Research BBB Before Hiring
Anyone planning to hire Clearit USA should read the complaints made against them with the Better Business Bureau (google Clearit USA, Better Business Bureau). In my experience, they were good at finding problems. They were also good at ducking work, passing the buck, and finding excuses not to solve problems. If you want to save your money and prevent brain-damage, avoid them and hire a competent customs broker who answers their phone.
It is always a red flag when a business litigates with a former customer through reviews. When that happens, a prospective customer's best bet is to simply avoid that merchant. It is even worse if the merchant tries to cover up their failure to provide service by accusing their customer of fraudulent activity. It is _even worse_ if the so-called fraudulent activity of which the merchant accuses its customer is entirely legal act of providing true information in order to apply for a refund.
Clearit USA's response should speak for itself. If you do not want to be drawn into this type of he-said-he-said mess, hire someone else and avoid them!

Hi John, While we do appreciate you taking the time to leave feedback, once again, it is important to note that Clearit, nor any other legitimate customs Broker, will assist you with falsifying information or documentation in order to satisfy U.S. Customs. The Clearit team is made up of Customs professionals with decades of experience and without proper documentation provided by your supplier, we respectfully declined to handle your import request. After doing so, you then asked Clearit to provide proof that we would not handle your request so that you could get a refund from your supplier. Clearit will not assist with fraudulent activity.

Don't wait to long
We had a company dealing with our import for a month. We did not get any info as to what has been done for us to get the customs clearance done. Clearit asked us for everything they needed and checked on previous progress. Then put everything together to make it work. During that time they have been very responsive to any question we had.

There was poor response over the holidays including the two days after Christmas and the two days after New Year's Day.

When they are on task they are very good. But they tend to ask for the same information I have provided before (repeatedly).
There is a disconnect between their agents and knowledge of my account even though I have been doing business with them for several years.
