They debited extra money from my bank account

They debited extra money from my account; this started almost a year ago, and they continue billing for a number that does not exist; when I contacted them, they blamed it on me, the number does not exist, but they keep debiting those calls from my account. Customer service is terrible they compromise to fix it but they don't do anything.

I entered my husbands details on line…

I entered my husbands details on line with circles life. Received an email to say all ready to go, put the sim in ,no service and only emergency calls, My husband is a builder and needs his phone, so after several attempts to contact them to no avail. He needs them to release his phone number so we can go back to the original provider, which they haven't done.

Sim only plan not a good product for a…

Sim only plan not a good product for a teenager. Unlike Belong if a young person uses over the data the plan doesn't switch data off, Circles of life still charges. Belong switches data off and then the account holder chooses to either purchases more or wait until the new billing cycle. It's very sneaky how Circles of life charge extra for data.

They are a Scam!!!

They are a Scam!!!
I've been using circles.life for past 1 month and my plan was a $10 per month plan. But now they're charging me $101 additional without any clarification. I asked them to give me a reason for this ridiculous amount and didn't get any proper answer from their side.
Upon asking several times they sent me a breakup of charges where there is no difference between start time and end time and they are charging hefty amount for that... it's clear fraud!!!
They're FRAUDS, be careful before you choose any products from Circles.life.

Daylight robbery

I decided to use circle life as it used the network of optus and was very cheap compared to other providers. I got a plan for $20 per month lasting for 12 months ($35 per month after that) giving 50GB of data. In December 2022, I used data very carefully for the last 10 days. Every day I used to check the circle life app and I also used to get messages saying that I used some % of data. Even on 31st December, I checked the app and used the data accordingly. I got a message at 7pm on 31st December saying that I have used 100% of data, after which I turn off the mobile data and did other things. In January, I was slapped with a bill of $158.04 which was $138.04 more than what I was expected to pay. I contacted them and they said I already exceeded the data threshold from 23rd of December which was untrue as per the APP THEY HAVE BUILT and the messaging system WHICH THEY USE. I denied them paying the amount and showed them how their system is faulty. There is no other way to rely, to know how much data you used other than their app and their messages. Despite having email wars (which they barely reply), I was given 10 Gb extra for the next month which does not justify taking $138 extra from my account. I told them I would be switching sim provider if they do not rectify this. NO REPLY. I changed the sim at the end of January and BOOM I got a reply saying that they have seen the error and would give me $138 as their sim credit. But I was no longer with them so I cannot use that. While my wife was still using circle as she barely use that much data, I told them to transfer my sim credit to my wife's credit if they feel it this way. AND NO REPLY AGAIN. So, After 15 days of no response from them, I changed my wife's sim provider as well. Nobody should rely on their app and their messaging. Also, the customer service is so bad, you can't help it. Its like daylight robbery.

Great deals on the surface UNTIL...

Great deals hook you in... BUT... don't bother doing voice calls - took a month to fix & then EVERY SINGLE CALL GOT CUT OFF within 10 seconds to 3 mins! Incoming calls cut off after 2 rings, so no chance to accept call. Data connection seemed ok, though the usage amount was inflated compared to mobile phone's data usage calculation. The billing is awkward and impossible to pay at times, as the app is constantly buggy. Customer service 'exists' via chat but incompetent, mostly going around in circles without resolution. I have been extremely patient, but 6 months of misery is more than enough. If you value a stable network and ability to have uninterrupted conversations, best to avoid Circles.Life like the plague.
P.S. I have a dual SIM phone and I have had no issues with the other provider.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE FRAUDULENT LIEING SCAMMERS & ANYONE PUSHING THESE SCAMMERS. PCT TECH IN MIDLAND GATE WA- THEY ARE INVOLVED ALSO IN THE SCAM. LIARS FRAUDSTERS ......GOOGLE THEM YOU CAN SEE FOR YOURSELVES THEY HAVE MANY LAW SUITS AGAINST THEM. THEY HAD TO PAY OUT HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO PEOPLE THEY SCAMMED LAST YEAR!!!!!

I would give zero stars if I could

I would give zero stars if I could.

I joined Circles for my business only to find out that there is an unreasonable call timeout>voicemail time and this cannot be changed. This meant that my calls were not going to voicemail and would just ring out.

Here comes the fun part, you cannot manage all accounts from one portal or login. You need to login to the app from each device. I contacted them to cancel 3 services and was told that the cancellation would take 30 days and we would still be billed! After telling them I would go to the TIO they cancelled the service.

The final bills were issued 2 weeks later but as the accounts were closed the only way to pay was bank transfer. 4 weeks after transferring the money for the final bills and sending screenshots 3 times they are still emailing me saying I have overdue accounts.

Resolving this issue is a nightmare as they have no phone support only email or overseas live chat. You can leave a voicemail and they say they will call you back in 24 hours but I wouldn't put money on that happening.

This is by far the worst service I have ever used and urge everyone to stay away.

Avoid them at all cost

Avoid them at all cost! Circles.Life downplayed the international roaming rates when I asked them about prior to upgrading to a higher plan and use the international roaming with Circles.Life. If I knew about these rates I would have switched to a different provider with a more favourable international roaming or I would have not used roaming at all if I knew the rates are so high.

Overcharged by $500

Circles.Life overcharged me by $500 for a month, I have tried numerous times to have the bill disputed and have been continuously told that someone will get in contact with me later which has never happened.

Very poor customer service

Very poor customer service. I lost my phone 8 days ago and placed an order for a new sim 7 days ago with scheduled delivery today. It did not arrive and I have been informed that the order did not go through. Perhaps I missed a step? Regardless, there is no live chat or call centre service. I finally was able to reach a member of the team on Facebook and they began to offer help. They suggested I submit another order which I attempted but was unable to as they sent a verification code to my email (which is protected by two-factor authentication with a code sent to my mobile). I asked if they could perhaps place an order on my behalf and I'd be waiting essentially half a month for a lost sim. The team member on Facebook has now ignored me for one hour despite 2 further requests just to see if they missed my message by accident. The mobile plan is good when running smoothly but if you need any support or help... you might as well change mobile companies.

Unethical and no customer service

Unethical and no customer service.
Incorrect billing.
I was charged excess data usage of $170 for December.
Received email on 5th stating there was a "system glitch" and that the bill would be amended.
15 days late I get a fail to pay notice.
I've been told there was a second "system glitch" and all customers who were sent the previous email stating bills would be amended was ANOTHER MISTAKE 😂
2 "system glitches" in a month.
In December I received a SMS stating that bill payment had failed - the payment was on auto payment and wasn't due for another 7 days.
3 "system glitches" in 2 months!
Customer support are never able to sort anything out on the spot. Tickets take days to respond and mostly never are followed up with an outcome.
Feedback and information given by staff is inconsistent and unreliable.
This company is a scam.
They are cheap but will find a way to make money from you sooner or later.

HORRENDOUS !!! SCAM !!!

HORRENDOUS service. Once I asked them to pause my account for a month because I was going overseas, but still they charged me.
Secondly, their messaging service on data usage is 100 years backwards. Recently they charged me $347 extra for extra data usage(according to them), but their messaging service told me that I still have 1.5 GB of data protection left on the verge of 12 am 1st January (start of new month).
Upon reaching them via live chat, they confirmed that yes you were over charged and it will be solved within 24 to 48 hours. But without getting any reply after 48 hours, I had to chase them again and this time they got back to me but demanding all the money.
I provided them with the screenshots of the messages but no reply after that. I will definitely report them to fair trading if they direct debit from my account.

Best value phone carrier and great customer support

I switched to Circles.life for 4 months now on the 5GB/month deal, and the experience has been nothing but amazing. I’m finding it hard to write in words how happy I am with the deal. Compared to other mobile phone carriers, Circles.life has amazing deals and great value.

At first when I signed up, I couldn’t port over my phone number. We went online with one of their “Customer Happiness Experts” and we didn’t interact with a bot - we were talking to a person. They helped us resolve the issue which unfortunately meant ordering a new sim.

After the new sim arrived, it was a seamless setup. It didn’t take long at all to setup and we didn’t encounter any issues. The experience has been truly wonderful and I’d definitely recommend it.

Good deals, fast and reliable

They have some killer deals and I received the sim card the next day after I ordered it! It was so fast.
Then my phone number was ported over within 1 hour

Service has been great on the central coast, no complaints here.
Why would I spend $40 with another telco when I can spend $25 with these guys and have the exact same service?

Circle Won't Close My Account

Issue with Circle concerning closure of a phone has been ongoing since August - they state that they need to identify me via 'prime' id records this is despite they have my DOB, Home Address, Full Name, Account Details, Copy of Billing Statements to include a service that I cancelled in February with supporting document, email addresses etc

Circle continue to state that it is a Govt requirement - utter BS -

I've informed Circle that we are at an impasse as I will not provide 'prime' id records to them because the company has zero integrity based on my experience and the experience of others - Circles states trust me, trust me - DEFINITELY NOT A TELECO TO TRUST - operation is poor by the way that they are conducting my account and the account of others. It is evident there is no effective management team, if so, they would be addressing the issues that are being continually raised by myself and others.

Image if I were to provide my prime documents to Circle what may happen based on their performance and management style to date - no, no, no I cannot afford the possibility of scam accounts being established.

Latest email received - same old rehash

In reality a way of keeping the monthly charges going rather than trying to address the issue and making a
common sense commercial decision - I've informed the company that at 73 years of age I'm now finding the dialogue interesting - let's just see how long the Circle keep this charade going - do they not realise for me it is now a game and montly charge worth the entertainment fee - they simply do not realise that their organisation has more to loss becasue of Staff cost and damage to brand reputation

For me it highlights that Circle is a 2 bit operation

For any Circle Staff vetting my latest reference number is 1922761 - I feel sorry and concerned for Circle Staff having to follow the Corporate Line

Hi Ron, thanks for taking the time to provide your review. While the articulation by our staff member leaves a bit to be desired, they are correct in that we are required by both privacy legislation and the TCP Code (Telecommunications Consumer Protections Code) to ensure that we validate your identity using the methods stipulated in the code. This is designed to protect customers against fraudulent activity, or (mostly) women in domestic violence situations, or a variety of other situations where it's too risky to 'take your word for it'. It's nothing personal. What should have been offered here are some other methods to validate your identity (eg: set up a conference call where you can show you ID).

In terms of us being a '2 bit operation', I can assure you that is not the case. We have over 500 staff across 5 countries including Japan, Taiwan and Singapore. We have over 130,000 customers in Australia, have multi-award winning plans and have one of the highest rated apps of any telco with over 3000 combined reviews.

I will take your reference number and follow this up, but I also wanted to address your comments on this public forum.

Cheap and Nasty

AVOID THIS CARRIER! They're cheap for a reason. My phone data disconnected for no reason, and it took A WHOLE WEEK for them to fix the problem. No offer to provide any kind of reasonable compensation, totally unresponsive support team. God help you if you run into any issues...

Hi Jordan, I agree - disconnecting customers for no reason would be a pretty terrible business model. Unfortunately, this is exactly what happened to me and it took the team a full week to fix the issue.

My data was cut off on 21/10 while I was on my way to work due to an "unpaid credit cap charge" even though I paid it a week prior. This locked me out from using my digital train ticket to board the train so I ended up buying a physical train ticket which has a surcharge of $7 associated with it. Later that night, I was stranded in the city with the trains not running and I was not able to order an uber due to having no data.

I raised a Zendesk ticket #1871503 immediately along with bank statements showing that the charge was paid, and screenshots of the app saying the charge was paid.

Customer rep sends me a cookie cutter response saying there is an outstanding balance I need to pay, and to click on the "pay now" button. I click on the button, and it takes me to a page that says the charge has already been paid. I tell the rep this, and he becomes unresponsive.

I complain on the app store, and a customer rep called RJ reaches out to me. He acknowledges the issue and says he'll contact the back end team to fix it. He says he'll be in touch. 4 days later, I do not hear back so I follow it up. RJ again says he'll follow up and will get back to me. I head nothing for another day. I follow up again, he gives me the same response and I do not hear back from him for another day. I follow up AGAIN the next day and finally he tells me the problem is fixed. This whole time I was left without data which I already paid for.

I ask for compensation for the $7 surcharge I was forced to pay as a direct result of the error, plus the week I was left without data. He offers me $5 which doesn't even cover the surcharge. I tell him that it doesn't even cover me for my expenses, and he says he'll check with the back end team and will "get back to me". Well guess what, I've followed up with him on the 31/10, 3/11, 15/11, 28/11, 5/12, 22/12 and 23/12.

Each time I'm told that he is following up with the back end team and will get back to me. In my most recent follow up, he didn't even know who I was and asked for all my details again. Obviously he's not following it up at all.
