I have not had my refund and there is no communication with this company also everytime i order shoes they do not fit, i love the shoes theyre beautifully made but have trouble with fit and refunds

These shoes are gorgeous and fit perfectly. They are comfortable, so stylish, and I feel fabulous wearing them.

the whole process from purchase to delivery etc was very easy, and Dear Frances email contact very accessible, responsive and very helpful

I purchased a leather pair of sandals a while ago and couple months into wearing them, the leather started to peel everywhere. I emailed customer service but they told me they were unable to assist. For $500 shoes you would expect much better quality and longevity. I will not be purchasing from them again.

Absolutely gorgeous shoes. Beautifully made. Easy to order. Great value (for the quality). Delivery almost instant! Wonderful, ecological but stunning packaging. I don't normally write reviews. I am not that person! But this deserved recognition.

PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL BEFORE ORDERING FROM THIS COMPANY.
I first had an issue with this company when trying to organise a return - I ordered some shoes in their sale which immediately knew I wanted to return as they were too small. There was some light wear on the soles of the shoes which I didn't think too much of, knowing they were soft leather soles and that I wasn't keeping them anyway. Their returns policy for sale items is purposefully hidden - it says in multiple places on the webpage they offer 'free returns' (even in the delivery and returns dropdown) and they hide the fact that they charge a £20 return fee under the 'details' section - obviously not what you're clicking on. I pointed out multiple times that this was misleading and not in keeping with the Customer Protection act, but I got a series of frustrating emails back where they quoted various other parts of the website and terms and conditions back at me, never engaging with my points or acknowledging that burying the returns information in an unrelated subsection, while continuing to plaster 'free returns' all over their website (without an asterisk or accompanying clickable terms and conditions) was confusing. I decided to swallow the fee and return the shoes anyway.

However, when the shoes were returned, I got an email from them saying that soles of the shoes were dirty, marked, and unsaleable, and they couldn't offer me a refund. I pointed out this was the condition in which they sold the shoes to me, and I had only tried them on briefly on a soft surface. I asked them to provide photographs of the shoes ahead of sending them to me to prove a different condition, which they couldn't do - instead sending me stock photos of example soles. They said if the shoes had arrived damaged, it was my responsibility to have let them know this as soon as the shoes arrived, quoting random parts of their ts&cs at me as their defence, as they did with their refund. I now feel completely frustrated, powerless and out of options. I said I would issue a chargeback if the shoes weren't refunded (noting in response to a previous customer here that they were keen to avoid such a process), but they seemed to welcome this. I tried to point out how frustrating their whole customer experience had been, but they said that after internal review (which seemed to be able to happen in a matter of hours), they felt satisfied with how they'd handled the correspondence.

PLEASE be super careful ordering from this company if you are unsure of keeping your purchase - and if there are ANY small marks on the soles of the shoes report them as damaged immediately to avoid being in the situation I'm now in. Or just avoid them altogether.

I absolutely love these slides, really beautiful quality and leather. Packaging is gorgeous too BUT they are tight and they hurt! Hoping the leather gives. I have slim feet too and am always a size 5, so its strange.

I now own a beautiful selection of summer styles, including three colors of the Balla Trainer, the Balla Bootie in both white and black mesh, the Topo Flat - Rose Mesh.
​Living in the UAE, finding footwear that balances high fashion with extreme heat can be a challenge, but this collection is a dream for the Emirates. The shoes are incredibly lightweight and breathable, keeping my feet cool. The craftsmanship is flawless—the seams are so thin and seamless that they never chafe or rub. They look incredibly fresh, unique, and elegant. Wearing them is a true pleasure!

Love love love the shoes. They are so well made and classic so I can wear for years. They really are beautiful. Very happy with them.

Joss boots are so comfortable. In fact all I purchase is Dear Francis. They have padding in the foot area which makes you think your walking on air.
I have purchased theJoss loafers and Mary Jane’s. Again they are so comfy. I have rheumatoid arthritis and these shoes help me tremendously. They are the only ones I can wear. All shoes are gorgeous and I mean gorgeous. Run fast to buy a pair because they sell out.

These sandals are as beautiful as they look in the photos, but at this price point I would have expected a bit more cushioning in the footbed. Instead, they're as hard and unyielding as a pair of Birkenstocks. If that suits your foot shape, that's fine, but I find these less than comfortable to walk in for any length of time.

The boots and shoes are the finest quality and most beautiful styling. But most importantly, they are the most comfortable shoes and boots I own. I never wear socks with them, not even in the boots as the interior leather is incredibly soft and non abrasive. I have 2 pairs of boots and one pair of shoes. They all look like new even though some are 3-4 years old.
I have not tried the mesh as the styles don’t appear to have enough support, so I can’t comment on those.

Beautiful shoes. Easy to order on line. The design and materials used are outstanding. I live in Marrakech and Paris and am able to wear them almost all year round. There is always someone who notices my shoes and compliments them.

The only great thing about this brand is how they promote their products. There is nothing luxury about it apart from the image they crafted. The customer service was not nice nor accommodating at all. No matching price or flexibility. The sizing are very inaccurate. They are so uncomfortable, poor insole. I would suggest considering other brands before you land on these.

I've bought two pairs for shoes from Dear Frances, and waiting on my third pair. The two I have are one pair of leather heels and one pair of leather boots. The leather is divine and both pairs of shoes fit comfortably from the get-go, no need to break into them. These shoes really exude what one would expect from Italian craftsmanship and quality. I eagerly await my sandals! I hope the brand can maintain it's quality in a time when many brands take on cost-cutting measures that sacrifice quality and ultimately, hurt their brand and business.

I ordered from Spain and the process was smooth! They sent me the tracking number, I clicked on it and I saw that UPS required me a letter signed, I did it and send it, so easy!
I ordered q second pair for my sister cause’ she loved mine, and UPS didn’t asked for nothing this time.
People always ask me about them all the time!
