Dears Pharmacy & Travel Clinic - Easter Road Anmeldelser 64

Been going to this pharmacy for about 26 years. They are v busy, but the staff are fantastic. Reception staff so friendly and empathic. Great pharmacists and assistants. Totally professional. They all know me and my family and we feel v safe in their hands.
Can't praise them highly enough!

The employees at our local Dears are kind and decent people but the technical systems they are working with, and processes the pharmacy uses to operate are truly woeful.

The staff usually can't find the prescriptions sent from the surgery. Most of the times there is a prescription for a member of my family we have to either get it sent a second time or to just repeatedly ask for them to check different inboxes until it gets found. Then you have to wait at the pharmacy for 30mins for them to prepare the prescription (a standard, if totally bs practice of modern pharmacies), but they then usually forget to call you. On *four* occasions I've waited more than 45mins (on two occasions with a sad sick infant) only to have to go up to the desk. On one occasion I waited 1.5 hours. Then you have to wait while they riffle through a literal pile of bags of prescriptions they have behind the desk.

If it helps to end this madness I would be very happy to evidence these experiences.

Unprofessional arrogant staff that cannot be bothered to help. Extremely low customer service. Unable to advise on basic problems with administration. Reactionary, vindictive, petty, staff with poor training and worse people skills.

Came to a Dears Pharmacy to do the AMH test for female fertility. Advertised online as £79 with very small fine print on booking and paying for it saying any additional feels to be paid on site once at the appointment. Was only told after the blood was drawn that there is a £30 blood drawing fee additional to this - this was nowhere in my confirmation email. So total comes for £119. May as well have gone for the in home tests from Superdrug or other providers that as at £80.
Please be aware of the total fees included prior to booking appointment.

Terrible!!! No one knows what the the other is doing, I went to pick up a prescription which they said they couldn’t find but after about 20 mins and passing the buck to 4 other people it was right in front of them. Not to mention there must have been 9 people on staff and they were wandering about eating ice lollies!! This pharmacy needs to sort there sh”t
out and get a decent manager!!!!

This pharmacy has messed up on a number of occasions not processing prescriptions or processing with a delay which put me at risk (cardiovascular prescription). Terrible customer service. Had to raise a formal complaint to which they responded that I was provided exclusive customer service! They never learn, your complaint or feed back means nothing to them! My GP supported me and moved all my prescriptions to a diffrent pharmacy now. NOT RECOMENDED.

Every time I try to get my repeat prescription there is a problem. Its like an encyclopaedia of errors including giving me another person with completely different names bag of medicines. They couldnt give a crap that I gave to go without my meds because they run out.

Dears Pharmacy conducted our covid testing for our return flight home. Some.od us tested postove and had to stay a little longer but Claudia and Kate were great to work with. They both had a very positive attitude and helped us through the process. All the results were provided very quickly. Thanks for your help!

I was on holiday and needed a PCR test before I could return to USA. I tested positive unfortunately. Claudia continued to perform the testing at intervals as required. She was very professional and answered all questions. Thanks Claudia

I attended for ear microsuction and Claudia was brilliant. Very informed, engaged with me well throughout, and managed to deal with even the most stubborn earwax in a determined but pain-free way. Hearing completely restored - very satisfied customer!

I went to Dears pharmacy for a vaccine consultation and returned weekly to get the various vaccinations that I was recommended for going abroad to Thailand. The pharmacist Anna was especially kind and helpful when informing me of the recommended vaccinations I'd need. I'm not that keen on needles but she was very considerate of this and made the process of getting my doses painless and easy. In fact all the staff I interacted with were very helpful. Rebecca who gave me my vaccination doses one week was also fantastic with making sure everything went smoothly. And I didn't catch her name but the lady at the reception, with black hair and glasses was always friendly and helpful in sorting out my payments each week.

Again the place was very professional and my experience there was very enjoyable. I was seen to quickly, the staff there were lovely and I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a vaccine consultation or needing vaccinations for traveling.

Again big thank you to Anna who did a wonderful job making me comfortable, being friendly and giving me all the information I needed.

Claudia at the Easter Road Dears in Edinburgh took me as a walk-in, deferring her lunch for a COVID Antigen test. The entire staff was professional, prompt and polite.

I am planning my holiday in a rush and the team of easter road in Edinburgh could not have been more kind, helpful and professional.

Claudia has the best personality for this role! She listens and is considerate, yet very efficient! She went above and beyond for me today making my visit easy and ensuring I had everything I needed.

Had PCR swabs done for travelling home to Canada. Claudia was the one who did the swabs for us. She was so lovely and helpful. Once she registered our swabs, she let us share her internet connection to ensure we got the confirmation emails. This was above and beyond what I would expect anyone to do. She really cared that we got the results of the test.

Very poorly run. Been given wrong prescription once, had to wait 20 minutes another time because they had lost it. Today queued to buy something for 10 minutes. One person serving despite several behind the counter. Left empty handed.

Claudia was really helpful. As were the front desk staff. Thanks!

Visited Dears on Easter Road today. I'd booked an appointment for ear wax suction. Claudia was brilliant and advised suction wasn't required.
She took time to show me the photos she had taken and provided alternative remedies.
It's a very professional set up.
Thanks all staff.
