I’ve recently completed the Connectd Board Advisor Academy and have had a really positive experience. I’ve found the whole process incredibly easy and well supported, from the initial conversations and onboarding, through the coursework and mentoring, to now being matched with my first placement. The programme has helped me think differently about how my executive experience can translate into advisory work and given me much more confidence about taking the next step. I’d highly recommend Connectd to anyone looking to explore board advisory work.

Connectd is a unique community: start-ups and entrepreneurs looking for advice and investment, alongside experienced people looking for opportunities to support new businesses. As a manager who spent 46 years "hands-on" in the Semiconductor industry, learning the role of a Board Advisor or Non-Executive Director was a major transition. Connectd gave my transition structure: Training>Mentoring>Placements and the chance to figure out how I could fit into this new world. The events and networking opportunties are vitally important, and are all part of this transition experience. I'm now an advisor to an exciting AI company - the new "lease of life" that I really wanted. Thanks very much to Connectd for making this possible.

Found my adviser quickly and he's really helped shape my brands messaging!

They sent me three inappropriate people as possibilities, one of whom was still actually in college per the person's own CV and LInkedIN profile which Connectd denied to me twice. Regardless I had more actual work experience than who they offered. I asked to be removed from their mailing list and then confirmed I was in writing. Yet I am still getting emails offering me money to refer to them which feels like a scam considering I never successfully used them. I would be leery of the positive reviews here and anyone sending you a link to this company when they are being paid to do the latter and might never have actually used them or had a good experience with them.

Absolutely terrible company. Selling NED course calling regularly pushing the Sale. Then no after sale service only contacting via emails with unclear subjects no follow. They are looking for NED's as a highly experienced professional having worked for some of the most internationally know brands I wouldn't even entertain anything from them I have found repeated reports about this company in their NED services space. I requested a refund with very justified reasons and they refused. I will now share my experience with all of my previous and future clients. Their ethic are unethical.

I scheduled a call with them after they reached out to me on LinkedIn.

I was no showed. Definitely scammy vibes.

Edit: The individual I was supposed to meet with reached out with a half a**** apology that they were traveling. I get things happen, but to not reach out and let me know is unbelievably disrespectful.

I would NEVER do business with an organization that operates like this.

Connectd pairs founders with mentors experienced in relevant industries. It's a useful service that I recommend to colleagues.

Feels like I was Scammed.

I signed up for the board advisor path under the assumption they had "loads" of start ups in the US in my industry and only after completing their extremely basic course could I look at the actual placements they had. I was shocked at how few total they had in the US (under 20 total) and virtually nothing in healthcare, health tech or insurance-tech. I asked multiple times for a refund for the 9 months I will obviously not be using this completely misrepresented service but, just got responses that said I just have to wait for new roles to be added..... Save your time and money- I just found many more accurate reviews reviews on Google Maps "loads of them"
