UK Window and Door Installers 

After being messed about for yet another month and being told over the phone that my door that was meant to be installed by Friday 13th March as the ‘latest date’ which was then further delayed as the fitter was supposedly ill to then be asked about further measurements suggesting the door wasn’t even manufactured yet, I knew enough is enough, TPD and more specifically Craig have prolonged this for far too long leaving me with no other choice other than choosing another door provider, after informing Craig about my decision he started blaming other customers not paying and his debt as a reason for why my door hasn’t been manufactured also using foul language during the phone call after previously promising excellent customer service. Not sure which part of this was the ‘excellent customer service’ but it’s definitely not what I have received. I have decided to now take legal proceedings issuing a notice for the small claims court. It’s also clear TPD incentivises customers to remove or change negative reviews by their orders magically appearing and being installed but this has certainly not been the situation that I’ve experienced as all I was told was that if the negative review is removed the door would be installed within the next 3 weeks (a promise I’ve been told numerous times). Beware of this company, its staff and certainly from ordering from them. Never again!

I recently purchased a front door from Trade Prices Direct back in January, and now that it has been installed, I can honestly say I’m very happy with the whole experience.

Craig Gilbert Prince, the owner, was extremely helpful throughout the process and gave me a very good price for the door. He made everything straightforward and easy, which I really appreciated.

The installation team were also excellent very professional, helpful, and precise in their work. They paid great attention to detail and made sure everything was done to a high standard.

Overall, I’m really pleased with the service and quality provided by the company. I would definitely use Trade Prices Direct again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others.😊

Just had 11 windows and 4 doors fitted. I cannot praise the fitters enough ! Danny worked so hard and he is a true perfectionist. I can't stop admiring my house. It is has been transformed . The finish inside and out is top class. I will be using the Company again for my Mothers house. Im just hoping I get Danny again.

Declan and Lee were absolutely amazing. They fitted my windows and door quickly, efficiently, and to an extremely high standard. My wife and I are very happy with the quality of the windows and the installation. We both would highly recommend TPD and Declan/Lee, they are very worthy of a five-star review.

That’ been my first experience with TPD. I found website on facebook, first chat tell me how is look likes. We are replacing five windows. I so much love my windows looks really pretty. From the very beginning and the end we had a couple surprises but with the help company , quickly good communication, really helpful team we are getting job done Biggest Thank you for Darren which done finally job. Thank you for Jack and Steve to be all the time on the contract. I love my windows.

My experience with this company has been unsatisfactory. If asked whether I would recommend them, I would advise against using them.

From attendance through to installation, not all windows and doors were supplied. The rear door supplied was the incorrect size and was still fixed in place. As a result, we had no rear door for the entire Christmas period.

When I called the sales representative, Jack, I was told, “Well, that’s not too bad.” I lost it at that point.

I then posted a review and later received a call from co-owner Craig Gilbert-Prince, who apologised and advised that he would personally manage the next steps. He asked whether I would remove the review. I agreed and requested compensation in the form of installing fascia boards (supplied by me), which he agreed to.

Relying on this commitment, I proceeded. A new appointment was scheduled, and I was advised that all parts were at the Oxford depot. The day before the installation, some windows were delivered and stored at the front of my house. On the day of the installation, one fitter arrived to install a front door, rear door, window, medium bedroom window, and the fascia boards. His first comment on arrival was, “Good morning, I don’t see the doors.” After speaking with him, it became clear he had not been informed about the fascia boards. He also advised that his van had broken down in my driveway.

We contacted Trade Price representative Jack and were advised that the doors were still in Oxford and would be delivered that day. We were also advised that the fitter would return on Sunday to complete the installation. Regarding the fascia boards, we were advised that they would contact a local contractor to complete the work.

On Sunday morning at 7.00 am, a contractor attended to inspect the fascia boards and advised that he would send Trade Price Direct a quote. I requested to be copied into the email, which he did. The quoted price was expensive.

The fitter completed most, but not all, of the work, which required an additional day on site. Once this was completed, only minor issues remained, which the final fitter rectified.

Overall, what should have been a two-day job took several weeks to complete. Seven different tradespeople attended, and multiple follow-up phone calls were required. This concluded the window installation.

The compensation component then became an issue. Despite Craig’s promise that he would manage everything, he did not follow through. He has since gone back on his agreement to install the fascia boards and suggested that our expectations were unreasonable. I obtained another quote for the works, which was significantly cheaper than the contractor Trade Price Direct arranged, so I do not consider my expectations unreasonable. However, they are still refusing to carry out the works. In my view, Craig Gilbert-Prince has not honored his word, and I would advise against dealing with him.

I ordered a new front door in January with Trade Prices Direct, I chose this company to fit in around my job as everything was online which benefitted me as I didn't have to wait in for a sales man not to turn up like other companies I had attempted to get quotes from had done. The sales team were great and really helpful in achieving the design I wanted as I can be quite fussy. I then got moved to the ordering team who were again really helpful and communicated with me clearly throughout even when some hiccups happened along the way, like slight delays due to weather and them recently going nationwide I always felt supported with the staff I spoke to. It's now been a week since my installation took place and I could not be happier with my end product, all the staff were brilliant with me and the fit teams couldn't of been more professional and I'm now satisfied with a beautiful new front door which so many people have given compliments to me on since, who I have happily recommended the company to. Will definitely be back in the future when I'm in a position to replace my windows. 5 star service from start to finish!

It's taken me a long time to get to writing this review. I was honestly hoping for a better outcome.

But after ordering in November and paying a 50% deposit on the promise of December or January installation, now in March I am not confident my windows are every arriving.

I have repeatedly been told 'there are manufacturing delays' or 'it will be done in two weeks', even once 'the windows are in a truck on the way to our warehouse'. But now I have contacted the manufacturer directly and been told that my order is 'in quotation stage' - i.e. has never been placed. I have been patient and reasonable, sending chasers and accepting the replies I was given, but enough is enough.

I would avoid using TPD at all costs.

I can't believe I've been so gullible. I paid £99 for pre-installation measuring, then over £800 for half the cost of the two replacement windows which the installer said would be done in two weeks. That was on 27th December 2025 and it's now 11th March 2026. I contacted them three times last week because I want to cancel my contract and expect to have my money refunded. No-one is replying to my messages. I have contacted Citizens Advice and Trading Standards about Trade Prices Direct. Please do not give this company any money until the job is done. I went against every piece of advice I've ever been given and handed over money before seeing any work done, because i was intimidated by them. This company benefits from manipulating vulnerable people. Protect your friends and relations and advise against using Trade Prices Direct. Contacting the media looks like the only way to make people aware of this unscrupulous business that won't reply to my emails but then the owner left a rude, condescending message on my phone after I left this review.

I have had the most terrible experience with this company, repeated delays, promises of delivery dates, months and months of delays, outright lies being told about my order. I no longer believe that installation will happen.

I have seen many more negative reviews which all seem to all disappear within an hour of being posted. I am baffled by how there are positive reviews at all.

Positing this purely to help other people avoid getting into the same situation I have. These people will no doubt get this review removed or make up lies in their response. I have never posted a review before but feel the need to warn about my experience.

this has been the worst customer service i've ever received, we placed a order for back patio doors on 7th July 2025 and were told they would take 6 weeks, the doors finally turned up 14th October 2025 after many excuses they had to be remade twice as the first time they were made to the wrong specification and the second time they were damaged. the day of installation one man turned up to fit them. when he started fitting them he realised that he didn't have all the parts so my builder had to do a 60 mile round trip to go and get extra stuff, the installer then realised that he couldn't fit them how they should be and promised to come back 3 days later, we heard nothing from them and after many phone calls somebody else finally came out in November and he couldn't complete them either as they had been so badly installed from the first guy and still had lots of parts missing for completion, we had one further visit from them in December from different installer who spoke to somebody at the company whist we were present and said they need to come out and be re installed as it had been done so badly in the first case. the windows frame was damaged when the arrived which we were promised would be rectified. we were promised that this would all be sorted out with 3 weeks. we are now in the middle of march and nothing has been done, we have been lied to from start to finish by craig and his team, we have had every excuse under the sun given to us, we were promised 3 different fitter within a 2 week period and not one of them turned up. the communication from this company is absolutely disgusting, Jack has not returned a single call since November, after many phone calls to craig the CEO and founder of Tpd and threats to take legal action against the company he finally gave us a date of 7th March for all works to be completed, to which i requested a confirmation email confirming this and also the compensation amount he was willing to give as promised, after 3 weeks of chasing him for this email nothing was received and once again no installers turned up on the day to complete the job.. its now been 8 months since the order was placed and all we have is doors that are not fit for purpose which still actually have packing wedges Under the frame supporting them as the fitting was so bad

For your own sanity please avoid the company as they have left us no other option now other than to report them to the governing bodies and take legal action against them

I’m happy with the team, from Jack to Darren, and all involved. Windows and door have been installed nicely and quickly. So far I have not seen any problems. The team was professional and committed to getting the job done properly. I would recommend!

I haven’t received my windows and doors yet, but I wanted to leave a review based on my experience so far.

The range of products available is excellent, with plenty of choice, and the pricing is very competitive compared to others I looked at.

Lottie in particular has been fantastic — a real ambassador for the business. She has kept me fully informed throughout, regularly updating me on how my order is progressing and responding quickly to any queries. It’s been reassuring to have that level of communication and customer service.

So far, I’m very impressed and looking forward to receiving the products.

Fitting new windows and doors on my 1895 house brought many challenges as it's a wonky old stone house but the fitters were fabulous, not phased by having to move scaffolding and cut plasterboard out of their way and dealt with everything easily with professionalism and humour. Despite delays due to manufacturing issues they still managed to get everything sorted quickly and efficiently, happily driving far and wide to get the right pieces for the job.

From start to finish totally transparency (little windows joke there), no pressure sales, fantastic levels of communicated and on time as promised. Thanks to Joe and Josh today for the fitting, fantastic job, very happy

Excellent process from start to finish. Harry was great (sales), Jack (Installation manager) and Jamie (installer), great communication, happy with the quality and price of everything, Top notch service and windows.

This company is unique in the window business. Easy to deal with no sales people wanting to spend hours in your home to force a sale, We had the whole house done including new Front and French doors we had a slight hickup but the measure of TPD was the way Craig and his team dealt with it. The two fitters Joe and Josh where amazing.. Punctual, Professional excellent communication and their attention to detail was First class after doing a full day they left the job clean, tidy and prepped for the next day. Thanks again TPD Craig and the team and Fitters Joe and Josh for a job well done.
