I've had my fingers burned by this company. Where to start.

Back in August 2023, my car was delivered with scratches and marks on it that had not been declared, when I advised them of problem (immediately on delivery), they did not deal with the issue and I had to chase it up.

When they finally replied they chose to address the scratches themselves - only to make the minor marks worse and they didn't even tackle the main scratch - saying they would send me touch up paint so I could do it myself!! They didn't send the paint initially.

I have since found out the car was due a service before I purchased it, so I had extra expense when I got it serviced, and when doing so was told by the service company that there should be locking wheel nuts - they have never seen a vehicle with alloy wheels not have them - so again, extra money for me to fork out.

All in all, this has been very stressful, has gone on for months and has left me hating the sight of the car. I can't even sell it, and as a consequence, I have lost a significant amount of money on the purchase value.

They might be great at sales, but should you require assistance post-sale, then you will be sadly disappointed.

I am sorry to have to write this - I had hoped Elliott and I could have sorted this out.

I bought a mini from this company - and they were a pleasure to deal with. I deal with James - he was very helpful and gave good advice. Communication was excellent and although I was a pain in the backside, they never made me feel like I was being. On the day of collection, I was in a rush - they had everything ready and waiting. The car is as described and was spotless.

I spotted a mini online initially which looked like just what I was looking for, and being a mini specialist dealer, decided to pop along. It’s a family run business too, which appealed and reviews were good. Turned up and saw two minis that caught my eye (one of them was the one I’d seen in the ad that drew my initial interest). The guy working there was very friendly (not hard sell) and I drove them both, decided on one that I liked the most and went into the office…Everyone there is very friendly and the service is perfect and smooth. Really happy and hope to take my mini there for its future servicing needs. :-)

This is the second mini I have purchased from Chelmsford Car company and as before I was very pleased with the service I received.
