Every member of our close-knit team works with dedication and commitment and we treat every call and every visit with respect and compassion. We always have the time to talk to you and will always do everything we can to support you and your pet at a time when you need us most. We work to support and help you when you need us, but we are not an emergency vet and we do not have limitless appointment times. But even in an emergency we will do all we can to help you. An emergency tends to be a crisis and our ethos is to plan a calm and respectful goodbye. Our caring team works passionately to help pet families that are facing "end of life situations" for their beloved pet companions. We provide unhurried pet euthanasia services in the secure and loving environment of your own home. We really do understand that it may be difficult to make that first call, so, our Care Coordinators are available for you to speak to, 7 days a week, from 7am to 8pm Monday to Friday and between 8am to 5pm at weekends and when you pick up the phone, we will treat your call with kindness and understanding. All Cloud 9 Vets fees are always explained and agreed in advance of booking an appointment. The Cloud 9 Way, we do our utmost to provide empathy, compassion and respect in everything we do.

At a very difficult and emotional time…
At a very difficult and emotional time staff from Cloud 9 were exceptionally kind, supportive and very caring. Debbie helped me by explaining the arrangements and organised the procedure fully. Sally the vet visited and explained what would happen and supported me throughout. Holywell pet cemetery collected my 15 year old beautiful lab named Zac and l collected Zac’s ashes the following day.
I would 100% recommend this service for their care and understanding during this traumatic time.

A truly exceptional service
I cannot recommend Cloud 9 Vets highly enough.
When the time came to say goodbye to our beautiful Bracken, having the option for him to be at home, surrounded by the people who loved him, meant everything to us.
From my very first contact with Lara, Cloud 9 Vets were kind, understanding and incredibly compassionate. That care continued when Zoi came to our home and guided us through one of the hardest moments we have ever had to face.
Zoi was everything we could have hoped for — reassuring, professional, gentle and caring. She took the time to explain everything clearly, never rushed us, and treated Bracken with such kindness and dignity. Most importantly, she gave us the space and time we needed to say our goodbye. We can't thank her enough.
I would also like to thank Stephen from iCare Pet Crem for his care and compassion on the day, and for the wonderful job he did preparing our boy for his return home. Knowing that Bracken was treated with such care throughout the whole process meant so much to us.
We will always be grateful that we chose Cloud 9 Vets and that Bracken’s final moments were peaceful, dignified and surrounded by love.

From the short notice arrangement to the time and care given to my dear Dorothy I couldn’t find fault with this company. In addition I had an hour or so to spend with her before she was taken away by the crematorium service which was a big plus. In the past pets have of necessity been taken straight after the procedure. This was calm gentle unrushed. Thank you Sonia.

Cloud 9 helped my family with the passing of our family dog who we loved so much, from start to finish it was like dealing with real life angels. They were so kind and compassionate and looked after our boy so well. For being one of the worst days of our lives cloud 9 made it easier for us and I would 100% recommend using at home euthanasia over a vet practice. Thank you is not enough. Oliver our cat passed 11/8/26 w the compassionate loving and respectful care from Cloud 9. Our primary vet recommended them .We are very new to the UK from California and having all three of our pups pass in 2025 we were not sure how to arrange home euthanasia in the UK. We called and the assistance was just incredible. They even helped us arrange cremation and we already got his ashes back.
Thank you again for everything Cloud 9 you made this incredibly clear but difficult decision easier.

A very peaceful passing 💙
Cloud 9 helped us through the most difficult time with our poorly boy Thompson. Ellie respectfully sorted all the arrangements including the aftercare for us. Filipe the vet was very sensitive and reassuring when he arrived at our home - we knew it was the right decision albeit the hardest. It was a very peaceful passing and it only took a few days before our dear boy was returned to us 💙

Second time I have used this service
Second time I have used this service. First time my dog hated the vets and I didn’t want fear to be his last memory. Second time my dog was 62kg and I wasn’t about to push and shove her into a car, whilst she was deep in sleep at home.
Both dogs crossed the rainbow bridge so peacefully, at home, being cuddled and no stress at all. It was the perfect passing each time. The vets are lovely, nothing is too much trouble.
Our large dog, we used the cremation service. Again, so caring and dignified. Thanku.
Thank you Santander credit card too! Who cares. Some things are more important than money. I can sleep at night knowing I did the best for my best friends that we will miss forever and ever 💔

Absolutely the best we could have wished for.
We called on cloud 9 to come out to put our dear Murphy to sleep, he had cancer. The vet that came out was David, I must say he was excellent. He didn't rush and gave us all the time we needed, and explained everything that he was doing. Murphy knew nothing about it, it was so peaceful. We couldn't have wished for better. I would definitely recommend cloud 9 from the 1st phone call to ringing to make the final appointment the staff were excellent and very caring. We would definitely use cloud 9 again.

I booked home euthanasia for our…
I booked home euthanasia for our family's much loved little girl cat,Jasmin for the 6th July. This was reluctantly booked due to her vet refusing pain relief for her advanced squamous cell carcinoma. Jasmin was 19 years plus old. I booked this because l did not want her to suffer the trauma of a visit to the vets and felt this would be a better option. Juliette the vet came for the procedure which was explained to both me and my daughter. I was told Jasmin may vomit due to the sedative given before the procedure. My main concern was that it should be quick and not to alarm Jasmin. However unfortunately once given the sedation, Jasmin jumped off my knee and vomited in the corner of the room. She then slumped down on one side with her leg under her in an awkward position.I asked Juliette could l pick her and she said no because Jasmin should be upright if she vomited again. The vet after a few minutes picked Jasmin up and gave me her to hold whilst the final injection was given. This was placed in her kidneys. I feel l must put a poor review on for this company because it states "gentle euthanasia" on its website. I do not feel that this was the case for Jasmin. I had to watch her suffer, unable to pick her up in her last moments of life and this is an image l find difficult to forget. I booked cremation with this company also. A lovely man came to pick Jasmin up after the vet left but this was only 6 minutes after her passing. I felt this was not enough time to spend with Jasmin. I will think again about home euthanasia in the future for any pets l have as it is an extremely drawn out process and very distressing.

I am extremely distressed to read your review, I would like to investigate this further and call you rather than discussing personal issues on Trustpilot. Our home euthanasia is not designed to be a quick event, it is a slower process to allow you to say that last goodbye, whilst Jasmine drifted into a sedated state. Jasmine would neither be aware of not feel the final euthanasia injection. Some cats can feel nauseous after a sedation especially at her advanced age and I understand that this is not pleasant. I understand that poor Jasmine was very poorly when our vet arrived with you and I am sorry that Jasmine did vomit, that is not nice to see, but would have been a reaction to the drug combined with her failing health and her 19 years.
I can see that Neil arrived approximately an hour and a quarter after the vet, to collect Jasmine, I am so sorry you felt that that was too quick, he is indeed a lovely person and would have been more that happy to wait for you.
We will call you to discuss the visit, in order that we can better understand your distress. We try so hard to make everything work as well as we possibly can, I am so sorry and desperately disheartened.

I have never experienced a more seamless, professional, compassionate and timely service in anything more than we have from Cloud 9 and everyone connected with them. From the very first phone call with Debbie who just made me feel we were doing the right thing using Cloud 9 to the wonderful vet Sally, who came out to help us guide our precious girl Heidi over the rainbow bridge and then to Alan who came to collect her and take her to Holywell Pet Cemetery. I would t use this service again
I’m guessing my Kiki was the unlucky one as so many good reviews . The experience of my dog being put to sleep I felt was extremely inhumane she had a very large injection pushed into her heart and she died with a loud distressing scream and went all stiff with the pain like a heart attack . This image I cannot get out my head I chose this option so she could go peacefully and more comfortable but it was quite the opposite to what she got .
I’ve never experienced this ever in a vets they have just gone to sleep peacefully . My
Girl was such a quiet dog she never made a fuss the whole time she was ill . I never ever complain but every night I go to sleep I can hear that scream and see that image 😢

We did not have anyone available that could travel to you at the requested time, I would still like to investigate this further and listen to the calls you made to my colleagues. We help many pet families every day of the year, I am sorry we could not find an appointment for your pet, investigating this case will help me improve our services.
It is so bitterly disappointing to receive such a poor review when you have not used our services. Please provide me with more information in order that I can follow up on this.
We do not profess to cover the whole of the UK, on our website we write "It is Cloud 9 Vets *vision* to be able to provide the same supportive and caring in home vets services to all of the UK"

We are not in every part of the UK, which we are clear about, and at times our vets in the areas we cover, may be booked, so we can never guarantee that an appointment time will always be available, I do not think anyone can.
We are here 365 days a year doing our utmost to help as many pet families as we can, there are fewer vets providing home services and we do all we can to arrange home euthanasia visits. It is so incredibly disheartening to all of the dedicated vets and support staff to receive a 1 star review because we may not have available appointments at a particular time or in a specific location, we do not claim to be in every part of the nation and I believe it is somewhat unfair to punish us for that, but I am still sorry that we are not in as many places as we would wish, I sincerely apologise for that.
I am so sorry that you are faced with an end of life situation for your pet, I understand and have experienced the pain of that, it saddens me.

From initial phone call to having our dog Lenny go to sleep
From initial phone call to having our dog Lenny brought home in his casket, cloud 9 where amazing, I dreaded making the call, but it was all organised for us and although heartbreaking 💔 for us Lenny was 15years old and never needed to go to the vet, we wanted him to be at home.
It was perfect and he arrived home within 24hours.
We were kept informed through each step and all involved were kind, professional, understanding caring and empathetic.

On Friday 19th June we had our much loved Springer Spaniel, Ruby, put to sleep.
For anybody in that procrastination phase, I feel your pain. Me and my wife had been stuck in it for 6 months. Monitoring our girls progress day by day.
It was the most gut wrenching day of our lives and incredibly emotional.
We had a lovely man called Alessandro come out to us from Cambridgeshire. As soon as he came into the living room he sat on the floor and let Ruby approach him. It was the first time she had greeted somebody in a long time and she seemed genuinely happy, like she knew what he had come for. This opened the flood gates.
Alessandro was an absolute gem of a man. He explained everything to us, gave us opportunities to ask questions and made sure we were ready to progress at all times, all whilst fussing Ruby the entire time.
Alessandro administered the sedative first which took about a minute or so to kick in, whereby Ruby went into a peaceful sleep. This gave us an opportunity to carry on stroking her, kissing her and saying our goodbyes. We weren't rushed at all.
The next phase was to insert a canula and give Ruby the injection that would set her free.
I took comfort in the fact that Ruby was sleeping during this 2nd phase so that she didn't feel the canula or have any fear.
Once Alessandro administered the 2nd injection it was very, very quick. Ruby had gone, peacefully, with no barking, no whimpering and no fear.
The whole process was incredibly gentle, peaceful and dignifying for our precious girl.
To anyone reading this, I know how hard it is to make that call. And as many people have said, better to be a week early than a day late. We did not want to leave it until it became an emergency.
It will be an incredibly hard day, and the day itself....seems to drag on forever. But I promise you the next day, you wake up and feel a sense of relief that your best friend is at peace and that the worst of it is behind you.

Dear Daniel,
I am humbled by your words, but I am so comforted in the clear message that you write. It was important that Ruby's welfare was of highest importance, but it is so easy to, as you said, procrastinate. I understand that because deep down all pet owners are optimists and have a hope that things will get better. But when we are faced with the inevitable it takes great bravery to make that call and arrange for that visit.
Thank you so much for your personal words about Alessandro, indeed a skilled vet but equally important a genuine, caring person. I am pleased that we have been able to support you during this emotional and sad last goodbye.
Your words help us build up the strength to be the compassionate and caring service that is here everyday of the year.

Peaceful dignified no rush Calm
Dr Wing made our beloved 16 year old Yourkie passing so gentle peaceful with a No rush calmness she explains the procedure gave Barnie a sedative as he lay sleeping I my husbands arms after 10 mins when he was snoring soundly she administered anaesthetic & he carried right on sleeping forever Amazing service thank you sooo much highly recommended 👍🏽🐾🙏🏼🩵

I called cloud 9 vets as one of our…dogs was ready to leave thus world
I called cloud 9 vets as one of our dogs, 16 year old Rizzo was coming to the end of her life, I spoke with Ellie first and she reassured me regarding euthanasia and i explained that I would need to speak with the kids who are grown up now but 16 years ago they were young, the next day I called and spoke with Debbie who also was so much help and through loads of me wanting, Debbie delivered and arranged a visit that evening, even with the same day cost and out of hours it was the best decision, Debbie arranged a vet called Sally and said she would be great, that was an understatement, Sally was unbelievably caring and empathetic, there could not have been a better vet to put Rizzo to rest, then the crematorium man arrived who was just as nice, even though Rizzo is greatly missed these lovely and caring people made it a lot easier, I arrived home from work today and there was a card from Cloud 9 vets signed also by Sally with condolences for Rizzo, I can't thank you all enough

What lovely heartfelt words, thank you so much. We do all we can to make this difficult process as bearable as possible. You gave us the trust to help you and all my colleagues, as they do every day, reacted with care, empathy and above all else respect for you and for Rizzo.
Your words mean so much, losing a beloved companion is never easy, but being at home with the love and safety that means, is a great comfort. A peaceful and dignified goodbye is truly a final act of love.
Please accept my sincere condolences over the loss of your dear Rizzo, I am comforted that we have been able to be there for you during such an emotional time.

I highly recommend cloud 9
I highly recommend cloud 9 . From the first phone call to the last they were so considerate , sympathetic and really cared . We decided to send Daisy our bichon fries to heaven when she was diagnosed with stage 4 chronic kidney failure and had stopped eating and drinking . Julieta the vet who came to us was we believe to be an angel she was so kind , gentle and genuine. She allowed me to hold Daisy through out and protected us from seeing anything that would be to upsetting. She made the whole passing so beautiful, peaceful and dignified for us and our dog. We can’t thank her enough for making Daisy last moments with us so calm and peaceful.
When I called cloud 9 to ask about daisy’s ashes the lady on the phone knew exactly who I was talking about and shared her own experience with the passing of her bichon fries. I highly recommend them and will always be grateful for their kindness.

Your warm words about Daisy and so greatly appreciated by us all. We appreciate the time you have taken to talk about such a difficult process, but making that difficult decision was indeed a final act of love to your beloved Daisy.
We do all we can to make this sad time a celebration of your companions life but we understand the emotions involved, which makes us very grateful for your caring words, but even more important is the fact that other pet families will be able to take strength, knowing there is someone to help when help and support is needed most.
