Do your research first!
If a recruitment agency has suggested that you take a course on this website, I would recommend that you do some research first! After doing a little research I was able to make an informed decision about whether to purchase a course from this company.
Here is what happened to me, if you are reading this perhaps you find yourself in a similar situation: I was told by a recruitment agency that I was an excellent candidate for a role but would need to strengthen my application with an "official certification" in finance. They told me to sign up for the "Introduction to UK Financial Regulation & Professional Integrity" course at CIFA, which costs £358. I was suspicious so I searched the name of this particular course on Reddit and discovered that others have had the same experience – they had all been told by a recruiter to take a course at CIFA. I did not sign up for the course, and I never heard from the recruiter again.
If you are in a similar situation and you are considering purchasing a course at CIFA, I would recommend doing some research into CIFA and the recruitment company you have been in touch with. I’m not sure if I would put much trust in all the 5-star reviews on this page that seem to all come from accounts that have only ever posted one review. If you want to see what people on Reddit have to say I would avoid the “r/CIFA_REVIEWS” subreddit which appears to just be posts from the same few accounts that were mostly created in March 2023 who don’t have any interests on Reddit besides talking about the benefits of online financial courses. I would also recommend searching on Reddit and Trustpilot for recruitment companies such as "Recruitment Central", "City Jobs UK", “My Financial Careers”, and "Recruit Direct" – the name CIFA comes up often when reading about these companies and you may find that others have had an experience that sounds a lot like yours.

I think the course is too dry for learning. I was expecting a course with videos along with reading PDFs. Again, the Pdf was not properly formatted for easy reading. PDF should be well formatted into an e-book format for easy readability and access of the last page you left without the system taking you back to a start.
Again, I don't see why I should pay separately to access videos and also certification.

I would never recommend this …
I would never recommend this company, I bought financial course last year. I gave exam couple of weeks ago and questions in the exam were completely different, you spend your time and efforts into course and then they represent you different exam. Like Seriously.
You buy a course, then you pay for exam separate and then you pay so called proctor fee, which I had to pay twice. I paid first and website said you still need to pay, I contacted them they asked me to pay again and I paid, and was told that It will be refunded.
Buying any course online is wastage of money.I regret that my hardworking money spent on them.
But their customer service is good, they are always happy to help.

NOT RDR QUALIFICATIONS
My primary concern with CIFA is their lack of clarity regarding the compliance of their certificates with RDR standards. As someone who transitioned into the financial services industry from another sector, I wasn't fully informed about this issue. I invested over £900 in exams and textbooks, only to discover from my employer that the certificates I obtained hold no industry recognition. When I raised this issue with CIFA, they showed no willingness to compensate me and seemed unconcerned about the threat to my employment. Consequently, I had to undertake three additional exams through CISI, incurring another £900 in expenses. CIFA should explicitly state on their website that their certificates are not recognized by the FCA and do not qualify individuals for any professional capacity. While their customer service appears professional, their sales tactics are misleading and lack transparency—ironically, contradicting key principles of the FCA.

Unhappy
In my opinion they have ties to my financial careers. If you’ve been contact by a recruiter to “invest” in any of these courses. I urge you to save your time and money and do not trust this company. To me I feel as though they take advantage of young graduates looking to get a foot in the door. Disappointing really!
Since they have started legal proceedings against me I want to add I did receive a FULL refund. Yet my opinion still stands.
