Unauthorized automated payments and Poor services rendered

After trying out Hibu services for a month. Hibu tried to extend their services automatically another month. Even after I explained to them again that I have no interest in continuing. This company is continued to force a second payment. Even now they are still pursuing to force a second month of payment.

This company service is overall poor, if not fraudulent. There was no sign of proof that this company actually delivered the services that were purchased. they couldn't send me a link to my ads posted outside of there website. They claim they make videos. But all they did was put up a 30-second video from some pics online and generic music..

Finally be very careful with this company. Hibu is the mother company. They do not advertise under this name. I didnt find countless complaints similar to mines till after.

Interviewed for an inside sales position... be carful using them, they showed their sales people’s true colors

Be careful buying from them. They showed their sales teams true colors.

I Interviewed for an inside sales position at Hibu in Cedar Rapids, IA a few years ago. Left the interview shaking and in tears. The interviewer asked me questions about sales experience and I didn't have anything except selling ad space for the year book in high school. They asked me questions about that and the friend I went business to business selling with and my morals ie. Would you throw that friends under the bus or take something away from them just to get ahead of them in sales type questions. Basically all along those lines and I answered no, I wouldn't purposely hurt anyone and believe in teamwork to achieve goals. Wrong answer. They said they needed someone with that drive to get ahead and do anything to come up on top.

Ok. Guess my morals were to good to work there in hard sales. They wanted more cut throat willing to do anything to make a buck for themselves type people. They could have just ended the interview there but they wanted to prove a point to me.

The end of the interview they asked me if I had any kids and I answered I had a 2 year old boy. Then they asked if he's gravitated to anything and I answered he loves to play with balls .

They went into a speech about how people are predisposed to do certain things and since my toddler is obsessed with balls he will be good at sports and not the arts and tied that to how im not predisposed to work there after years of bartending and cahsiering, I'm a customer service person. Apparently what you like when youre as young as 2 and what you choose to do for your first jobs after graduating decide your whole future and you cant change.

What they didn't know was a couple weeks before that my son was diagnosed with Marfan Syndrome. He will never be able to play sports or even catch with other kids because getting hit in the chest can cause an Aortic Aneurysm. He will never be able to run the way kids in sports do because it would collapse a lung. He will never never able to play a wind instrument due the risk of collapsing a lung. He can't even drink caffeinated drinks or high sodium items because it could cause an anuerysm or other heart complications. His lenses in his eyes are detached and when he's older he will need surgery to replace them and may even need a heart transplant by his teens.

Asking me about kids before ending the job interview then telling me because my 2 year old likes to roll balls his future is already set and that's what he's predisposed to do and won't have what it takes to do anything else with his life was completely inappropriate...even if they didn't know about his condition that would literally kill him if he did what they say he's meant to do... was so inappropriate. I saw red and was shaking.

They ended that speech by saying "at least you know leaving here your not cut out for this and don't have to waste time waiting for a call from us" with a polite smile like they actually helped me by doing that. I'd have rather just been flat out told I'm not a good fit or hell even just sent on my way and not called.

The only reason to do that was to get off on knocking my low class retail self down a peg and prove/brag about what (cut throat) born to sell people their sales team was.

To this day I still preach against that company and see red every time. If that's how they act in an interview and openly admit to looking for slimy people that will hurt others to get commissions imagine what they are willing to do to customers.

I did go on to get my insurance license and other sales positions and put my resume online and I still get indeed messages saying they are impressed with my sales resume and I'd be a good fit and that they'd like to bring me in for an interview so apparently they don't remember green to the scene me trying to get my first sales job or pay attention to who they send generic messages to, but I sure remember them like it was yesterday.

The WORST. Don't do it. You WILL regret working with them.

I purchased display advertising and reviews management from Hibu, and within a month, I realized that what I was promised was not at all what was delivered (I have confirmation of this in emails). They used stock photos that were not even relevant to my business - without my permission - and repeatedly fumbled everything. Things I was supposed to have approval over were never presented for my approval (I also have them admitting this in emails).

Many employees were rude, most were clueless. I finally got it all cancelled, and luckily I got that confirmation in writing in an email also. Now, 10 months later, they charged my card again! When I called to get it straightened out, the man on the phone started yelling at me (then saying "I'm not raising my voice at you" while getting progressively louder).

And guess what? Once I forwarded my emails from last year to every person I could find in the company, it was, in fact, supposed to have been cancelled. I got zero customers from this, spent a lot of money for the time it was in place, and am still getting crap from them all this time later? No thanks.

Don't Sign before reading their glutenous contract language!

Be sure to read your contract before signing. I called up three days before my next billing cycle to cancel a simple contract with all obligations met. I come to find out, the contract cancellation language (one needs to go into their website to find the link) stated I had to give notice 15 days before my next billing cycle or I would be charged in full for the next billing cycle! I no longer needed their services but I was stuck paying for another full billing cycle plus 3 days! There was nothing they would do to help me out. I offered to pay the prorate for a fifteen day cancellation period and they refused to budge. After giving them $27,000 in business, one would think they would be a tad more understanding but thanks to their attorneys and the contract writing, they took us for extra $1280 and had to do nothing for it.

I have been with Hibu for a year and thrilled with their service

I have been with Hibu for a year, it was the first time I had someone else build my website and they were very gentle with me! They listened to my input, gave me directions how to change up what I wanted changed up, were always available on the phone to talk me thru it and understanding when I was learning. My rep Leslie Exner has always been right there for me, answering questions, getting the answers I wanted and fast to respond! Definitely a 5 star experience!

Muddy Mess to Perfection with No Stress

The title pertains to two aspects. The amount of help I needed going into my appointment AND how much help I received from Tyler at HIBU. I kept him on the phone for a very long time because I was looking to revamp our whole website. Colors, information, bug fixes, and lots more. He did everything I could have wanted and more. Our website was not a good site to look at until today. We inherited it from the former owner and never liked the way it looked and also it had lots of misinformation. I needed to get s lot of changes done and thanks to Tyler everything is correct and beautiful. Like a brand new website. THANK YOU.

Signed up with hibu for a 6 month…

Signed up with hibu for a 6 month contract to run a google ad campaign.In my original call with the sales rep we discussed what budget was needed to be seen at 100% which was around 2,000 a month
And I asked what a $600 dollar budget a month would get us he continued to assure me that that budget in 5 local towns near me would be showing for 60 percent the time at 600 a month
So I went with that package for remodeling and roofing google campaign. I went thru the first three months with minimal calls but most was wrong calls or other marketing companies clicking on my website I must have talked to matt Huran for a total of 8-10 hours on the phone for the 6 months I used them but back the details
I called every two weeks to stress that the quality of leads was junk we had spent by now close to 1800 on the campaign with a 0 return on investment
So we decided to stop the remodeling add and use the budget to be more towards roofing leads only and I upped the budget the last three months instead of $600 a month to $1200 a month we got clicks to the campaign but with a conversion to call rate of less that 10 % of the time and then as I stated the calls that was t ok’ing in was wrong numbers or not good leads
I spent a total of around $5,000 in marketing dollars with them with landing only 1 job out of maybe 5 good leads for the 6 month time we was with them
And that 1 job was a repair for $500 dollars with a profit of only $100 dollars but needless to say we never got a return on investment with this company I was disappointed that when I was in time of need for my phone to ring during the slow season the results was alarmingly dismal at best
For the fact that over 6 months I invested with hibu there was 0 dollars on return
I did not have a problem getting in thought with my salesman and Matt was very helpful in trying to see what could be done with moving to upper tier reps to look into the problem but ultimately you can have a great salesman but not produce for the client it’s a bad investment

Dishonest

Dishonest! Our companies sales rep disappeared for starters and would not return emails or calls. Several requests to speak with a manager to resolve but would end up routed back to Mike. We paid our contract in full only to find out Hibu would not let us have our website. We asked why and that’s where Mike said it’s on page 132, or something like that, in the contract. Then he said nobody reads it, no kidding. I asked for our initial recorded calls that we agreed to. Not anywhere in any initial sales intake were we informed that we were renting and not purchasing. SHADY INTENTIONALLY! Many calls with management later and we were robbed.
We just got a much better deal from Godaddy and we get to keep our content. Considering we wrote it all anyway. We wrote it, paid for it but don’t get to keep it at Hibu.

Do your research! This is the old way of website building business. Proprietary and dishonest...

hibu has helped boost my customer base on the internet since phone books are no longer and technology is on the rise. Hibu has helped my business to grow and gain more customers.

Hibu was great to work with in building…

Hibu was great to work with in building my new website. They were easy to get a hold of. The best thing was the customer service. They actually answer their own phones. That's hard to find these days. Iwill stay with them for rest of my business life.

Great Service & Attention to Detail

I used to be a client of yours a number of years back, but I listened to other people and cancelled with you.
Last year, I called Allan Segal, who was my previous rep, and we signed back up with your company.
You guys put together a great program, new website, google adwords, facebook ads and more!
We should've never cancelled with you in the first place.
The attention to detail to my account is like no other.
If I need a change on my website, it is done within a matter of minutes.
If I need a post on my FB page, it is done.
Allan has been responsive to our needs and has helped us recapture our online visibility.

Promises Kept

Smoothest advertising transaction, follow-up and implementation I have ever been involved with. If this brings in the customers I believe this campaign will, this company, Lynda & Sophia is obviously the right choice for any business looking to grow their customer base.

Dear Hibu,

I can't tell you how much I've appreciated Brenna Ray and Jennifer Calhoun over the last couple of months.
Brenna came to a dog training class with Marvin Pierce Dog Teaching, LLC, a few months ago, and we struck up a conversation about our business. She introduced us to Hibu and your offerings. We decided to give it a try; we needed marketing assistance, moving our business to the next level. Brenna was able to put our concerns to bed as they came up and give us high confidence in the product and process. Every turn, she has been there via phone, text, email, and in-person training (some times daily).

Jennifer Calhoun, where to start my journey with Jennifer, began as a 4 hour (I think) phone conversation with Brenna in my dining room. We went over EVERY aspect of the website that was being built. From what I gathered, these conversations are usually around 2 hours, but we went over every detail in full and had fun doing it! Since this time, Jennifer has checked in with me several times, walking me through additional training and doing everything to optimize our website. Even today, we spent two hours training and working on how to better our page.
The time and effort put in by both of these ladies have been above and beond my expectations, and I much appreciate all the time they take empowering me to be able to edit and update my site sometimes daily.

If I were to have a disappointment, its that Jennifer won't be my permanent goto. I am in the business of making personal connections and like to live my life much the same way I have enjoyed every conversation and learned so much along the way.

In closing, I want to send a huge thank you and a massive shoutout to my girls Brenna and Jennifer.

I have the best Media…

I have the best Media consultant/advisor-T'yanna. I had told her that we were a small business and needed more clients. She listened to me and never once did i feel as if she was being forceful or inattentive to my needs. She calmly explained what would be necessary for our business growth. I went ahead and took her advice. Business is slowly trekking in but i have to do more to boost my business. Hibu is a LEADER in its class. Don't hesitate. In order to make money, one has to spend it. I am happy we did!

The worst web sight ever!!

The worst web sight ever!!! Tried for 2 to 3 years to get what I was paying for. Salesperson would say I will re do this for you!! I will get it fixed Bla Bla Bla I could not so much as get a picture changed. Then I paid someone else for a new Web page that is amazing. Canceled with Hibu. My contract was up and I was free to cancel. I was told on the phone it was canceled. They kept taking the money out of my credit card for 4 more months after several calls and emails I finally had to cancel the card and call the credit card company and tell them to not allow any more charges. I have had the worst experience of my life with this company and no one cares. I canceled in Sept 2019 and in Jan 2020 I still have not received my refunds.

DON'T MAKE MY MISTAKE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was looking for someone to build a website and handle reviews for Google and Facebook through my website as I have done in my UK businesses. So I reached out to Hibu in the US the sales person was great and tech team worked hard to get the website reviews to post to google but to no luck. I was told at the start it would work but the reviews only go through Hibu not Google, as everyone was so nice I didn't fuss I paid the 900+ per month with the understanding I was done with this at the end of my 6 months. So in the 1st week of November I called to cancel the service as I was told to do 30 days before the end. I though it was done I paid my December bill .
Now in Jan 2020 I get another bill why you ask because I needed to call in December as well to cancel . I tried to use common sense with Kris Geho

But to no luck the words and I quote" did you get it in writing about the reviews through Google " No I thought while I was on the phone with the support team showing what I wanted on my other sites that would be good enough as the words YES WE CAN DO THAT was all I needed .
The thing is if you can't trust the people you are doing business with you shouldn't do business with them so learn from my mistake . Please keep shopping for a Google partner because Hibu is not it.
