I am delighted with my bar bundle, I ordered the bar, barrel table and 4 upholstered stools and all I can say is WOW, WOW WOW!! I am embarrassed to say I was sceptical at first after reading some of these reviews but I fell in love with the pictures and couldn't find anything that closely matched the design or price so I decided to reach out to Summa and told her my concerns. She immediately put my fears to bed and I placed my order. I am based in Glasgow and the websites states 3 weeks delivery but I received it just under that. I can't comment on anyone else's experience but please don't let that put you off, if you have any concerns reach out to Summa, she responded to me immediately any time I had a query. I found her to be a top-class person and doesn't deserve some of the comments she's received. I have received a first class service and I am over the moon with my bar bundle. The quality and craftsmanship are second to none and I will not hesitate to buy from The Custom Wood Company again in the future. A million thank yous to Summa and her wonderful team. I hope your business continues to flourish.

I genuinely believe these people may be good at what they do. However whether you end up with anything for your money seems to be a lottery and I wasn't one of the lucky ones. They simply took my money!
After a lengthy delivery delay and a lot of stories about drivers running out of time and disappearing and "we're starting on it next week" and then blanking me when I got fed up and asked for a refund, I've now turned to Trading Standards.
Why run a business this way?

22/8/24 - Further to reply to my review I am happy to purchase this bar if the company could send me a photo. It was never my intention to leave them out of pocket, but I lost confidence that my bar ever existed. So if it is there I will buy. Just send me a photo!

Awful customer service. We ordered barrel tables for our business, we wanted our logo sprayed onto them. We paid and were told 2 weeks. Got to the delivery date and nothing, went round the houses trying to find a contact number and was told they’d been delayed but will be with us next week. Next week came and nothing. Emailed and was told they’re just being done and will be with us in 48 hours. Still nothing, then was told the barrels hadn’t even been delivered to their warehouse!? Eventually when we recieved the barrels, they didn’t even have our logo on and the finish was poor. We had to re-drill so that the metal rings actually stayed on the barrel. Just awful customer service, we did eventually receive a refund for the missing logo but the whole experience was a joke and such awful service, not easy to contact and just so blunt and unhelpful. And the finish on the products isn’t even worth the money. We wanted to support an independent business but could not warn people enough that this company is simply dreadful. My review was deleted so here we try again.

Had our cattio built today by Summa and her team and can’t fault them one bit! Turned up when said, then built an amazing cattio would definitely recommend 100%

We’ve just had our cattio built, and wow!!! We are so so so impressed. It’s everything we’ve asked for and more. Amazing and quick service. Would 10000% recommend, we are already planning our next build😄

Ordered Guinness Barrel and two stools 15th May 24, was to be delivered 28th June, nothing arrived, I emailed and was told sorry would be 3rd July, again nothing, I emailed again and they said that Friday but then rang that morning to say Tues 9th July and because of the inconvenience they would supply two extra stools. The barrel did turn up (finish not great, looked as if it was rushed) but none of the stools. I emailed again and they said the stools would be posted out 8th July, again nothing and now they are not answering my emails. I would definitely not recommend this company to anyone, save your money and the stress it causes.

Horrible liars waste of time items never came poor finish do not use as you will lose money simple, they have now replied to me, as they are aware they never sent optics and still

This review is based on fact, and I have the messages to back my review.
Upon initial interest I were promptly contacted by a very polite lady.
I ordered and paid via there banking details.
I were told my item would arrive late evening 5 days later.
This day/ evening arrived and by mid evening I contacted the lady again who replied she would contact the driver for an update.
Near 2 hours passed before I heard anything, by now it were 1015 at night. I were told her child were very unwell and that she had to care for him hence delay in responding.Very apologetic and promised to contact me early following day.
I received a message as promised by 6am next day stating she had tracked the vehicle and contacted driver, and that I would receive my item between 5pm and 7pm that day.
I contacted her at 5.20pm for an update on progress .
She replied that the M5 were extremely busy today but the item is on its way.
I enquired as to why the driver were on the M5 which is in the completely wrong direction from where I am. Apparently he again did the delivery in reverse order and were still delivering the days previous deliveries.
By 8.30 had received no more messages so again contacted the lady asking her for an update on van position and eta.
She said that it were a hire van and had no tracking facility, i replied but it is the same van as previous day as the chap were still delivering the previous days delivery , and you told me at 6am this morning you HAD tracked the vehicle. No reply for over half an hour.
Eventually she kindly offered me another delivery for 7 days time mid morning. By this time I had lost complete faith in the delivery.
I were offered a full refund immediately and a little compensation for the inconvenience.
I must add that I preempted this by visiting my bank that day to inform them of the situation . My bank instructions were to accept a refund should I want one but do it in branch as they can track it.
This i put too the lady who became very irritated that I wouldn’t just pass my bank details to her.
She offered to drive to her office and open up the order and process the refund. I refused and explained it is now in the hands of my bank where I will revisit tomorrow.
The lady were very irritated by this, I think she thought I were challenging her integrity, however I were following my banks instructions.
Her final reply were .. you do what you are comfortable with.
I contacted following morning to say I will forward my bank details that morning, and asked if she can let me know when she is in the office.
Once I were in my bank and sitting beside a bank employee I contacted her again to ask if she were ready for my details.
Immediate reply were simply “ send them”
This the bank proceeded to do using their banking procedures which would protect my account should anything not happen, and they can track the refund origin to destination.
The lady did transfer the money within 5 minutes, however followed up by a message saying that this could have been actioned the previous night had I not been so awkward.
Very professional !
I sometimes wonder if business are curious to know what or who their customers are or represent.
To conclude the lady did refund as promised so I have no issues with that. However the delivery, lies and general attitude of some reply’s is not acceptable.
I will never use this company again.

My first experience of the company was positive, with the product arriving on time. I ordered more and the money has been taken months ago. Was offered a delivery date then the messages stopped. No response and having requested a refund no response. As per the reply below from the company the stools never arrived and neither did the refund. Avoid this company

I love my new bar. Thank you. It really finishes off my games room. The bar is great quality, the tiles look amazing. Can’t wait to serve many beverages to friends and family 😀

Absolutely brilliant experience with this company. My wife ordered a small bar for summers in the garden. The product arrived exactly as we’d been advised. The driver was incredibly helpful but most of all this is a lovely product. It really is a great focal point for the garden when the sun shines. I cannot speak too highly of my experience with this company. Really helpful, great comms. Entirely lived up to my expectations.

I was worried to order because it's far from where I stay but the team was very good with communication through emails ect,the delivery was very fast as well, I am over the moon with my bar was better than expected I've had so many compliments already!! Definitely will use this company in the future again and would recommend to anyone to order from here 😄

The quality of the product and customer service was great. We did have a little issue over comm’s which was found to be a system issue on email.
Great now working with WhatsApp and enabling feedback both ways.
Overall very satisfied and value for money well spent!!

When I initially contacted them to place an order, I was contacted immediately, the responses were quick and they took my money almost immediately. However, once they had received payment, messages weren’t replied to. I just wanted confirmation of my order but nobody would respond.
I asked for order to be delivered after a certain date, that date passed and I hadn’t heard anything, so once again I tried to contact them. It took days and days and many attempts at contact to get a reply and a further week to get a delivery date.
I was given the delivery date for my order, so waited in my shop until around 9pm on the day and no order arrived. Struggled again to make contact, but eventually I was told that the driver had run out of driver hours and now the delivery would be tomorrow. I wasn’t overly impressed but I needed the desk so accepted that. I was also told I would get a refund for the delivery cost. I was told delivery would be at 5pm the following day, so I waited in my shop, 5pm came and went and nothing. I eventually get a call from the driver saying he was running late, finally shows up around 9:15pm. The desk is wonky, so I’ve had to prop it up to stop it wobbling and is not overly well made in all honesty.
I have since tried to contact them as I never received my refund. Obviously those messages have been read and ignored. I then tried to comment on their Facebook page, to which it was immediately deleted and I have been blocked from the page.

I was concerned about ordering because of the odd review that put up a warning , with this in mind i messaged the company and said my concerns, Summa reassured me enough for me to place the order. I also advised them i needed the double barrel personalized bar in 2 weeks for a special occasion. i got a response immediately from Summa , she advised she had a delivery coming our way in about 10days and if i ordered that day she would prepare the order and get it to me on the date i requested. The bar has arrived on time , its amazing, heavy and good quality and personalized. I searched for a bar like this for weeks and found nothing else like it anywhere, i am over the moon with this product its a real stand out piece in my garden. I recommend this company for quality materials , and going that extra mile to ensure it got delivered on time - customer service was very responsive - very positive experience , Thank you CWC

Great product and good quality finish

Firstly the customer service was first class. Once a price was agreed they communicated everything, right until it arrived.

When the item arrived I was blown away. The Guinness barrel & stools were great quality and fitted superbly in our man cave.

Highly recommend using this lot for anything.

So lucky I found them 👍
