Nurein has stated that if the fullness is still present as I approach the six month mark, he will do a touch-up.

Dr. Hassan Nurein made the whole procedure and operation a pleasant experience and despite the somewhat expensive price tag that comes with Gynecomastia Surgery (although it is somewhat fairly priced compared to other clinics) the whole experience was amazing. I would definitely do it again if I needed to and the aftercare was amazing. Barely felt anything during the operation and only felt the initial injections and some of the electricity that he used. The results have been 95% successful I would say with only very minor differences between each nipple (which don't bother me on a day-to-day basis). For anyone considering surgery, I would strongly recommend it as it has changed my life. I feel free now and can wear T-Shirts like normal especially in this hot weather right now. As for the recovery, it was very quick and I felt normal after 2 weeks. Even right after the surgery I only felt some minor bruising and painkillers helped with that. Overall, I am super happy with my experience and it has really been life-changing.

Dr Nurein is a sound communicator professional and very knowledgeable. Very highly skilled at what he does. He listened to my concerns and guided me through the procedure with ease. Where he failed was he wasn't able to entirely deliver. For individuals that developed gynecomastia from performance enhancing drugs or developed it from certain medications

such as anti -androgens eg finasteride or spironolactone
That wish to continue taking these drugs after surgery. Should be very careful when choosing a provider We are a special/ difficult case to resolve because we require the entire gland to be expelled

Dr Nurein doesn't take out the entire gland in his approach. This is for aesthetic reasons, but this can cause a rebound effect of gynecomastia as the drugs may cause the issue to reappear in these patients making the results short lived.

Dr Nurein will only remove the entirety of the gland in specific cases, but he doesn't specialize in methods such as the internal flap technique or other specialized techniques to give individuals like myself permanent aesthetic results.

If you are a bodybuilder wishing to get this surgery and still take steriods afterwards or and individual suffering from male pattern baldness and wish to continue finasteride/ dutasteride treatment after surgery.

Then your better off going to a different provider who specializes in techniques to deal with this difficult case. If you are someone that doesn't wish to take any drugs after surgery or developed gynecomastia through puberty then Dr Nurein is an exceptional surgeon you should definitely consider. His results are aesthetic and natural looking.

This Is my current opinion but it Is subject to change if he's able to deliver in the future.

Choosing Dr Nurein for my gynecomasia surgery was the best decision I’ve made! Right from my initial consultation I felt at ease. I had my surgery at the London clinic and the staff were extremely helpful. Dr Nurein explained the procedure to me ensuring I knew exactly what was being done. The nurses were so friendly and helped to put any nerves out of my mind.

The actual surgery felt pretty quick and I barely felt anything under local anaesthetic.

The aftercare team took great care of me giving me all the instructions I needed and were quick to respond to any messages.

I returned to the clinic after 6 months and despite my results being great I did develop some scar tissue. Dr Nurein offered to remove it free of charge and my appointment was arranged within a couple of days. Much like the first surgery this one went smoothly.

It’s now just over 2 weeks since getting the scar tissue removed and I couldn’t have made a better decision than going with Dr Nurein. Anyone who is thinking of getting this surgery done - do it, it’s life changing!

Extremely pleased with my results! After previously having the surgery done in turkey and not being completely satisfied I reached out to Dr Nurein. He decided to remove more gland and lipo to achieve the aesthetic look I wanted. A big thing to comment on is the aftercare, I’ve seen Dr Nurein 3 times since the operation due to some residue scar tissue which we have now almost resolved. The moment I decided to get in contact with the Dr I was treated with complete care and respect. It was an easy process and entering the surgery I knew I was in good hands and amazing care from the nurses and Dr Nurein. They were all so caring and had my best interest in mind. Before surgery:
Dr Nurein and his team were very approchable, clear in terms what they would do (gland extraction) and offered a FREE consultation for me. This is really rare considering the years of experience Dr Nurein has.

During Surgery:
Dr Nurein and the team made me feel safe in their hands and Hannah was really caring throughout the surgery. It was bareable, nothing too painful as I was under local anasthetic. Dr Nurein noticed that the gland that initially appeared to be small was quite a big gland one the incision was made, but were still able to take it out succesfully.

After Surgery:
Nothing too major of a pain in the first few weeks. Hannah could always be reached out to if any concerns and Dr Nurein would review the photos after 10 days- ish. Both of them really made me safe trusting in them. There was no need to go back to clinic after surgery and I just need to take proper care on my end. Hannah was always quick to review my photos post-op and suggest any changes if needed. You have to follow the aftercare instructions for good results.

RESULTS:
My gynaecomastia is gone now and I can wear normal T shirts with the T shirts hanging off the pecs!!! (And not off the nipple which caused me high insecurities for about 5 years).  I can also gym as usual now and it's Ive almost forgotten/not conscious that I had
gynaecomastia. I used to walk slouched for years/wear jackets even in summer sometimes to hide this but now I can stand straight and walk straight confidently and this made a huge difference to my life. For anyone getting the surgery, trust in the process and I highly recommend Dr Nurein!!

I had my surgery in the London clinic. Dr Nurein’s team were exceptional from Receptionist to the Nurses, complete professionalism. The nurses were very attentive throughout surgery, holding my hand making me feel very comfortable, ensuring I was warm enough (they had a device blowing warm air on my legs).
