I was booked in for my first service…
I was booked in for my first service with the MG HS. The booking from start to Finnish was absolutely first class. Their customer service is amazing .I received constant reminder messages from MG Chorely which for me is very reassuring. The car was booked in and I really have to say they accommodated every need that I had. Initially I requested to drop the car off the night before IE Thursday and pick up the day after on the Saturday. The online check in is great and the fact you can visit the showroom go to the booking screen enter the car details and confirm the appointment add a parking location for your car and then leave the key in a secured key locker just makes the process so much easier. Picking up the car was also flawless too. I received a text first to confirm the service was completed with an online report and a video of the technician showing the tyres and brakes along with the suspension etc. shortly afterwards I received a confirmation text to advise what code to use to collect your car, all I did was go to the showroom enter my registration the key code id received and collected my car. A totally hassle free no nonsense approach very easy and so quick and simple.
Along with this my car had a fault with the front and rear passenger wheels after it being inspected MG went through their process to establish whether it was a warranty fault and they replaced both the wheels at the same time.
Myself and my wife are looking to purchase another MG in the next year as she absolutely loves my car. We have the HS plug in phev and I have to say the range on the electric on this car is absolutely perfect for us for our day to day trips.

The customer service was excellent, Dawid went through everything thoroughly and couldn't have been more helpful. I'd never driven an automatic before so he drove to a quiet car park where I could try it before I drove it back to the showroom. At the handover he again explained the key features. The only negative is the car park where it is virtually impossible to find a parking space.

I bought my MG ZS EV earlier this year…
I bought my MG ZS EV earlier this year from Chorley Wigan. The pick up date changed several times and I was told that it needed some work by the local MG dealership. Eventually after a few days I managed to collect the car.
On my first full day of driving the car I made a few short local journeys and then made a trip to Warrington just a few miles down the road. On my return journey whilst driving on the M6 the battery percentage just dropped off a cliff and by the time that I reached a public charging point the battery was at 5%. the car had only done about 40 miles from being fully charged.
I went to Chorley group to report the fault and asked to get it sorted. They booked the car into the local MG dealership 1 MONTH later. I had to use the car in this condition for the whole of that time. I had to use public fast chargers constantly and every journey I made was a nightmare.
The car finally went in and they took it to the local MG dealership. Although I told them what was happening they had not told MG the whole story. The car was returned to me 3 weeks later saying that the car had no fault. I have now had to go to the MG dealership to tell them that the car was still faulty after almost running out of charge once again after only travelling 40 miles. MG have once again booked me in in 3 weeks time.
I believe that Chorley sold me a car which is unreliable and unroadworthy. I would advise nobody to buy a car through them

Looked at a used car, bought a new one.
I went to the Wigan Peugeot site to look at a used Skoda on the 13th of August. I didn’t like it so sat chatting to Tom and tried out a Peugeot 2008, again 2nd hand. I liked the car, a lot and drive out 2 days later in a new model, with my own reg on. I’d call their service exemplary. From initial discussions to the purchase it was simple, straightforward and easy. I can’t fault the staff, either face to face, phone or email everything was done in a friendly, helpful and informative manner.

1/5 Stars – Appalled by the lack of communication and selling a reserved car
I paid a £99 reservation fee in good faith to secure a vehicle with Chorley Group. For four days straight, I was repeatedly told by staff that someone would call me back to assist me, yet I was completely ignored and never received a single return call. To my absolute shock, I later found out that the car I had paid to reserve had been sold without a single word of notification. Taking a customer's money, promising daily updates that never come, and selling their reserved car is completely unprofessional. I am now chasing a refund of my £99 fee. Thoroughly disappointed by this level of service and would not recommend.

Firstly, I’m sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the communication you received following your vehicle reservation and for any frustration this caused.
I have spoken with Lee, who has confirmed that he spoke with you on Saturday while Adam was off. During that conversation, the situation regarding the vehicle was explained to you, and it was agreed that we would look into alternative vehicles once the latest stock was uploaded to our purchasing systems on Monday. My understanding is that you were happy with this arrangement at the time and that we agreed to contact you around Monday lunchtime.
You subsequently contacted the team first thing Monday morning to advise that you no longer wished to proceed and requested a refund of your £99 reservation fee. We asked you to provide your details by email so that this could be processed, and I can confirm that the refund was actioned first thing this morning.
I’m sorry that your experience did not meet the level of service we expect to provide, particularly around the communication and the frustration caused by the vehicle no longer being available.
