Sold as unlimited, rate limited within days to 1/hour (if I am lucky).

Sold as unlimited, throttled in practice — read the docs before you pay

I subscribed to CodeRabbit Pro, in June 26 for PR reviews on my own repos. The plan was marketed as unlimited PR reviews — third-party pricing writeups still describe Pro exactly that way "Unlimited PR reviews across all repositories").

What you actually get today, per CodeRabbit's own documentation a hard cap of 5 PR reviews per hour on Pro (10 on Pro+), PLUS a "Fair Usage Limits Policy" that further slows you down if you're above the "95th percentile" of recent usage — while the same page claims "your plan allowance is not changed." There is no meter showing where you stand against the percentile throttle.

And the gap between what was sold and what's delivered is now a product: a usage-based add-on at $0.25 per reviewed file once you hit the limits they added, rolled out per their changelog in March–April 2026.

My own experience: because I was hitting it hard over the weekend, doing about three PR/hour for several days, they decided to rate limit me to one per hour. That crashes my dev cycle and stops me in the water, now I have to wait an hour between each review. That is not what I am paying for nor what was expected. They hide behind obscure, impossible to find TOS to justify - and hide even further behind a crooked, unethical binding arbitration agreement.

I'm not the only one. The company's own subreddit is full of paying customers reporting the same pattern — a Pro user rate-limited after 1 review who bought $40 in overage credits that went unused while the throttling continued , a user reporting an $80 overage charge with auto-reload turned OFF, and Pro+ users measuring roughly 10 reviews per DAY on a plan documented as 10 per hour (same thread).

When the advertised terms, the documented terms, and the delivered service are three different things, that's not a pricing model — it's a moving target you pay to chase. I cancelled. Verify everything against their hidden plans before you hand over a card number.

The bottom line: don't do it. They are greedy little AI "get rich quick" kids with no appetite for support or for delivering the product they promised. It is a dead end company.

Be very careful .. cancellations don't stick and refunds don't happen

We cancelled our CodeRabbit subscription and received 100% confirmation from their team that the cancellation was processed. On the renewal date, we were charged anyway.

Here is the timeline since:

• 19 Apr — Opened a support ticket disputing the charge and asking for a refund. CodeRabbit replied saying they had received the request.
• 21 Apr — Followed up. No response.
• 23 Apr — Followed up again, twice. Still no response.

So either their cancellation flow doesn't actually cancel anything, or it does and someone is choosing not to refund it. Either way, once they have your card, getting a reply is apparently optional. We are now at the point of disputing the charge with our bank.

If you are evaluating CodeRabbit, please take seriously that the exit door may not work and that support will stop responding the moment the money is theirs. Look at other reviews on here with the same complaint — this is a pattern, not a one-off.

Get ready for ZERO Support if something goes wrong (which it went)

We could not even use the service for one single day.

Someone for support told us that our company account went into some strange status and we were getting all the time a "Organisation Not found" when trying to include team members. No further feedback ever. No change at all on our account.

After 2 weeks of paying for absolutely nothing we decided to cancel to never com back to this.

One of the worst customer experiences ever in my 25 years of professional IT career. And I've been keen to be an early adopter since ever.

Massive scamming

Massive scamming! They charge you without accepting new charges. Support is awful. They don't care at all about you, they just want to keep your money and not bother helping you. Also when you delete your account nothing is being deleted!

Just a heads up if you're thinking about trying Coderabbit.ai

They advertise a $30/month plan pretty prominently, but what they don’t make clear is that as soon as you add more collaborators to your repo, they’ll start charging $30 per person—automatically. I found out the hard way and ended up with a $150 charge. Even though I caught it within the hour, they refused to refund it.

On top of that, the actual code review feature was really underwhelming. Most of the time, it either gave no feedback at all or made suggestions that were completely irrelevant or unhelpful. It felt more like a gimmick than a genuinely useful tool.

Just be careful—read the fine print and don’t expect much from the AI reviews.

Be aware

Be aware, they will display $30 monthly in very big but at the moment you add more people to your repo, they will charge $30 per head, even if you notice this the next hour, they will NOT refund you whatsoever. I got charged $150 because of this.

Also, their code review is honestly terrible 99.9% of the time and a gimmick more than anything else, often not recommending anything or recommending useless things out of context.
