Dr Gore was fantastic throughout the process from initial consultation through delivery of the surgery, and then a final follow up review. I was especially touched by his personal call during my recovery to check that I was on track, and I found the whole process amazing. A life changing surgery, delivered very well.

I had an excellent experience at Moorfields private clinic, Dr Gore was incredibly attentive and provided me with clear explantations of my options. Throughout the surgery he was calm and reassuring making me feel like I was in very safe hands. I had an excellent outcome from my intraocular lens implantation and could not recommend it more, has changed my life!!

Mr Daniel Gore has given me back my eyesight after years of wearing glasses and contact lenses I now have 20/ 20 vision. I can't thank him and his nurses enough. They showed me kindness and patience throughout my eye surgery and the aftercare was excellent.

I had TransPRK with Mr Gore in November last year and I can’t recommend his services enough.

I’ve been wearing glasses for short sightedness for the last ten years and was at the stage where I needed to wear them all the time, which I really disliked. Nothing worse than getting all dolled up… and then putting glasses on. After a few failed attempts at wearing contacts I decided to investigate laser eye surgery. I did a lot of research about the best place to get it done in London and decided to go with Mr Gore at Moorfields Private. It’s a little pricier than some of the high street clinics, but you only have two eyes, so it’s worth paying for the best.

The initial consultation was very thorough and I spent a good amount of time with Mr Gore and his team who ensured I understood what the surgery entailed, the risks and benefits.

I had the procedure 4 weeks after my initial appointment. I was quite anxious as I have a strong blink reflex (hence not being able to make contacts work), but Mr Gore was really supportive and it was extremely simple and quick on the day. I had minimal pain afterwards and Mr Gore called me over the weekend to check in.

TransPRK takes a while to heal so my vision was blurry for about a week as expected. 4 months on it is better than 20/20.

I knew I’d end up saying this and sure enough, I will say it… my only regret is not doing it much sooner. And I couldn’t have had a better surgeon. Mr Gore is instantly likeable. He has a lovely approach which put me at complete ease each step of the way. He is extremely good at what he does and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anybody considering ditching their glasses. Thank you Mr Gore and team.

I underwent transPRK laser eye surgery, performed by Mr Gore. My prescription was -6 with astigmatism. Mr Gore recommended transPRK as my corneas were thinner than average and transPRK is more conservative.

The whole process from start to finish was a breeze. The initial consultation was incredibly thorough and Mr Gore explained everything including giving a balanced overview of the benefits and risks. At no point did I feel that I was being pushed to go ahead with surgery.

The pre-op consultation was again incredibly thorough, the nurse went through all of the medications and drops I would need to take in detail, and answered all of my questions.

The operation was so quick and easy. What I really appreciated was that Mr Gore was talking the entire time explaining what he was doing and what to expect next, which really calmed me down.

After the surgery, the nurses on the aftercare helpline were so helpful and it was really quick to get through to them on the phone.

My eyesight is amazing now - Overall highly recommend!

My eyes treatment went really well so at present I do not need to use my glasses. I can read from long and short distance.

After deciding I wanted to proceed with laser eye surgery to correct my high prescription of -6 in both eyes, then came the tricky decision to decide which surgeon in which hospital/clinic, as of course there is always the worry that something may go wrong. I chose to go with a personal recommendation to minimise risk and worry as much as possible. Although Mr Gore is slightly more expensive than some of the high street providers, I was more than happy to pay extra for the peace of mind, and knowing that Moorfields is one of the world's most prestigious eye hospitals.

I am now almost 4 months post-surgery, I had my final sign-off appointment last week and was thrilled to learn that my vision without glasses is now better than 20/20 - it is amazing! Mr Gore also informed me that it is hard to tell from the scans that anything has happened as my eyes have healed so well - I am confident this is down to Mr Gore's excellent precision and skill.

I have absolutely nothing negative to say about my experience, I was reassured the whole way through and all of my questions were answered. It is truly lifechanging and I would urge anyone thinking about it to go for the procedure - my quality of life has increased beyond words.
