I have experienced nothing but problems…

I have experienced nothing but problems with this company. If you are looking for a reliable internet and phone provider then these aren't the company to use. Our internet regularly drops out and can be off for hours, days and even weekends, which leaves us open to theft and vandalism. No pre warning and our internet can be off for 2 - 3 days without so much as an apology. !! Be Warned. Buyer Beware

Unpleasant, Unreasonable and Entitled

Direct Voice and Data are in my view unpleasant, unreasonable and entitled.
I have been a customer for some 20 years.
Recently BT changed our landline to VOIP without me realising it was going to happen until a couple of days before it did. This caused the Panasonic Switchboard I paid maintenance to them for to stop working.
I rang Direct Voice and Data and they told me, (not surprisingly as they always say ring BT first), to ring BT and get an adapter from them. Failing that I would need to replace my entire phone system with a new one they could supply.
BT sent the adapter which didn’t work. Direct Voice and Data couldn't make the old system work. I didn’t want a new system for a variety of reasons so I cancelled the contract, disconnected the phones and binned them.
This cancellation, which was confirmed by their Senior Operations Coordinator Joe Blakely with immediate effect, was later overruled by their accounts department.
They have demanded a full years’ service contract fee because the phone system died a month before the service contract renewal date, not 3 months or more. I have to pay them to maintain a phone system that no longer exists -or debt collectors it is!
Dealing with them and particularly the manager
Ian Hopkinson-Scott has generated the review title, “unpleasant, unreasonable and entitled”.
Direct Voice and Data thoroughly deserve it.

At DVAD we pride ourselves on providing our customers with a complete solution, with total dedication to quality, whilst providing them with the very best service experience. We take all feedback very seriously and have a defined process to thoroughly investigate any issue that is raised. We have investigated all correspondence with you around this issue and we have reviewed your maintenance contract. This investigation has concluded that your original fault was due to a change made by your phone line provider. Your phone line was obtained direct from BT which meant this was not part of the maintenance contract you had with us and was out of our control. When you contacted DVAD about this issue we provided alternative options and solutions however ultimately the changes from BT were out of our control. As per our contract with you, we require 3 months’ notice if you wish to terminate your support contract. As a gesture of goodwill, we have already discounted your remaining contracted charges by 50%. We are sad to lose any customer, especially one that has used our services for so long, and we wish you the best moving forward with your new solution.
