CrystalPlus is Responsive and High Quality

CrystalPlus is always extremely responsive to my emails. I have placed several orders with CrystalPlus, always with a detailed engraved message. The vases and bowls I have purchased always arrive on time and with engraving exactly as I ordered.

Very poor. Very frustrated. Wrong customization without approval, and no redo or refund! Very poor.

I found and customized a beautiful set of flutes as a wedding gift for my daughter and her fiancé on June 11, but we had not finalized the wedding date. I loved the design so much, but I had to wait just a bit to finalize the wedding date before I moved forward, so when crystalplus emailed me with the proof, I responded that the date was not yet correct and I needed to make changes. They assured me I had to approve the proof before moving into production.
They continued to email me, reminding me to approve the proof, but assured me that they could not move forward with production until I approved the proof. I did not approve it because I did not yet have the correct date. I emailed back and said it was not correct and I needed to make changes. So apparently on the 30th of June, without my approval, they just decided to move forward with production and sent me the beautiful flutes with the wrong date. So I emailed and no response. So I called in and was given the run around multiple times asking to speak to a manager but not being allowed to. I obviously cannot give flutes with the incorrect wedding date as a gift to my daughter. All I asked for was a new set of flutes with the correct date. I have been told that the policy is that once production is complete they will not give refunds or redos to get the date correct. But I did not give approval. So this is pretty much ridiculous. I would not recommend using this business because they obviously do not care about following through with customers to make sure things are right before moving forward. And most important, they produced something I did not approve and explicitly said was not yet correct! And now thry insist I have to pay for it when I didn’t even approve it. Very poor. Fraudulent really. But I guess they know it’s not worth my time to sue, so what can I do. I’m just out $225. Very poor.

Thank you for sharing your concerns. We understand how disappointing this situation has been, and we would like to clarify our policies and the sequence of events of your order timeline, based on our records of communication.

When your initial order proof was emailed on 6/11, we received a response from you that simply stated: “I need to make changes.” However, this response did not specify what exact changes were required, and we received no response from you after we followed up regarding those changes. We were not informed about the details of your circumstances regarding the pending wedding date, and no hold was requested to be put on your order production.

Our team continued to reach out to you over the course of the next few weeks, including sending multiple reminder emails prompting your approval or clarification on your changes, but we received no response. As a result, our team proceeded as per our company policy, which states: “Before we send you an artwork proof, you may cancel or change your order without any charges or fees within 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, if we still have not received your proof approval or the request to put the order on hold, we will proceed to producing your order based on the last proof sent. Once the order is in production or on hold to postpone proof approval, the order cannot be cancelled or changed.”

Please note that this policy is outlined on our website before checkout, in our order confirmation email that is sent to you after checkout, on our artwork proof pages, and in our terms of service. While we do typically require approval before we move an order into production, if no response or communication is received within 14 days, we will proceed with production to ensure all orders move forward in a timely manner for proofing and manufacturing. Since these policies are clearly communicated and our team followed company procedures as outlined, we are unfortunately unable to offer you a refund or replacement.

We hope this clarifies your concerns and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. However, as a gesture of goodwill and our commitment to customer satisfaction, we would like to extend you a courtesy 10% discount on the subtotal of your flutes. Please note that since this is a personalized name brand product and our pricing includes complimentary engraving for each item for one logo and text, our flexibility on pricing adjustments is limited. Regardless, we want to show our appreciation for your business and affirm our dedication to excellent customer care.

Defective or shoddy product- buyer beware!

I purchased a heavy crystal flower vase with etching for my wife for an anniversary. Today, while drying off the vase, it literally broke apart in my hands. I took pictures of the vase and sent to crystal plus who promptly replied that it was out of warranty and not their problem. It was 3 years old, granted, but I’ve never heard of such a shoddy product that literally broke apart in my hands (at least not one made of crystal, as we have several others much older that have held up perfectly fine). I’ll need to look for a replacement, but will certainly search for another retailer who’s willing to stand behind the customer more than crystalplus did for me. If it helps anyone, the product is manufactured by RCR “Cristalleria Italiana” per the label on the vase.

We can see that you have already reached out to our Customer Service Team with your order number, concerns, and photos. Per your request, we have reached out to the vendor on your behalf regarding this issue, but unfortunately, we are unable to process a damaged/defective item claim due to the length of time that has passed since your purchase date.

Kindly note that we do not offer any type of warranty on our products/services. If there is an issue with the personalization or a damage/defect with the product, we would be happy to review your case and issue a fix or replacement as long as we are contacted within a reasonable time frame (up to 30 days). Since this vase was purchased three years ago, we are not responsible for any wear and tear that may occur with time.

Worst purchase experience & customer…

Worst purchase experience & customer service! I ordered 2 personalized crystal whiskey decanter and glass sets as business gifts, each personalized with the recipient’s name. Used the live chat while ordering to ensure that they would each be separately personalized. After numerous emails and phone calls to ensure this, they ended up shipping the 2 sets with the same name on it. Not willing to admit their fault in all of this, they made me order a 3rd set. (Although they did discount to cover the shipping.). So now I’m out over $100.00. As a business owner, I would never shirk our responsibility (and integrity) and penalize a customer for our error. (I am happy to change this review should they change their position on this.)

While we pride ourselves on our attention to detail, from time to time there may be cases of human error from our design team due to a misunderstanding or misinterpretation of our customers’ instructions.

In order to ensure that the engraving results come out as accurately as possible, we require all our customers review and approve the artwork proofs before the order is sent into production. Our artwork proof policy states it is the customer’s responsibility to double-check the proofs before approval and notify our team regarding any mistakes, changes, or revisions. If the mistake is made on our part, we will be happy to correct the error without affecting the proof’s revision allowance. Per our proof approval confirmation email, once an order is approved, however, we are not responsible for any errors regardless of the cause of the error.

While we are unable to entirely replace the duplicate decanter set, we are willing to cover the shipping for your replacement order as a courtesy.

Everything went wrong

Everything went wrong. Crystal Plus is usually very fast at providing a proof within a day. This time a week or so went by and I had to contact them about it. So because this was delayed, I had to pay extra for expedited shipping to get the gift on time. But then when I received the clock, it had spots on the face of it that would not come off, so I had to have another one sent. So I paid for the expedited shipping for nothing, because the gift was late anyway because of the defect. I asked about a reimbursement for this charge, and they said no.

All of our products are normally inspected, cleaned, and go through an intensive quality control process both before and after they are produced and shipped out—however, sometimes small details will slip through the cracks.
