DrChrono’s iPad and iPhone compatible EHR and medical billing platform allows users to manage patient intake, clinical charting, billing, and revenue cycle management. It includes customizable medical forms, e-prescribing, scheduling tools, real-time patient eligibility checks, and a patient portal. The DrChrono App Directory also offers a multitude of apps and a medical API for healthcare app developers. The DrChrono EHR offers fully customizable forms or prebuilt forms. Lab orders can be submitted electronically to over 40,000 labs around the United States; results can then be directly uploaded into the patient’s chart. We signed with them in dec 2019, excited for a new EHR-This system was full of features new to us. Things started ok in Jan for training, but after closing in March due to COVID we reached out early April to start the data migration. It took our onboarding team a month to start. The data was incorrect (missing phone number, emails), the team lead never checked quality of the imports, took 3-4 days to respond to us with alerts. Long story short, instead of 4-6 weeks of implementation we were past the 1st week of AUGUST. It took 4 months, they still had phone, email errors in demographics, after months of escalating to manager, it just didnt seem like they would ever get our data right. OUR ASK: 12 mo of use from the time of full data import,CS terrible, negligent, unresponsive & the cause for the delay. RESPONSE: we can only give you a few months xtra afterall you have had access to our system since Jan. ACCESS IS USELESS WITHOUT ANY PATIENT DEMOGRAPHICS.They are a fraud. Pd in full for a discount and that $$ is lost. Arrogant lawyer says everyone loves their product. Save yourself.
ETA: You already charged me $500 for onboarding;are you saying you normally would have tried to double charge for an incomplete job? The data is still incomplete and inaccurate- So I can’t use the program without manually rechecking my patient records. Are you going to refund me for doing your job? With an incorrect set of patient demographics what do you think I could do with additional months. After genuinely trying to sort this out for months with you,the ship of trust & reliability has sailed.

My son's doctor's office uses onpatient by dfchrono and I had so many problems judy trying to get our account set up. But the worst problem of all is that when I tried to pay my bill, I got an error message that led me to believe the transaction had failed. I did this several times. Eight in fact. Well, I later discovered that I had 8 pending transactions for the bill I was trying to pay, which overdrew my account by $750. This company has no phone number to get hold of anyone. Only a website on which to submit a "request". I'm holding my breath waiting for these people to give me my money back. I won't be using their portal ever again.

I really love this EHR
I really love this EHR. It is customizable and created to work on the Mac platform (the only computers I have in my office). It has an app for mobile use. They take ideas from users and allow us all to vote for the updates and new features we would like to see. The billing piece did not work for me and my local billing company. This EMR allows me to take care of patients anywhere at any time. I wish the support was a phone call, but I am getting used to logging a support ticket. They do have very responsive support.

Do NOT sign up with Dr Chrono. Their Service is terrible!!! the EMR has tremendous potential to integrate with billing and save time and money, however the staff does not know ( or seems not to care) to how to maximize the service and profit. I had a local biller that closed shop (age) so I signed on a year ago. It has been nothing but headaches and collections at HALF the rate I was getting before with local biller.
Now they are starting to charge me more eventhough our collections have not reached threshold and I have NOT added services. The number of errors from their billing service in INDIA is mind-boggling. I have been teaching them for the last year.

Great EMR/EHR if you are looking for an…
Great EMR/EHR if you are looking for an open API platform. If you need or want a platform customized to your platform, DrChrono may need some customization. Their support is great if you pay for the full and highest level of the app, the lower levels require tickets so their is a delay in response. Overall we have been very pleased with the app, EHR, billing, coding, support and use of the app.

DO NOT trust this company! They consistently try to overcharge for billing. Literally every month I have to fight with them as the bill they send me every month is incorrect. I am constantly fed fraudulent information about their billing. I am having to get an attorney involved to break my contract with them even though I have documented evidence of them actively lying to me in communications.

I used their service and for the duration of the time I was with them they kept sending me labs from another practice in Virginia. Never fixed the issue. I finally terminated the service and spoke with alexis Blackwell via email and phone. They are still charging me for the services for 3 mths. No response
from them.
Poor customer service as well.

We regretfully signed on with drchrono Aug 2019
We joined drchrono Aug, 2019, sytem never worked for us, never used it for a single claim, they were unwilling when we asked for more help learning the system. They won't let us out of the contract and continue to bill us $349 each month for zero service. Since Covid-19, and not treatng any patients, I can't keep paying the charge, their phone mailbox is full, no way to reach them, no email to write to. Their system won't let me delete my credit card from our profile. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

DrChrono provides an excellent EHR…
DrChrono provides an excellent EHR platform that is intuitive, easy to use and comprehensive in terms of the services a physician would want to access while charting. Their customer service is outstanding and their team provides excellent tech support. Given my only experience with EHR charting this past decade was with EPIC, I wasn't sure what to expect once I opened my own practice. I have been very pleasantly surprised! DrChrono has developed an EHR platform that is available online, provides training to providers, and is easily accessible to patients via an online patient portal. Their seamless integration of billing services and revenue cycle management (which is optional) has allowed me to focus on what matters most to me: patient care.
Product is "good", Service is "excellent"
I have used this for 3 years at two different locations; I adopted it for my solo practice after using it at a group.
Templates are very customizable, use is easy and generally predictable. It has its quirks, but is good overall. Some of the features are somewhat oversold and not that fault-tolerant (I don't us their online scheduling tool) but I don't really miss those features.
What makes it stand out is that customer service has always been fast and effective. When I do have a legit problem they hop on it pronto and fix it. That's what will keep you around when you adopt Dr C.
Not sure why all the recent negative reviews; I am happy with Dr C and plan to stay indefinitely.
I've been forced to use this awful EMR…
I've been forced to use this awful EMR for over a year. Do NOT purchase this! I'm a PA-C and the amount of time I've spent dealing with this glitchy EMR is insane. After you've completed your superbill I'd say 70% of the time it does not save and you have to reenter the entire thing. Not fun when you have 3 patients waiting for you! It takes forever to load the correct icd 10 code--and much of the time it doesn't load at all. Makes coming to work miserable.
Update 2/7/20: I was finally able to speak to someone at Dr. Chrono and am hoping they can resolve this issue of the screen freezing while saving a superbill.

We changed from Practice Fusion to…
We changed from Practice Fusion to Drchrono a year ago and it has been a nightmare. It takes multiple clicks for any action. Patient portal messages are all on separate threads so when one replies the original message is not attached and you have to go back and open all of the patient messages in order to recall the concern and reply appropriately. There are multiple patches for labs and radiology orders/results. We can order Labcorp and Quest labs through the lab ordering section but if we want to order labs through West Pacific or any other lab we have to go through the Health Gorilla patch. Lab orders come in through the lab ordering section and it is confusing if the lab order was given in May and the patient had the labs done in August. The results are all over the place. Sometimes they don't come in through the lab order section and are received as documents. The system is very fragmented. The customer service is very poor as it takes days or longer for a response to any concern and while the staff is courteous and interested there is usually no resolution. At one point we were asked for constructive input and spent a couple of hours providing this with no response. There is an option for voice activated dictation for progress notes but this only works for iphones or ipad, not for android. It is bad business to limit this service. The erx is ok but any medication that was ordered more than 6 months ago has to be reordered, cannot be refilled as the original entity has somehow timed out. Click click click. The favorable parts are that documents can be easily emailed to patients if they are signed up for their portal and efaxing is very easy. Patients like the portal and the system is easy to learn but with that learning comes an awareness of the many shortcomings
We are changing to a new system as of 1/1/20 that will hopefully be better. Perhaps this is the status quo of EHR but hopefully there is a better product out there somewhere. Practice Fusion was a reasonable and economical program but did not meet the needs of our growing practice. Drchrono was clearly a step backwards. Would not recommend this program. If you are solo practice or less than 5 providers it would be worth checking in to Practice Fusion. Otherwise good luck!

Horrible so far. Do yourself a favor and use another platform. Customer service slow to respond and then they give inaccurate answers that don’t help.

Most horrendous experience with a company in my career
A DrChrono sales rep convinced my secretary that DrChrono would make the office better and then signed a contract with her (not me the doctor and owner of the practice). It now has been over 1 year of my credit card being charged $499/month and the software has still not been implemented. Once their sales rep made the sale and the credit card starts being charged monthly everything stopped. The customer service is absolutely horrendous. DrChrono pays someone to call you on the phone in order to implement the software for your office- unfortunately he had a heavy accent and could not be understood. Weeks and months would go by before DrChrono's customer service would schedule another time when "they were available" to teach you to implement their software. Each phone call nothing would get accomplished or implemented besides them describing another product that wanted to "up-sell" us. DrChrono doesn't care, they still get $499 a month.This same thing is sill going on now-- We have been charged $499/mo for 15 months, the software has not been implemented. Now they want to charge us thousands of additional dollars to pay for more phone calls in order to implement the software they sold my secretary over a year ago.
I wish I read the horrible reviews also posted about DrChrono stating "the biggest mistake of life", how terrible the customer service is, and there is no incentive for DrChrono to get
the software implemented since the already sold the subscription for a year.
Aweful
Aweful - I've now had 3 patients double charged for billing due to an issue with their system. Worst part is the company has no idea how to fix it. Huge issue and patients tend to get very upset when you over charge them - becoming ex-patients who leave nasty online reviews. I now know of several other providers who have also had a lot of issues with the ckmpany. DON'T use this EMR.

Big mistake!!
If you buy this software, this will be your biggest mistake of life.
The sales staff promised something else and then they sell you a totally different thing. Their product is worthless. The after sales service is pathetic as it’s been more than 4 months that I have bought their software and no one has set up my software so far and thus it is still unusable. I tried to reach many people but everybody goes through Brian, their sales rep, who instructs them to take more time, as the subscriber has paid the money already.

Easy to use, customizable system
DrChrono has allowed me to put in customized templates which say just what I need it to. Push button input on the iPad is very convenient allowing for quick charting. Billing sections could use some streamlining and improvement from my point of view. I've seen other systems in action, and DrChrono has been the quickest and most thorough way to chart.
Amazing all in one software!
Working at the front desk can be hectic. Drchrono took away that chaos and delivered a simple and easy to use EHR. I've had lots of experience with clunky and complicated EHRs, but Drchrono's EHR is different. Our patients love checking in on the iPad and using the app to take pictures of their insurance cards makes running the front desk a breeze. I have more time to manage appointments and they offer lots of resources to help our practice run smoothly. Training with their on-boarding team has been fun and engaging as well. You can tell this company truly cares about its customers.

I stumbled upon this EHR when I was looking for a check-in application to sync to my notes. drchrono has nailed it!! This app really streamlines my check-in process and is available on the ipad! I was originally looking for an app that would allow me to check-in my patients on a mobile platform, and found that drchrono has an end-to-end solution just for this! I can have my patients check-in on the ipad when they walk in and I get all of their information directly saved into their file. This is simply awesome. You guys did an amazing job!
