I’m very happy with Mr Gore and my TransPRK surgery. Before the surgery I had all the information I wanted and gave his recommendation. In the day of surgery he made feel relaxed. The surgery itself was quicker than I expected. Recovery is a bit challenging but with clear instructions, prescriptions and several months later extremely happy with the results.

Doctor Gore was very patient and thorough. During our consultation, he explained things very clearly and answered all questions I had patiently. During my surgery, he made sure I was comfortable at all times. When I pointed out some discomfort, he immediately put more drops in my eyes and all was fine in the end.
Doctor Gore's team was very friendly as well while doing my tests.
I was well looked after and had a very pleasant experience before, during and after the surgery. The result of my surgery is very successful and I am very happy that I don't need to wear glasses anymore (after wearing them for more than 16 years). I would like to say thank you to Doctor Gore and his team for all their help and hard work.

Daniel Gore at Moorfields was recommended to me as “one of the best in the business”. I had been considering having correction to my eyesight for a long time and am glad I chose Dan and Moorfields to do so. The whole experience from start to finish was excellent. I had ICL, permanent contact lenses, with mono vision. Dan did a fantastic job and I now have just short of 20:20 vision and can even manage without reading glasses most of the time. I am finally free of contact lenses and glasses which has transformed my life. I do lots of sports including swimming and it had become increasingly difficult to manage my long distance sight along with the age related deterioration of my short/reading sight. I now don’t have to think about putting in and taking out lenses or reaching for my glasses first thing in the morning before I get up so I can see! I can go out without thinking of taking spare lenses or glasses. It’s given me a sense of freedom after 40 years of wearing glasses. As I’ve heard many others say, “I wish I’d had it done years ago!”

The whole process and experience was excellent with good communication and service from everyone involved including Dan Gore’s PA and his team. After my initial enquiry I had a consultation to assess my eyes and discuss my options. I had a comprehensive sight test and eye examination conducted by one of the doctors which was efficient, thorough and well explained. Dan talked me thorough the results and considering my personal requirements and aspirations recommended ICL treatment. I was provided with a very helpful information booklet on the procedure so I was able to consider this carefully. I had a few queries which Dan responded to and I decided to proceed. My lenses had to be ordered and the appointment for the surgery was made promptly after they were available.
On the day of the surgery I was a little apprehensive and also excited. I was prepared well by the nursing team and both Dan and the anaesthetist both saw me and talked through the procedure and everything was clear and I was reassured. All went to plan and I didn’t feel a thing thanks to the sedative and careful anaesthetic in my eyes. I was on my way home within about 4 hours of arriving at the hospital.
I had been warned that I may experience some discomfort so was not surprised when I had pain in one eye and after taking paracetamol it was under control. The next day I could see quite well and by the end of that day my sight was very good and carried on improving over the next few days. I wore an eye mask for the first few nights to stop rubbing my eyes inadvertently and applied the drops for 2 weeks. Dan called me after a few days to check how I was doing and other than some halos when I caught a light at night or the sun everything was fine. He reassured me that this would subside and by the time of my follow up (4/5 weeks later) they had almost disappeared.
I highly recommend Dan Gore and the team at Moorfields.

From the very beginning I felt safe and in competent hands. Mr. Gore and his team were very friendly and professional. During surgery (lasik on both eyes) he explained the procedure and informed me about every step in advance, which was really reassuring as it is quite a weird feeling. I had no pain at all, no complications and my eyes healed quickly. I would 100% recommend Mr Gore and his team!!

I had been considering this procedure for some time but was very nervous about it. Mr Gore explained the procedure very clearly and outlined the pros, cons and risk factors in unstinting detail. The preparatory scans and sight tests carried out were exhaustive. All in all I had a lot of info to digest and think about before deciding to go ahead. I am so glad I did go ahead!! Successful cataract op for both eyes, done on two separate days. The initial confusion over which eye to be done first was very quickly resolved. I highly recommend Mr Daniel Gore and his team.

The follow up was very good where I was told my eyesight was now 20/20 and at 66 years of age I think is fantastic

I am totally happy with my excellent treatment under the care of Daniel Gore.
I am 63 years old and had replacement multifocal lenses in both eyes followed 5 months later by laser surgery to enhance my long distance vision in one eye.
Every small detail about the procedures was discussed and I no longer felt worried.
I felt in very capable hands and Daniel talked to me throughout surgery telling me exactly what he was doing. There was minimal discomfort during and after the procedures and my after care has been super.
I haven’t needed to wear spectacles since and so have the perfect end result.

The entire process from start to finish was exceptional. Mr Gore and his wider team were professional, honest, patient and extremely helpful. All my questions were answered clearly and I felt at ease putting my health and eye care in the hands of the entire team. My eyes healed so rapidly that my brain is still very much processing the fact I no longer wear contacts or glasses. After 21 years in glasses, Mr Gore has certainly changed my life for the better!

I opted for TransPRK surgery with Mr Gore to correct my severe short-sightedness after many years of heavy glasses, dry eyes due to contact lenses and 2 pandemic years of over-Zooming. Mr Gore and his team were very clear and open about my options throughout, service at Moorfields was excellent and very professional and the surgery itself was much quicker than I thought it would be. Three months on I have 'better than 20/20 vision' and just been discharged.
