I really wanted to like this company but …
I really wanted to like this company, but the experience has been frustrating and inconsistent.
The subscription model sounds simple, but in practice it’s quite inflexible. You’re required to return cylinders on a fixed schedule, even if they’re not empty, which means you can end up paying for gas you haven’t used. With no way of knowing exactly how much is left in a cylinder, this feels unfair from a consumer point of view.
Communication has also been confusing. I was initially told that non-CO2 YOU cylinders could be returned and credited, but later told this wasn’t the case. That kind of inconsistency makes it difficult to trust what you’re being told. It turns out the process wasn’t explained clearly.
On top of that, resolving issues can be difficult. Much of the communication feels automated, and it took several attempts before I was able to speak to someone who could actually understand and resolve the situation.
To be fair, once I did reach a human, they were helpful and did resolve my issue, but it shouldn’t take that much effort to get there.
Overall, the service feels more structured around the company’s processes than the customer’s needs. With a bit more flexibility and clearer, consistent communication, it could be a much better experience.
I mean this constructively because it could be such a good model.

After reading all of your feedback, it sounds like the subscription service could still be right for you, just with some changes going forward. In regards to the number of cylinders used, we understand you may not always be able to pre-empt how much you need so we offer a 2 and 4 cylinder subscription so customers can adjust according to their consumption. As a circular cylinder economy, we do have a set rental period to ensure cylinders can continue to be refilled and reused, however we try to offer some flexibility where possible to accommodate customers needs. This means you can always guarantee your next subscription delivery will be delivered to your doorstep on time!
We also want to apologise for the inconsistency of communication around non-CO2 YOU cylinders, our process recently changed and some of our customers have been affected by this. To provide some clarity, we're no longer accepting cylinders from other businesses. These must be returned or exchanged with the original supplier or taken to a local recycling centre.
We want to ensure our processes and communication are as streamlined as possible, and we've taken your feedback on board to ensure going forward it's more clear. This company are threatening and immoral…
This company took money from my account automatically for cannisters I didn't want. They insist on sending them and made me pay to pause them. Then when I finally cancelled they gave me 5 days to get a lot of heavy full canisters back to them under threat of taking action on us holding their property. Offered no refund. Threatening policies served with a passive aggressive smile. Horrible horrible company. Don't go near

We offer a free return service with DPD so customers have the flexibility to make their returns at a time that's convenient for them, but we understand in this instance that was made difficult by returning full, heavier cylinders instead of empties.

Really great service from CO2 You! Cylinder delivery is really convenient, and the price is very reasonable. It saves me carrying heavy cylinders to the shop for exchange. The customer service is really excellent, too! Friendly, quick and efficient. I have recommended CO2 You to many friends.

Easy to order. Easy to contact and communicate with a human ( rather than online).
Bottles of gas last a lot longer than the competitors product which I used to order and it’s easy as CO2 YOU collect the old canisters and re deliver full gas canisters. Thank you to the team at CO2 YOU 👏👏👏

Been on the recurring plan for over a year now and it’s brilliant. I’ll be honest.
At first I was a bit nervous the quality wouldn’t match the ones that come with the machine, but I’ve had absolutely no problems at all. Great product, easy process, always delivered on time, and the notifications keep you in the loop. Haven’t tried the machine yet but that’s probably my next step. Highly recommend.

Awful customer service & hidden fees
After extending out my subscription as I had a full bottle & a half yet to use via the WhatsApp service, the AI bot transferred me to an agent. The agent sent me an incredibly passive aggressive message quoting the date I took out the rental - used monkey emojis to try to make some sort of point that I don’t get what the service is….they went on to tell me I had to pay a additional fee to keep the product o have yet to use for a longer period. It was my first experience ordering so I may have over estimated what I needed. However I cannot believe this is the way in which this company speaks to its customers. It’s so unprofessional. Would not recommend.
