Be aware, there are no returns on Mattresses unlike more reputable bedding companies. Website states "If you want to try it at home – simply leave the packaging on" but they arrive vacuum pack... Se mere

My mattress should arrive on 30 th of August still waiting. Spoke with Sonia and Mark but they are absolutely useless... No update, no refund. Have to contact my bank for full refund.
Can't believe they still trading... Stay away from this company.

I have ordered a bed for my son and when putting together we realised a wrong part was sent out to us and another one missing. Raised with their customer service team on Monday and the correct part was delivered on Thursday without any issues. I had to ring them and then put an email and I believe I was dealing with a customer agent Mark who was very very kind and helpful. His approach and the way he was talking was like this is his own business and he cares for each and every customer.

Ordered a Julian bowen midsleeper bed and was delivered on Tuesday. While putting the bed together I noticed that one of the holes was drilled wrong so took some pictures and emailed them over on Tuesday night as their customer service was closed when I realised. I rang up on Wednesday morning and after a quick phone call they emailed the manufacturer the parts I needed and by Friday the parts have arrived.
Thank you for a wonderful experience and would highly recommend especially how quickly the problem was resolved and how friendly the staff are.

We bought a Steens bunk bed. The bed is really nice, and definitely better quality than the average IKEA equivalent. It took a while to build it on my own, so worth bearing in mind.
Our boxes turned up slightly damaged due to the delivery guys mishandling the boxes, which some scratches to a few areas on the frame. The company were really prompt in dealing with it though, so I cannot fault their customer service.
Thus, overall would recommend the bed and the company.

This is the first time that I bought something from the Children’s Bed shop and, quite frankly, it was bad from start to finish. They say they deliver within 5 working days but mine was over this (I had ordered before a certain date, to get it for a certain date). When it finally arrived, parts were missing so I was unable to put it all together (I ordered the Grace bed with trundle). When I spoke to someone from customer services they didn’t seem bothered that I was left with a bed that I couldn’t put together and didn’t go to much effort to try and rectify the situation. They said they would get the parts sent to me (at no rush) which was a further delay. I had to chase this up as I was told someone would get back to me with an update (but they didn’t). Customer services gave me the wrong update as the advisor had been looking at someone else’s account and not mine. The parts finally came and I put the bed together. The bed squeaks everytime my daughter moves. I sent a written formal complaint 3 weeks ago (as this is the only way they will accept complaints) and when I contacted them they said they haven’t received anything (even though she had told me where to send it) and that maybe it’s due to the Royal Mail strikes! That still wouldn’t delay it by that long. Their customer service is non exsistent and I am now sending it recorded delivery so I have proof that it arrives. This was the only website that had the bed my daughter wanted and if you’re in the same position then, honestly, choose something different as it’s not worth the hassle! As well as selling children's beds, maybe it’s run by children too!
Because no one has gotten back to me I have no choice but to leave this review.
Ordered a trundle bed prior to moving house for my daughter. When we moved and started putting it together we noticed there was box 1 and 2 of 3 but box 3/3 was missing.
Contacted customer service and they stated that the trundle drawer for the trundle bed is a separate order. I had bought a mattress as well so was a bit perturbed as to why the drawer wasn't delivered. When it was delivered there were no instructions or assembly pieces with it. These had already come with box 1 and 2 it turned out.
This to me is a shameless way to make more money (out of an already not cheap bed). I wouldn't order a bunk bed with two mattresses and then be told that the second bunk was an extra order. Ridiculous. Would not order from this company again.
I have had a great experience with this company. Was contacted to arrange a delivery day & then was contacted again by the supplier to advise it would be late & confirmed a time slot. The bed is just what we were after, it’s lovely. Sonia in particular was so professional & helpful, thank you so much for your many calls/emails answering all of my queries. Will definitely order from this company again!
I ordered a bed on 8th October including assembly. I had confirmation and order number yet no other communication despite ringing the number available and requesting a call back.

I had a very poor experience with our Bus bunk bed. The stress was really not worth it. The bed advised shattered and then we had to wait for the replacement component parts - that were too damaged and a different shade of red. It was then agreed that the whole bed would be replaced - which it was. Not perfect but a good enough resoloution - the alternative was to get a discount for a shoddy bed that I was not prepared to do. The delivery drivers were agressive and rude, loading the faulty bed whilst we were still checking the new - and yet again we need parts replacing - however they would not let us retrieve from the stuff we packed up. Please note the original purchase was in July 2021.
The mattress now has a rod sticking out of it and we are 2 months outside of the 12 month warranty so nothing to be done. This is shocking as the bottom mattress is rarely used and when it is for a 5 year old!
I really wish I had read the reviews on this site and purchased directly from Julian Bowen. The staff at the Children Bed shop who had to deal with the issues were super helpful, but tied to the policies and a really poor logistics that are letting them down. It was as if the first bed delivered had been dropped from a great height.
After scouring the internet and finding the perfect bed heavily discounted, I filled in my details and clicked the order button. Only after clicking the order button did I think - is this company trustworthy? After finding this company on trustpilot and reading the reviews, I thought 'Oh dear, what have I done'?
Normally, I wouldn't go out of my way to leave a review but thought it was only fair since there are so many bad ones on the trustpilot website.
I ordered the bed on a Friday afternoon, and on the following Monday, had a call from a lady in their office telling me that the bed would arrive a few days later on the Friday (within a certain window of time). On the Friday lunchtime, I had a call from the delivery guys who informed me that they were 10 minutes away and they arrived promptly. Really nice guys - strong as oxes - they carted out the boxes, which were so heavy I honestly couldn't lift them.
I purchased the 'STEENS KIDS HIGH SLEEPER' bed and I have to say, the bed quality is really outstanding. It did take 3 afternoons to screw it all together (admittedly, I was really hungover on one of those) and took 3 strong adults to lift the bed onto the top of the struts. The wood is solid and weighty - I don't think we'll ever be able to take it apart again! :D)
Our daughter is seriously over the moon with the bed and so excited to have a bunk to climb into.
Overall, everything went really smoothly for us.
Absolutely awful would never choose this company again . Only received half my bed, constantly having to chase where the rest of it was
Purchased the Julian Bowen Maine Bookcase Bed and Comfy Roll Mattress for my daughter and extremely happy with both items. Customer Service was also very good and the delivery team were very helpful.
Delivered and assembled 3 weeks before estimated date. The bed is Very good quality and very sturdy. Worth paying extra to be assembled by the shop. Very fast and did a great job. Thank you!
Cheap rubbish over priced furniture! Ordered two beds after building the first and noticed issues with it I contacted them to say I want to return the second one (unopened) they said I have to pay a courier myself to return it! Absolutely awful company quoted around £150 for the return the bed cost £229 (single kids bed)
Don't buy from this terrrible company. They are no more than middle men, buying and selling cheap and poor quality furniture - likely seconds from my experience.
Their customer service experience in a joke and you have to write a letter to complain!
My father had to remake the bed and sand dangerous edges so that my 7 year old could sleep in her much anticipated new bed.
This company embodies all that is bad in internet shopping - a faceless entity with no interest or care for its customers.
Be warned - don't buy from them.

This company will try to dodge their obligations under consumer rights act 2015. They use budget couriers who did not adhere to stated delivery times, and items arriving damaged. We were not prepared to wait over 3 weeks for replacement parts, so requested a refund. They told us we were not entitled to a refund, clearly trying to mislead the consumer as you are entitled to a refund under the CRA 2015. Now They have possession of the returned goods, 3 weeks later our money still has not been refunded. Despite repeated promises from Gillian, the company fails to meet its obligations to consumers. Essentially they will try to put as many blocks in place to delay, or deter the consumer from seeking refunds. This really is a shoddy way of conducting business. Be warned, you’re gambling with this company and their contract to you - gambling on getting the goods on time, as described, fit for purpose. You’re guaranteed an awful experience if anything goes wrong. We will now be seeking the refund via our bank, reporting the company to the ombudsman, and starting a small claims case for compensation.

Please please be careful of undisclosed costs. My delivery was scheduled within a 4 hour slot today. I was working in the very next street and by total bad luck had no signal when the driver called. I missed the delivery by 15 minutes and was charged £51 for that. There was nothing I could do. I requested a refund and the money was taken from that. I begged Gillian at Customer care to see where the driver was and he then said he was 45 minutes away. Which was a physical impossibility. I have to swallow the fee because by absolutely no fault of my own, I didn’t receive the calls on time. But just want to alert anyone considering buying from this company that there is absolutely ludicrous charges and I felt quite snarmy customer service.
