Bought a mid sleeper and desk in the October sale for my son for Christmas, was putting it together Christmas week and the shelf of the desk is broken, sent pictures over asking just for the shelf to be replaced, seens as it was sent to me broken, were completely unhelpful, won’t send another one out, absolutely disgusting behaviour for a child’s Christmas present, I will re buythe desk from a more reliable company, and also to note that when I originally bought the bed I was wanting it in a different colour but was rang to be told their website shouldn’t have been showing it in that colour because they didn’t have it, and one of the slats of the bed was cracked but my husband managed to fix that, stay well clear if i was you
Pictures I sent clearly showed the items still in the box so really don’t see why the time frame makes a difference, most company’s would sort it if they had sent you a broken item, shoddy excuse

Ordered a bed on Boxing Day, get told 7-10 days delivery to then get an email saying 1st April 2022. I’ve tried contacting the company by phone and email and had no response! Appalling to take £350 from my account when the bed obviously isn’t in stock! When it said in stock, now on website it says pre order. I wouldn’t of pre ordered the bed for April when I got rid of my sons bed thinking this would be 7-10 days delivery like it stated. I’m really annoyed that I can’t communicate with your company via phone or email! So this was my last resort. I need someone to contact me over the phone to try to resolve this issue as I cannot wait until April for the bed.

Was concerned to order as reviews are not great.
But I found the communication was excellent and I had no problems with delivery. I was given a time slot the day before and I had was called half an hour before he arrived .
Dimensions of product are not correct on website, which I queried beforehand, however the manufacturer is the one at fault as they have the incorrect information on the instruction manual.
Other than that the lady I spoke to on this website was as helpful as she could be

Poor quality products and terrible customer service.
Product clearly has faults that were present at manufacture and I have had to chase repeatedly for any response. All I am being offered is replacement parts at my own cost. I don’t think so! Will be pursuing.
Ref response: there is no regard for the consumer rights act by this company. I have been sold a poor quality product that has developed further faults that were evidenced as present at manufacture/time of receipt. I do not consider it unreasonable to expect a bed to last longer than 14 months. It was not a cheap product. This company has tried every excuse not to accept responsibility.

The Steens range is awful quality and will not last 18 months. Some handles have fallen off the chest of drawers and wardrobe, the runners have completely come off so can use the drawers now. The wardrobe handles have also come off. Poor quality and with a years warranty be prepared to have to buy new ones after a year
Update: To reply to your response I appreciate there is a one year warranty however I'm warning people to expect to be replacing it not long after that warranty. I've got furniture 5/6 years old and going strong. This is 18 months and we are having to buy new stuff again

Awful!
Faulty chest of drawers returned, they said they would replace, allegedly during shipment the replacement got damaged and no more units were available. Asked them to replace with different colour and they said yes if I pay them more money!! If you get good furniture then I suspect you will be fine, if there are any problems at all then best of luck. Their management has a big problem with customer service and they really should not be in business!

Unfortunately, the bed I wanted (specifically the colour) was an exclusive for Childrensbedshop, so I didn’t really have a choice. My issues are:
1) The website offers discounted mattress options when buying, but neither option was suitable for the bed (it needed a thinner cabin mattress).
2) I ordered a add on product, and they then allocated the wrong product to my order.
3) Over a week as a lead time for a product in stock is not really good enough these days. That said at least it meant I could correct the error in point 2.
4) When the bed arrived one of the parts was incorrect (two left parts, instead of left and right). Whilst this was the manufactures fault the customer service was abysmal, and I'm currently waiting 7-10 days for them to send the correct piece even though they happily told me I should feel 'lucky' as they have it in stock because it’s an exclusive.
Sadly, they probably don’t worry too much about customer service as people are unlikely to buy kids beds particularly frequently, which is really disappointing. In the meantime, my son who was really excited about his new bed is sleeping on the floor.

Fantastic service from start to finish! Ordered a mattress, received confirmation text with date it would be delivered (2 days after order made) call received approx an hour before delivery & mattress delivered to our hallway professionally. Job done! Mattress is very comfortable and I will definitely order from Children’s bed shop again.

Ordered the Pegasus High Sleeper. Everything delivered on time and intact
The bed was a beast to put together but is extremely sturdy and our son loves it
One big criticism though.....5 full bags of Polystyrene from the packaging!! Come on, surely there is a more environmentally friendly way to package your materials...it’s 2021!! Please do something about it!!

Absolutely disgusted! Ordered Julian Bowen Dove grey midsleeper. Do not bother ordering from this shop. The stuff arrived damaged, the screws damage the bed, and I’m told: we can only offer part replacement, I’m contacting the supplier. So we have a small child with no bed and wait until someone decides that we can return? Urgh! Waste of time and money!

Utter waste of time.
I ordered a bed for my son - it was meant to be a treat for him. We had the Suez canal issue as a reason for late delivery - accepted that. Then as we draw close to the delivery date I hear that the chair won't be coming with it..... still waiting for a call about that. Then.....
....it's delivery week and there's another problem - "we have no Anthracite beds just white ones" - a completely different colour and would I like a white one and the cost of the chair knocking off (the chair that we don't know when is coming) - it's really hard to just transact with this firm. It's simple in theory... I pay, they deliver the goods but apparently not - having wasted 3 months I'll now look for a bed again for my son.

Having read some negative reviews and respecting their reasons, I decided to contact the company in advance and obtain information about a product of interest. I could not find the specific product elsewhere so decided to get in touch first.
They gave prompt feedback for dimensions and also advised on stock from their supplier. Communication was good and I placed the order.
A few days later I received tracking email from courier. and received the goods within the allocated time frame and in good order without issues. From my own experience, I can recommend.

Ordered and told it would be delivered in 5 days. Did not arrive and after contact courier had lost bed. Four days running courier sent details saying it would be delivered, then claimed they couldn’t deliver even though someone was home having taken time off. Last day they delivered six hours late and dumped it outside door with no contact or ringing the bell. Appalling service. The bed is fine but I would never use or recommend this company because of poor service. They are aware of the reviews about their courier but do nothing about it. Appalling service, a disgrace.

I decided to order from here in spite of being worried about the negative reviews, thankfully i had a very positive experience. I ordered Steens for kids midsleeper, pull out desk and Junior comfort spring mattress on 23/03/21. I originally saw the bed on another site but with estimated delivery of June, here the delivery estimate was 1-5 days. Had good communication from the company, email confirmation came through straight away, phone was answered straight away on the 2 occasions I phoned and my queries answered. However I'm not sure if i hadn't asked whether i would have been told that the mattress delivery estimate was 2-4 weeks, but in the event this was okay for me, we agreed an estimated delivery date for w/c 5/4/21 (so bed and mattress could come together). I received a text on 31/03/21 to give me option of accepting delivery on 3/4/21 with a 4 hr timeslot and also received a phone call to advise of delivery date. Delivery day i had a phone call to say they were 30 mins away, all delivered on time and in tact.
The bed looks great and is very sturdy, as others have said it takes a while to put together, my partner is a carpenter and commented on the quality of the wood! Took him 3 hours.
Our 4 year old son LOVES the bed, has created a den underneath and can manage the stairs on the ladder okay, in fact has slept through the night on this bed more in the last 2 weeks than in the last 2 years! I'm very pleased with this purchase!

The bad reviews here are shocking to me as I had an excellent service from the Childrens Bed shop.
I ordered a Steens Memphis Mid Sleeper bed with pull out desk, late on a Thursday night. On Friday Morning I had a phone call arranging delivery for the following Wednesday between 1-5pm. Emails came through with order confirmation and Dispatched details and on delivery day the bed arrived at 1.30pm after a prior phone call saying they be with me in an hour.
Delivery guys delivered bed to my second floor flat Covid safely.
I immediately went to work building the bed after checking all parts and screw fixtures were there. I actually made a booboo and damaged 2 sections of the bed but this was my error and we managed to hide the booboo's with stickers so overall appearance and function of bed is still in tact and we have a very happy 5 year old with his big boy bed!
The bed took ages to put together thats the only downside but it is very sturdy and looks great!
And the best part of the service was I emailed the Childrens Bed Shop just to say how pleased I was with the service after the bad reviews on here. I mentioned the booboo I made and a lovely lady replied immediately that she would contact the manufacture for me to see if I could get replacements. 2 weeks later I get a text from DHL that my delivery from Steens will be delivered that day. And the 2 new parts needed arrived from Steens in Denmark at no extra cost even though I was prepared to pay. I'm so happy I ordered from this company and ordered the Steens bed and I'd highly reccomend them and just don't understand the bad reviews as my experience couldn't have been more different!

Just to make this clear i ordered a bed on the 2nd February and it still hasnt arrived. Now lets go into the finer details:
Odered bed on 2nd February the website showed 1-10days. As i went to checkout it instantly changed to delivery March. I followed it up with the lady on live chat and she confirmed delivery will be March. So i thought thats fine gives me a chance to decorate my little boys room.
Just before March i hadnt heard anything so i went on live chat and again the agent was very friendly and said "...it is going to come in March and you will be able to pick a day that it is delivered." I asked for this as i was in lockdown but as a teacher schools were reopening and the company have very strict delivery terms.
Last weekend i emailed the company as halfway through the month and still hadnt heard but noticed on the website it said "IN STOCK delivery April" so i asked for clarification.
Today i went on live chat as no-one had emailed me whilst on live chat the lady asked me to check my emails and claimed she had responded "very odd" I then asked for an update and was told maybe end of April. I challenged this and stated 3 other companies that had this bed IN STOCK and can deliver within 14days. I was told nothing they can do. I said this had been very mis-leading and was quoted a load of terms and conditions where they dont have to provide certain things etc. Bit odd when i was just asking about their delivery schedule. I then put a counter offer in of them ordering it from one of the 3 websites and delivering to me or giving me compensation to price match from another website. This was not accepted. So i then said i would like to make a complaint i was told i had to write a letter. I challenged this saying you have live chat and a contact page but complaint have to be a letter in this day and age and was told that is the only way and takes 28days to get back to me. Laughable concept!!!! I then challenged on how they can state something is "IN STOCK" on their website when i have been waiting since 2nd February again no response so i went on their website to screenshot and send them the picture and it said "IN STOCK delivery June" This sent alarm bells ringing i challenged this again and didnt get a response so i thought i best cut my losses here and ask for a refund.
I have now been told i must wait 3-5 days for a refund. Honestly do not trust this website or their timescales, i am a little worried about the 3-5days they have quoted above. We will see if they have any compassion and offer compensation and an apology for wasted time and my children having to sleep in cramped beds whilst waiting for the delivery that changed from 1-10 days to maybe over 3months or more if i held out. Wont hold my breath

This website is a scam! Advertises free delivery but is you miss the delivery man (while we were in our garden) you are charged £58 to redeliver or if you refuse to the £58 will be deducted from your refund!

Ordered a toddler sized Willow bed in Alder colour for a little girl called Willow. Also we got a mattress, sheets and a drawer.
Got message to say it was due 10th April in fact it came on 9th - all bits at once!
Assembly worked OK and the bed fits beautifully in the little bedroom it was for and Willow loves it! Thank you!
