The appointment of Curchods was made following a review of three evaluations and bids necessary for an Executor sale. Curchods representative Laura was the most positive and engaging estate agent at the property viewing. After their appointment the team at Farnham went into overdrive to exact the sale and this was achieved with an acceptance of a buyer 28 days after appointment. In that time a first class brochure was produced and several viewings were made. They were also helpful during the exchange of contracts and completion liaising between me and the purchasers. I would highly recommend them.

I wanted to rate this higher, but the experience didn’t meet the expectations set at the start. I chose Curchods because the initial introduction was very professional, and I felt confident in their service, they were all lovely people. However, when complications arose in our chain, they were not managed well, and communication broke down to the point where all buyers were communicating directly with each other in the end to warrant the agents redundant and we questioned having to pay such a sum to them. Still am.

At the beginning, I even found myself managing the photographers on the day, directing how the photos should look and which ones to use for the listing. Throughout the process, their expertise didn’t come through, and the approach began to feel lazy. I even sold in one day without a huge amount of effort required from them.

When I raised my concerns, I was passed to a senior team member who did keep me updated, which I appreciated. But on moving day, all I received was a call to say congratulations, with nothing further or since. Overall, the service didn’t enhance the experience and wasn’t managed as well as I had expected from a company with a good reputation and when you are paying a big fee. I just don't feel you get your money worth from an agent when you are having to do the job.

I recently let my one-bed flat through Curchods Lettings in Woking, and the experience has been outstanding from start to finish.

Emma Goodman first reached out and was incredibly proactive in getting my property ready and on the market quickly. Her communication and efficiency made the initial process effortless.

After that, I dealt with Alex, the Lettings Manager, and working with him has genuinely been a dream. He kept me fully updated at every stage, was always on top of things, and his proactive approach meant he secured a tenant for me in under a week of marketing the property.

On the day of my viewing it was very hot, and after realising we'd walked from Horsley station she kindly offered us a lift back to save us a long walk back in the heat. From the moment we contacted Curchods for a valuation they stood out as the best choice for us. Rupert arrived and had a really great knowledge of what the properties in our area were selling for and gave us a realistic valuation. We agreed to have them market our property which was completed quickly meaning our house was live on the market within a week.
