I had breast surgery with Dr.Ipek in 2023 where gave me new breast implants. In 2024 due to scar and swelling issue, he performed a revision without a better result. I made the mistake of returning in 2025 so that he could fix the issue. The scars worse than before and I cannot show my cleavage because of how it looks. I shared my concerns with dr.Ipek , he responded but did not seem concerned about the outcome. I’m still seeking a proper solution.

Dangerous and Negligent Care – Avoid This Surgeon.
I had a tummy tuck surgery with Dr. Bugra Ipek on October 4th, and my experience was extremely dangerous. Before my flight back home, I informed him that I had chills, fever, and that my wound was open and leaking, but he dismissed my concerns.

After returning home, I sent him pictures showing clear signs of infection, and his only advice was to continue antibiotics. Thankfully, I went to a hospital immediately instead of following his instructions. I had to undergo two additional surgeries to drain 5 liters of infected fluid, and I now require a wound vac to recover.

Dr. Ipek’s negligence put my life at serious risk. He and his team appear to care more about money than patient safety. I strongly warn anyone considering surgery with him to reconsider.

I am not disputing that my vital signs may have been normal during my final in-person examination. My condition changed significantly after that examination, while I was still in Turkey and before my departure.

Beginning at approximately 7:00 p.m. the evening before I had to leave for the airport at 3:00 a.m., I developed fever and chills. The area where my drain had been removed, as well as another part of my incision, was leaking continuously and heavily enough that I had to change my dressings repeatedly throughout the night and during my journey home.

I reported the fever, chills, and ongoing leakage through WhatsApp multiple times and was repeatedly reassured that this was “normal.” That evening, I was also told that someone would contact the hotel so that my temperature and blood pressure could be checked. No one ever came to examine me or check my vital signs.

More importantly, the communication did not end when I left Turkey. After returning to the United States, as my condition continued to deteriorate, I remained in communication with your team. On the day I eventually had to call an ambulance, I was still sending updates, photos, and videos of the worsening condition of my skin and surgical area and waiting for your response until approximately noon.

Despite what I was showing and reporting, I was advised to continue taking the antibiotic and keep changing my dressings. I was not instructed to seek immediate emergency medical evaluation.

Later that day, an ambulance transported me to the hospital. My condition was serious enough to require urgent surgical intervention shortly after admission. I ultimately required two additional surgeries on October 12 and October 13, a 12-day hospitalization, a wound VAC for 34 days, and months of additional wound care. I later learned that I had also experienced kidney-related complications during this medical crisis, which subsequently improved with treatment.

Therefore, the issue raised in my review is not whether a seroma is a recognized surgical complication. The issue is how my progressively worsening symptoms were handled after I repeatedly reported fever, chills, significant drainage, and visible deterioration of the surgical area.

Your response states that my updates were communicated through a third-party agency. I repeatedly provided postoperative updates, photos, and videos and remained in communication with the postoperative team even as my condition worsened in the United States. If important medical information was not reaching the treating surgeon because of the structure of your own postoperative communication system, that does not change what I reported or what ultimately happened medically.

I have retained the WhatsApp communications, photos, videos, and my U.S. hospital records. I stand by the factual account of my experience.

Excrutiating pain for 4 months

What happened to me 16hours post op at the hospital:

Woke up dehydrated due to poorly handled anesthesia

The Dr pressured me to pay €100 for a lympathic massage while still semi-conscious.

Forced me to leave hospital 16h post-op, while still clearly UNWELL ( not able to stand without assistante, vomitting, faintings- i couldn't even get dressed, he along with assistant braught me back with the wheelchair at the hotel next door)

Passive aggressive because I wasn’t fit to leave

Refused to give me my medical records

This wasn’t just a financial loss — it cost me part of my health, too.

I had my breast augmentation with Dr. Bugra and I’m so glad I chose him. He’s a trustworthy, attentive surgeon who really took the time to listen to me and guide me toward the best option for my body. Communication was smooth from start to finish — and his team was incredibly responsive, both before and after the surgery, always available when I needed anything.
