From initial enquiry, through to delivery, these guys were attentive and extremely accommodating to our wants/wishes. Sean and Maz were extremely helpful during the enquiry/booking process and their team were brilliant and very friendly on the day of our event too.

Not to mention the food! My only regret is not having the forethought to book for more covers as our attendees were after seconds and it ran out very quickly - not a reflection on these guys at all! A true testimonial to the quality of their food. We would love to have these guys back again in the future, and have since recommended them to other people.

The food was incredible. Something for everyone. Full of flavour, a great variety and plenty of it. It was a new experience having a catered BBQ for a group of about 40 staff. Would definitely recommend the food!

Excellent customer service, the food was absolutely amazing and I ordered boneless jerk chicken, rice and peas and chickpea curry as the main. Alongside salad, plantain, with the mac and cheese being a showstopper.
I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to host corporate events or private parties.

We cannot express how grateful we are to Dookies Grill for making our wedding unforgettable! From our first encounter at the wedding expo in October 2024, we were thrilled at the idea of having Caribbean catering for our chateau wedding in France.

After reconnecting in early 2025, we had an amazing introductory call with Sean, who was incredibly passionate about bringing our vision to life. He invited us to a delightful tasting led by head chef Sadie, where we enjoyed a stunning selection of Caribbean dishes and learned about their inspiring business ethos. Their dedication and Christian values truly resonated with us.

The months leading up to our May wedding were filled with excitement and last-minute planning, and Sean and Sadie poured their hearts into every detail. They worked tirelessly, ensuring that everything was perfect. Even when we faced a few minor hiccups (which are bound to happen), they were quick to find solutions, collaborating seamlessly with our other suppliers.

The food was absolutely amazing—flavorful and beautifully presented. Sean, Sadie, and their entire team went above and beyond, making sure our day was nothing short of magical.

Nothing but 5 stars for this amazing business and team. I first had Dookies food when I worked in Paddington years ago, so when I decided to have caterers for my special birthday- I looked them up.

The level of professionalism from them from the moment of first conversation to party was outstanding. A few calls to check on the menu, a tasting session and a zoom call to look at the space, and when they came..

Firstly, I had NO idea they were going to dress the space - it looked SPECTACULAR! They even had made a personalised menu board for me.

Secondly, the food was OUTSTANDING (but to be fair I knew it would be as I had it before and then again at the tasting). I agree with another poster, I wish I’d asked for more food at the tasting - just because it was SO GOOD!!

Finally, the professionalism was EXCEPTIONAL!. The team were on hand to help guests with anything they needed, they kept the space so clean and tidy and were just amazing to be around. It was genuinely like having extended family with me - the kindness and care they showed made me feel completely at ease.

The real review came from my mum who said “the caterers were brilliant” - and she is a hard taskmaster who wanted to make all the food herself!!

Dookies are just excellent and I hope their business goes from strength to strength. They deserve ALL the success. THANK YOU!!

My husband and I chose them to cater for our wedding and they went the extra mile! We had such a great experience from initial first conversation, to the brilliant taster session, to viewing our venue, right through to the end!

Let me break each section down!

PLANNING
Most of our communication and planning was with Sean, he was very professional, relatable, and he really heard us and founds ways to go above and beyond! We were able to decide on a menu that would leave everyone full and satisfied no matter their dietary requirements

TASTER
One word: INCREDIBLE!
Here is where we met Sean's lovely wife, Sadie, who was equally as amazing! Before the food came out, Sean's sat with us to go over our previous discussions again to make sure he hadn't missed out anything, for us to answer any unanswered questions and to ask any questions we also had. We were served our menu and everything was delicious! It wasn't bitesized bits, we had a plate (Chicken, rice & peas, corn, plantain) each! And a bows with our other menu items (chickpea curry, mac and cheese, Salad, patties, etc...)..
We had guest coming that couldn't quite handle spice so we were able to request it to be more on the milder side for our wedding (side note from our big day: THEY DELIVERED! without compromising on the great taste!)
Incredible, incredible, INCREDIBLE!!! My one regret from the taster was maybe not asking if we could pay to take some away if they had some still in the kitchen lol.

VENUE VISIT
Dookies (Sean and Sadie) travelled all the way to our wedding venue to view it, see the kitchen space and what they had to work with, etc. We planned with the venue staff where the buffet would be set up etc... It all ran smoothly (except I was a few minutes late because my car decided not to start!), Dookies were punctual... Early infact! Totally understood my car dilemma and did the kitchen tour (with our best man and venue staff) in my absence. Both Sean and Sadie gave us valuable input which I am grateful for. Sean said, now you don't need to worry about anything catering wise, we've got it covered and anything else you need just let us know (paraphrasing).

BETWEEN VENUE VISIT & WEDDING
Occasional check in to make sure everything was in hand. Sean let us know when they were planning to get all the ingredients, he let us know when they were prepping their staff etc. I called Sean a few days prior to see if they had a cake knife we could use and also asked a cheeky favour regarding our cake - again, over and above, incredible service!

THE BIG DAY!!!
Well... I'm the bride so I wasn't there during set up but I heard no complaints whatsoever! I first saw Dookies when they came to serve my husband and I appetisers during our couple photos after ceremony. They served us in such excellence and looked incredible themselves! We had, no only our planned appetisers but some extra treats involving chocolate sauce!!!! My husband and I were beyond blessed and enjoyed every single bit!!! Amazing! Amazing! Amazing!!!!
The buffet was great! Dookies served our head table and made sure we had all we needed. The corn was missing from our plate but quickly rectified (in hindsight, was probably in my favour because I didn't bring floss lol)... Everyone ate, was full, and took the leftover like it was nobody's business lol... Gratefully, our wedding team was able to scoop a couple containers for my husband and I to take away with us before they were gone! Woohoo!!!
Dookies assisted with our cake (again, above and beyond) and left the kitchen as they found it. No issues at all as far as I'm aware! Sean came to let us know they were all cleaned up and when they were leaving.

AFTER WEDDING
Sean knew we were flying out for our honeymoon early the next morning and didn't disturb us until he knew we were back - we had a call and discussed how it went etc and we were able to express our gratitude for their service and them as people!

Sean and Sadie previously shared with us why they decided to start catering weddings and their heart and passion for it.
Needless to say, we definitely made the right choice.

Recently used Dookies for our daughter’s birthday party and they were excellent. Everything from the service to the food to the vibes was perfect. Our guests still talk about the food to this day and the party was a month ago! Highly recommend. You will not regret it!

Food was so important to us for our wedding, so lucky we found Dookies Grill! Guests were talking about it all night long and it was the main topic of conversation the next day! Everything was perfect, from communication to taster sessions to ensuring everything went smoothly on the day. Can’t thank you enough, you made our wedding food dreams come true!

I attended a wedding on the 10th April, where DOOKIES Grill were catering. The fried dumplings and curried goat were sensational. The meat was so tender and the flavours were amazing. I would recommend this company time and time again! Delicious 😋

We had the pleasure of our first Wellbeing Event at the Lambeth operation being catered by Dookies. Sean, has been nothing but accommodating and made planning such a large (and sometimes stressful) event easygoing.

The team catered to our needs, stayed calm under pressure and did whatever they could to ensure our staff were happy with the service.

Dookies catered for my daughter’s birthday party. We had 75 guests in a venue with no kitchen facilities whatsoever. Dookies provided a full, hot deliciously tasty Caribbean buffet, perfectly cooked, and ready bang on time for our guests.
The food was exquisite! Everything went smoothly despite the venue’s limited resources.
Everything ran to time, and the presentation/ aesthetic was superb
So many people (including cooks and other professional chefs who were there, commented on how great the food was. There was more than enough, and all the details were carefully thought of and organised.
All staff were pleasant and welcoming to my guests which was impotent because I wanted the party to feel like home from home and it really did.
Special shout out to Maz herself for just being so calm and supportive to me personally all day.
