Engaging students to see value in their learning is essential. This course can be used with any curriculum. It is not a curriculum but a method of engaging students in the curriculum.

Review of Math Intervention Accelerator
I am an experience teacher with great classroom management, ability to push kids to high levels. However this year, I have been asked to take on a sheltered class that will be composed of high achieving SPED kids and under achieving Gen Ed students. I have been super nervous about how I would attack the curriculum that gave the kids grade level mathematics while filling in the holes as they go. I love all the strategies and the material given. I can't wait to implement this program this year. Super excited.

My experience was overwhelmingly great! There were so many presentations to choose from and wonderful take aways to use this school year.

Useful and timely advice. Well presented tips to bring into any math classroom. This resonated with me so much, that I went to grab a book to continue learning more.

I participated in the Math Intervention Master Class in May and was intrigued and excited about learning effective methods to improve student participation and engagement. As we were at the end of the school year, there was not money in the budget for my school to pay for the Accelerator, but I went ahead and signed up on my own and am so glad I did! Juliana does a tremendous job of explaining not only the WHY but also the HOW to implement so many different tools to advance student engagement and participation. I can't wait to get started with my students when the new school year begins!

This has been an amazing experience. I have learned more in this online 7 hour course then I did with my masters degree. No kidding! This is a lot more hands on and REAL, then just theories and papers. I highly recommend this for anyone teaching math at any level.

The information shared in the Accelerator course is actionable and backed by research and experience. The materials provided are high-quality and useful for immediate use in the classroom. If you are struggling with student engagement and student apathy, I highly recommend this course.

I'm attending the virtual summer math summit, and I'm so glad that I found Juliana's session on using explicit instruction to engage students who struggle. Those are my students. Sometimes I was nodding, she was saying things I'd already figured out on my own. I appreciated the affirmation. I had the "ah-ha" sensation as she explained the "why" behind cold calling. I appreciate Juliana sharing the books she has found valuable as she has developed her methods. The notes I took during her session look like a blizzard, as they are full of asterisks marking information that got me *excited*!

Great ideas. I like the random cold calling strategy. I signed up for the free mini workshop to learn more. Considering getting your book also.

Math Wars looks like a well planned program to create a thinking classroom and engage all students.
Being virtual was helpful and the content was clearly and concisely done step by step. Thank you for the templates and slides as that helps me to remember better and provides extra support. I am looking forward to implementing this in my Sixth Grade Class this fall.

I actually learned something that was applicable to my classes. I am going to try and use this in the fall. I know with my three lower classes it should help a lot... but I am also going to use a version of this in my higher classes as well.

This was a very informative and engaging course. Juliana was a fabulous presenter with a positive and comforting style. I came away with new information and ready to make a confident change in teaching style.

My review title is exactly what I told my students the first day I started to implement the strategies I learned from these workshops. My students are excited for our new changes, their confidence level is already growing, and it has rejuvenated me as a teacher.

This is a good way to do explicit instruction and get timely feedback before students get too far into a concept. This method also supports cooperative learning to ensure that no student is left out of the conversation. It can be used as a stand-alone instruction for pre-requisite/intervention purposes. Juliana Tapper really is here for teachers; she answered questions and provided alternatives for different situations. The Math Wars method can be modified to fit nearly every classroom situation and size. I am excited to implementing it in my classroom!

I was able to learn how to implement changes to my math grading so that I change to using a rubric system. This way students won't be trying to dig themselves out of a deficit with poor homework or quiz grades.

The math wars method has made a tremendous difference in engagement and success of the students at my school. The workshop was a great blessing, clearly outlined, and full of great resources to hit the ground running. Thank you so much, Juliana, for all your help.
