DrChrono’s iPad and iPhone compatible EHR and medical billing platform allows users to manage patient intake, clinical charting, billing, and revenue cycle management. Lab orders can be submitted electronically to over 40,000 labs around the United States; results can then be directly uploaded into the patient’s chart. My EHR search is over!
As many of us can relate, the thought of switching out of an EHR system that you are currently unhappy with seems daunting. But my search is over! After working with the drchrono team, they re-created my notes exactly how I would like which has drastically saved me time after my examinations. I do not have to spend my nights catching up on my charting - it is now completed during my exam with my patient!! I am now in the process of switching my billing through drchrono and I am thrilled at how easy they make managing my patient collections!!
Overall, I am VERY happy I switched to drchrono. I highly recommend this software!
Great Experience
I've been using this product for the last 4 or 5 months and have really enjoyed working with this company so far. Their team took the time to really understand what I needed to get up to speed on the platform and delivered a training program that met the needs of my office staff (which isn't easy). My team loves the product. I've had the chance to talk with the company a couple of times since about some ideas we have for product features what I like about them is that it is really clear that they care about their customers - they continue to improve on the customer experience again and again. I've recommended them to a few of my colleagues and will continue to do so. Great stuff.
Drchrono Rocks!
I have been using Drchrono for over a year now and I can't say enough positive things about the software. Firstly, I love the freedraw function. My patients love seeing their xrays on the iPad and that I can draw on the xray in real time when educating them about their injuries. Our office staff also really like the reminder system that Drchrono has. We can send text messages and emails to our patients this is an awesome feature and a real time saver. My patients really love using Onpatient as they can send me a message, and even look at their upcoming appointments. The staff at Drchrono really care about their customers!
Finally, an EHR that does everything and more
Drchrono has allowed me to spend more time talking to my patients and even write more in their clinical note. Before I agreed to buy drchrono, I used to spend a couple minutes searching for their file while they arrived, 5-10 minutes talking to them about their medication and everything else, a few minutes writing their prescriptions out, and sometimes a few minutes taking their payment that day. I didn't become a doctor to talk to my patients for 5 minutes in a 30 minute appointment. Not only in that aspect, drchrono allows me to handle all my appointment rescheduling and my billing. I was paying a woman to handle all my appointment rescheduling and an outside billing company. I have more time with patients, am more administratively organized, and spend less money. Despite some bugs in the software due to updates, support is great and the product is great, and it has never failed me. Thanks drchrono, will definitely recommend.
Awesome EHR Platform!
I have spent some time learning how to use the platform and I must say that it is very user-friendly, even for a computer illiterate person like myself. Additionally, whenever I have had a question, I have had this addressed within a few hours by a support agent! Great customer service, keep up the good work guys!
Flawless interface and always delivering results
My colleague first introduced this EHR/billing system to me, and I was reluctant to change at first because I thought it'd be a lot of work to switch. Now I really wish I had changed to drchrono sooner, especially given how smoothly the transition process went.
There's a big difference between an "okay" system and an outstanding system, and this showed in my practice's workflow, the reduced number of canceled appointments, increased revenue, etc. My front desk staff gave positive feedback as well, especially regarding the intuitive user interface.
Their EHR also releases a variety of new features quite frequently, which is rare to see in EHRs, but crucial since the healthcare industry and the needs of doctors are constantly changing. drchrono adapts to their doctors' needs. Their support team and our assigned implementation specialist are receptive to our feedback and they deliver results, enabling us to better deliver care to our patients.
The best EHR I've experienced
No EHR/PM system is perfect. Every system has it strengths and weaknesses and making the best EHR decision for your practice depends on your priorities. My priorities are to give my patients the best experience while also having the highest cash flow. drchrono allows me to do this and has been the best EHR I've experienced. My patients like to use the drchrono patient portal to schedule appointments and message me directly with questions while drchrono's medical billing team helps me to collect every penny possible. I pay attention to what's out there but I have yet to find a system that can compete. drchrono is simply the best for my practice!
Best overall emr and practice management software!
Love this system! I do a lot of housecalls now in Denver, and it's been night and day having this in my practice and out of my practice. I highly recommend this for all practices doing any kind of housecalls.
Helped me so much with running my practice and seeing my patients.
Te meaningful use helper has helped my staff with the basics. I thankfully never needed to hire a meaningful use consultant.
The templates that their team built helped me with taking notes faster and the check in app took out a lot of double entry issues that I had with previous EHRs. I've recommended them time and time again and I'd recommend it 100 times more if I could.
The billing functionality also has heavily helped my staff and the icd10 tools have helped us go through the transition without any problem.
Easiest EHR I've ever used
I am the office manager and have worked in many practices over the years, using many EHR systems. Drchrono is the easiest to use and has made my life a lot easier and saved me time unlike the other systems which only added time to my busy day. Yes, there are always going to be little hiccups in any system, but out of all the ones I've used(and there have been quite a few), drchrono's team is the quickest to respond and I feel like they actually care about my practice.
In terms of scheduling, I especially like the appointment profiles and automatic text and email appointment reminders because I no longer have to call patients to make sure they show up!
While I can't speak about the charting from personal experience, I think the ability to use the camera and microphone on the iPad is a neat feature!
Drchrono has helped our billing, too, because we don't have to have separate systems for PM & EMR but instead they are seamlessly together in one. I especially like their Denial Analysis too which makes it easy for me to tell which codes are being denied the most so we can be sure to focus on those.
Overall, I am very satisfied with drchrono as a whole and will be telling my colleagues to sign up as well.
Very happy customer
I have tried almost every EHR on the market. By far, drchrono blows all of the other EHR's out of the water. With drchrono, you're getting a slick, user friendly, tech savvy platform. They're changing the EHR game for the better. If you're in the market for an EHR, save yourself the time and frustration and just sign on with drchrono.
Dr Chrono is great
We love Dr Chrono, easy to use, very user friendly, updating all the time. Great if you're good with technology and social media. They do need a customer service number and/or department, but otherwise no complaints!
BEST EMR software!
Simple to use and secure, Drchrono is recreating the way physicians and patients communicate. They are providing an overall better healthcare experience that allows physicians to focus more on their job and less on paperwork. Best EMR software I have used for both doctor and patient!
Best technology and service of any medical office solution out there
I've tried numerous E.M.R. and billing vendors over the past 10 years in my practice to varying degrees of success. Dr. Chrono has been a very different experience to any other service I've worked with, but time and again have proven they are superior and work harder for me and my practice than any other company I've interacted with.
They are sometimes too obsessed with building out flashy new features. At times it can be frustrating to have existing features break if they are pushing out new functionality that I don't care about. However, over the past 2 years I've seen this problem go from something that was disrupting my practice to more of an occasional nuisance. I hope that if the company reads this review this is something they will continue to focus on to make sure that their system is 1,000% stable 110% of the time. I'm optimistic that they take this problem seriously and it's encouraging to see they have a status page where I can check if their site is up or not so they can't blame my internet for any problems.
I strongly recommend this system to my colleagues and I'd encourage anyone who reads this review to try out their service. Using the IPad in my practice is a delight and after investing a lot of time in building out my clinical notes, I do find that I save a significant portion of the time that I used to spend writing out charts. The billing part of the product has improved steadily in the last year since I started using it and I'm close to trying out their revenue management service when my biller retires at the end of this year.
I don't use their patient product at all, but this is due to my patient population being an underserved one that has limited access to the internet.
One feature that I'd love to see them add is to add the ability to send a lab order directly from the plan section of my clinical workflow so I don't have to go to a different part of the app in the middle of a visit to put in a lab.
Overall I'm pleased with Dr. Chrono and I appreciate being able to use an IPad as an E.M.R.
Comprehensive EHR
There are numerous pros for using this program! The first and foremost being that it is very easy to use. Additionally, it has the best iPad functionality (compared to other EHRs) and excellent customer support (I get responses to my support tickets within 24 hours). In the beginning, we invested the time to customize templates to our workflow which results in very fast and precise documentation. I would highly recommend drchrono to anyone!
The only iPad solution worth using
Of course, the iPad functionality is second to none. That being said, their support team has improved significantly in response time and accuracy.
Great Customization & Customer Service!
I have been with DrChrono for years! I have tried MANY other EMR's, and none have the level of customization & customer support as DrChrono! A product is only as good as the support, right?! And, this is the best part: When it didn't SEEM like DrChrono had a feature that another EMR does, ASK them! They can often get you just what you need (they have for me!)
Great Product
I like the ease of use and being able to use the IPad. I checked out quite a few other EMR systems and this one seems to be the easiest to use no frills and it doesn't slow down my exams.

I have been using DrChrono for three years. It is extremely easy to learn and it has a very intuitive user interface. New staff can learn how to use it in a day. The company is very responsive to requests for new features. It is very easy to configure according to the needs of the practice and the work flow.
