absolutely horrendous! AVOID AVOID AVOID!

I wanted a bar to replace the one I had, I've been looking for ages. I saw the bar on Facebook and contacted them as I wanted the bar longer and I wanted 3 stools instead of 2. Within minutes he contacted me and gave me a price. For what I wanted it was a very good price. I ordered it straight away. He was in contact with me throughout. Within 2 weeks I had my bar. The delivery driver contacted me and came on the date he said. Excellent service. My bar is absolutely stunning, I love it. It was an early Christmas present from the wife and my daughter. Would recommend him to anyone that wants a good quality var

I ordered a bar on the 10 th September and was promised it will be delivered in 4 weeks, contact on what’s app was going smooth, i was expecting a delivery e mail which they never sent in a month so I started asking on what’s up and they kept coming out with excuses after excuses, anyway to cut short, were in the end of November and nothing received yet, they blocked me from there facebook page for leaving a negative comments, they had the balls to what’s up me about the comment i made and ending blocking me on what’s up , they scammed me £400 , no goods, no refund and no contact at all, how is this company still allowed to trade ?? They are thieves.

Very happy with my bar and stools and barrel table .
Delivery within a week of ordering , last I was liaising with via watts app very helpful and polite .
Delivery driver polite and friendly , and helpful .
Products look exactly like pictures on web site .
Very happy customer and very happy to recommend.

Like most on here not happy with this company, ordered a bar and wall bar back in March , added a worktop before it was delivered and when the bar arrived in May there was no worktop and the optics were missing from the wall bar ...... after constant txts whatsapp messages and emails I have still no worktop or optics ......

Like most, gutted I had to give them one star. Please don't get involved with them.
Appalling company to deal with, poor standard products, awful customer service, rude and full of lies....that is being polite.
Originally ordered a bar and then added a worktop and shelf. This had 3 failed deliveries before the bar finally arrived about 2 months late, but without the worktop and shelf.
No communication from the company, I had to chase everything, the delivery driver wasn't surprised that products were missing.
The bar was ok, but we've had to strengthen it and hope it sees the year out!
After several more weeks of chasing the worktop and shelf we got told it was on it's way, didn't turn up, then randomly did a day later. (3-4 months after the original delivery date!😮)
Wish it had never turned up!😡 can't wait to burn it! Wrong size, wrong colour, not flat....unusable to say the least, bits of wood with a few screws in to just about hold it together.
Several more weeks of chasing and they finally agreed to collect the product and issue a refund. More lies unfortunately.
Never turned up to collect, said they had issued the refund, but never received it and they have now blocked me.
Not sure if trading standards will do anything, but companies like this shouldn't get away with ripping so many people off.
This is a short version, impossible to state how much stress and chasing this has caused us. Completely ruined our summer project, ripped us off and left us out of pocket. Finding more and more people who have unfortunately suffered at the hands of this company.

Customer service was fantastic from start to finish , the Bar , Stools and Barrel table were exactly as described and better quality then we expected .

When we ordered it stated 2 to 4 weeks delivery , so surprised to have it delivered after only 5 days , delivery driver was extremely nice and the service overall was excellent.

Avoid! Sent money for a bar with 4 stools via bank transfer after messaging the company on WhatsApp. They stated 2 weeks for delivery but the goods never came and they never sent an invoice as promised. WhatsApp responses have been slow since paying, with no updates provided on order progress despite requests. Latest message has been read and ignored, so I have gone to my bank to recover funds and reported the company to Action Fraud.

After searching for a gift for my husband’s 50th birthday.. I found custom wood.
We have a bar and I got him the Guinness barrel with stools.
He loves it!! We were going to keep it in the garden, but decided it’s too good for that and have made room in our garden bar.
Fast delivery and great customer care via WhatsApp.
Also, delivery guy was super helpful and kept in contact on delivery day.

Initially all good with contact being made by WhatsApp. Details were exchanged and the full amount, £600 paid. From that point on the whole experience was both disastrous and truly painful. We wanted the items for our newly built summerhouse and given a verbal confirmation they would be ready and shipped within 3 weeks. Fast forward and the 3 weeks past with never ending excuses of driver tacho issues, issues with shipping and promises broken endless times. We arranged at least five times to be at home for delivery to be constantly let down time and again. All attempts to speak to via WhatsApp were ignored and then replies via text were finally replied to the next day without knowing if delivery was confirmed. I could go on and on and to be honest it’s taken me a while to submit the review because I was so annoyed. Let’s now move on to the actual items. When they were finally delivered, I wish I had been home, unfortunately I was working abroad at the time. I would have refused to accept and told them to take back. The workmanship is truly the worse I’ve seen on a supposed £600 bar. Basically pallets and scaffolding boards cut up and screwed together. The bar actually needed to be supported to stand on its own. The barrel top, two pieces of scaffold board screwed directly from the top so you could see all the screws and were not even filled in. All the stools were roughly constructed with the so called leather not even trimmed after it had been stapled underneath. The saying botch it and scarper come to mind and I have since disposed of the bar and stools on Facebook as I was embarrassed to have them in the summer house. Customer service is shocking, communication once the goods are paid for is scant at best and no one wants to talk to you. I have since made my own and urge anyone to seriously think hard before parting with any of your hard earned money. Avoid avoid avoid, repeat, avoid and do not pass any money unless like me, you want to be both extremely disappointed and annoyed. Having read several other reviews that mention trying to get anything back, the fact I got rid leaves me with a very expensive barrel which I am now in the process of restoring and making into a proper statement piece. Finally, dont expect any follow up customer service to see if there are any issues and you are happy with the goods. Absolute shambles

I am baffled re the good & nice positive reviews regarding this company. They are a rip off merchant. Buyer beware....i wish I had followed my gut instinct and followed the other negative (& true reviews). If you unwisely decide to go with them I recommend (like me) you use your credit card....as your bank (like mine) will be going after them for non delivery of goods.
The start was excellent. On a saturday we were messaging re dimensions for a bar and stools. I was very impressed - Summa was amazing. A few days later I paid in full and waited the 4 weeks then chased them numerous (5 in fact). Eventually Summa responded. Noted they would provide a date in 2 weeks time. I was sceptical but hopeful. No email. I chased and chased. I was given a date for arrival. No couriers ever reached out. The goods never arrived.
I re-contacted them and a new date given. Again no arrival. Nothing. I chased and they told me they would come back to me.
I told them I had informed my bank of failure to provide services. HSBC I hope are hunting them down for the fraudsters that they clearly are.
I am not an unfair man. But these people are not nice. They take peoples hard earned money and walk away. Please, please do not buy from them....you will regret it.

This is a small company so be patient with responses as the guys are working too, so you may not get a reply straight away. Delivery driver great and phoned on the day of delivery giving me 3/4 hr notice. This was great as it meant i could get help for unloading the items.

We received a Guinness barrel and two stools as a wedding gift on 20 August 2024. We were disappointed with the finish and condition of the product so contacted Custom Wood Company on the same day to request that the items be returned and for a full refund to be processed.

Custom Wood Company explained that the refund would be the amount paid less a £40 return fee to pay for collection.

We have (and continue) to face significant difficulties in obtaining a response from Custom Wood Company. They communicated that a courier would collect the items on 24 September 2024. No courier arrived and there was no communication or apology from Custom Wood Company.

Since 20 August 2024 we have made multiple attempts to communicate with Custom Wood Company but as of today’s date (10 October 2024), we are yet to receive any refund and the items are still at our property with no confirmed collection date. Unfortunately we have had to initiate court proceedings in order to recover the amount paid for the items.

UPDATE - 9 NOV 2024: Custom Wood Company failed to reply to the court claim for £270. We have now progressed the matter to the County Court for a summary judgment to be made. Despite interacting with Summa and Custom Wood Company, they have refused to respond.

UPDATE - 17 January 2025: the county court has now issued a summary judgment against The Customer Wood Company Ltd. We will be seeking enforcement of the court order in due course.

Thank you so much for my excellent product.. exactly what it says on the tin.... I know there are quite a lot of mixed reviews but my experience was positive.. if ordering with this company, be patient.. all things come to those who wait... a little bit of compassion for an evolving company.. good luck to all the custom wood guys and girls who do their very best to uphold such a high standard.

Ordered a yellow Tennents Lager barrel and stools , they sent a plain brown barrel.
It was dropped off at my work when I wasn’t there or I would have sent it back.
Been trying to get them to replace it.
Been waiting months.
They have no phone line so can’t speak to them.
Been messaging them , they keep making promises to replace it but never happens.
Put a comment on their Facebook page now been blocked.
If you like throw money away then these are the guys for you.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can’t thanks the guys enough for my tile topped bar and stools, they look awesome in my lounge as a feature, the only problem is that I’m now the go to for an after party haha! Thanks guys!

Had over a thousand pounds off me....I only saw the positive reviews didn't I....ordered in June....no phone line too noisy they say ..don't reply to your emails so don't bother trying that way, I only had a WhatsApp conversation...but they only reply when they feel like it!!! Nearly October still no delivery...I managed to lose my first review so this is a much shorter version....but it's a trend...they're pally pally take your money...boom
..no product is ever delivered....you think they would make an effort...or would be worried about negative comments...but clearly they don't care....don't give them your money!!

This is a great business, which takes real care to ensure the products are the very best quality. We ordered a bar, it arrived within 21 days as promised and we are so pleased with it. Great quality, love the design and the price was so reasonable. Looking at the website, they make other lovely furniture, we will be buying more products. Well done.

They kept us updated with delivery as the weather was bad and the driver got stuck! May I also add that the delivery was exceptionally quick, 4 days after the order. The bar itself is incredible and they stayed to make sure we were happy with it before leaving. Ignore the negative reviews and shop here! My family have also bought from here and we will continue to recommend!

I can't recommend this company enough. The communication and customer service was fantastic and our new bar was delivered very quickly. The quality of the bar is fantastic and is a great addition to our new summerhouse.
