The crew from the Ogden/Weber office…
The crew from the Ogden/Weber office were fantastic. The supervisor was on top of everything. They were all friendly and did a great job. They cleaned up everything both days. The supervisor had me come up the first day to show what they did. The last day he wanted me to check to make sure everything was good. They also came when they said they would. Will definitely use them again and hope it’s the same crew.
Just say NO to CertaPro of Rockwall
I hired CertaPro of Rockwall to paint my small galley kitchen small utility room and small master bath. They were to re-texture a portion of the master bath and remove all texture and re-texture the small kitchen. They also were to paint kitchen and bathroom cabinets. They charged me $8000. They promised me verbally and in writing a professional job. In my estimation they came nowhere near doing a professional job. The owner owner came out twice and had the painter redo the job. The Kitchen was textured and painted twice the cabinets in both kitchen and bathroom painted twice. I still have paint runs and drips in many places, texture was not applied correctly to the walls but was glommed on baseboards and light switches. There are many splotches and uneven surfaces on new cabinet doors and baseboards. There is paint on the floor in several places. I was advised they would keep sending the same people back to redo the job they were paid to do. I felt like Bill Murray in the movie Groundhog Day. At 75 years old I just couldn’t deal with those people traipsing through my house again and again and again and I just couldn’t fight with them any more. So I paid them and every day I find something new that’s wrong. That’s why I say to you just say no to CertaPro because their idea of professional work and yours may be different and you must be ready to fight for it.
High hopes & promises meet disappointment
We had a tight time frame on a multi-room home interior painting project and were promised a team of painters that could get the job done on time. The end results: 1 painter showed up for all but the last day and a half of the project (Then there were 2 painters) The job was not completed on time and was $3000 over budget! Nathan, who gave the bid, Laurie the office manager and Cesar the painter, all over promised but underdelivered.
Walls were not primed. The painter cleaned his paints out near our garden fountain. He left two unopened gallons of paint, two shades we did not choose, as well as a 5 gallon paint bucket, all of which he promised to return and pick up, but never did. When the initial paint we chose did not work, instead of stopping with one wall and making a change, he painted an entire large room which then all needed to be repainted in a different shade.
The good news: The project was eventually completed to our satisfaction. Cesar is a skilled painter and did take extra effort to help us choose a color that worked well in the room. I can not recommend this company. In fact, I would suggest you look elsewhere. We have had large painting projects previously that were on budget and we were pleased with. Not this project and not this company.
Was going to hire Certa Pro of…
Was going to hire Certa Pro of Northwest Indiana until I got, hit with additional fees after, I had already given them a deposit of more than a thousand dollars. Needless to say, I canceled the contract. Here it is more than a month and I have not received my deposit, After repeated phone calls all you get is its iin the mail. We live in the same town, mail should net take more than a week. Further, they will not reissue a check even after I said I would come by and pick up a new check which they refused to issue, as then they would have to pay a cancelation fee.

My first interaction with CertaPro was when Jim, the owner came to my home and walked me through every detail of the process to paint the exterior of my home. He then emailed me a very detailed free estimate that I was extremely impressed with. I gathered hundreds of paint samples from every paint store that I could find but I still couldn’t find the exact color that I wanted. I called Jim a couple days before they were to start the job and he offered to find the color that I wanted. He chose the exact shade, much to my surprise. I am thrilled with the final results.
Henry Umana, the project manager, did a fantastic job prepping the house, caulking everywhere that needed it, fixing cracks in the stucco and painting the exterior of my home. I would give him a 10++++ review for his work ethic, professionalism and dedication to providing a quality outcome. Henry is a super nice person and I highly recommend him and CertaPro to complete any painting job that you have.

Horrible Experience workers don't show…
Horrible Experience workers don't show up, and the owner doesn't call me back or check in to see if his workers show up—six days of no-show and never a reason why. Removing popcorn off the ceiling should have taken two weeks, but it's six weeks later, and the project is only one-third done. The project included cleaning up, but you lived in chaos for two weeks, and you cleaned it up. The Owner Johnathan in Boerne, Tx, promises you everything, but his workers can't do a Monterrey Texture on the wall and are afraid to remove the wallpaper. He doesn't have another crew to send; he keeps trying to send the same team that doesn't show up. A dream project that turned out to be a nightmare and a big disappointment. ( Two weeks of no-shows, I agreed I would try again Monday they didn't show up, and the owner didn't follow up )
Long on promises, short on performance
The owner of the franchise came to our home and assured us that our entire house would be painted. He promised perfect repair of any drywall defects in our 25 year old home. The crew that actually painted was another company that CertaPro hired to paint our house. They were pretty good painters, but the prep work and drywall repair was far short of the promised result. The hired painters asked us to find any problems and did a poor job of fixing them. They left messes in our laundry room, living room rug, and garage floor. They told us we would have an evening to prepare each section they were planning to paint the next day, but twice they just plowed in and painted without our prep, and got paint splatter on our stuff. To their credit, they repainted an area when we didn't like the color we chose. CertaPro brings very little to the table, in my opinion. Next time I will hire a reputable painting contractor and skip the CertaPro middle man.
Exterior House Painting in Bartram Trail
I had the exterior of my house in Bartram Trail painted by Josue Lobo and his crew earlier this month. We are completely satisfied with the job they did. Very professional and cleaned up everyday before left. Many thanks Joshua.
Extremely disappointed in management
Initially looked at 3 different house painters but was most impressed with the CertaPro salesperson. Every question I had for her was answered with “yes, absolutely” and “that’s no problem at all”. I say sales person because after the contract was signed I never saw or heard from her ever again. My start date was Sep-8-2021. My house is 3 different colors and I had the three different colors specifically spelled out in the contract. During the first week of painting I was notified that they had some extra effort locating one of the paints, it was ordered but wouldn’t be arriving for 5-10 days. Why they waited until the weekend before the job started to try to procure the paints I don’t know. There would potentially be a pause in my job by 1-2 weeks. There was a pause for one week until the paint arrived. Fine, the inconvenience wasn’t too bad. Here’s the kicker, when finished they sent me an “invoice” for 3K more than my signed contracted amount. When I explained the numbers were different than the signed contract amount they explained that I was being charged for the extra effort and inconvenience that they had to go through to find the delayed paint?!? No joking, I was the one who was inconvenienced by their incompetence and laziness of waiting until the last minute to get the supplies. They were charging me over 35K to paint my house, and on top of that they were trying to charge me more for their inconvenience!? Unreal?! I feel sorry for these people, but even sorrier for anyone who uses them in the future.

Used Certa Pro Austin Tx to paint the exterior of our house. We used them approximately 15 years ago for the same job. We wanted to use them again because of the high level of professionalism and high quality of work done.
My how things have changed! My wife and I had to stay on them to make sure the house was painted properly. Caught them painting over the rusted metal beams above the window frames without having first applied rust inhibitors. Had to remind them to do it. Had to ask them to please clean up their trash in our driveway and yard every day. Empty caulking tubes, empty food containers, drink cans etc…
Saw one of the painters videotaping his buddy on a ladder while standing on our herbs in the garden.
Noticed the painting crew boss didn’t show up to work until 2 in the afternoon one day. He said that it took him that long to get paint mixed at the store. He later revealed that he had gone to another job site to work. This was while his crew intermittently worked between phone calls or taking a break.
They were very messy with the brush and and gun clean up. They left dried paint in our driveway and garden. Spent the day after they left clean paint spots off of our outside tile, driveway and front porch.
Also, they left old caulking and scraped paint all over the roof above our back patio.
I will say though that the paint job that they left us with ended up looking pretty good. Just way too many issues in getting it done for the money we paid. Generally bad experience. Will use someone else next time.

I wanted to take some time to tell you all about my experience with CertaPro…not solely for voicing my displeasure of my most recent experience, but for reminding you of what service you actually are capable of providing.
When my family and I bought our first home in 2018, we knew that we would want to do some interior work to update it from its original 70s look. This included a nearly complete painting of the interior as well as removing some pretty dated border around several rooms. In trying to find someone to do this work, we contacted Certa Pro. The response was quick and Brent Ericson was our assigned person to come evaluate our needs. He was pleasant, attentive, knowledgeable, and encouraging as we began this project…something that I have no knowledge about and was concerned of how this would all go. He offered support throughout this process and was remained in contact throughout this process, which did encounter some setbacks.
Our timeline had to be extended due to seemingly unexpected underestimation of the amount of work that needed to be done, though Brent stayed on top of his crew to ensure this was done correctly. Unfortunately, the work was not up to par, with several issues noted including missing painting and a lack of attentiveness to the details. Brent quickly brought in someone to assess this situation and a new crew was brought in to complete this work…even reducing the initial quoted cost to compensate us for the headaches of this process. While I was not necessarily pleased with the process as a whole, I was quite satisfied with the customer service portion of this process, which is why when I had another project needing to be completed, I reached back out to Certa Pro.
Again, Brent was responsive to my request and came out to assess this in early July. He reviewed the work that needed to be done, as we caught up about how things had been since we last saw each other. We talked about our families and his kids going to college/work. He assessed our project and, while he did note that his crews were busy with projects, this would be something that he could help with. We were in the midst of having a roof replacement done (which also involved a company agreeing to do the work and then backing out) so he encouraged us to let him know when we were a couple months out from needing our work done so he could make sure we were on the schedule.
As we got the roof portion of our project going, I reach out to Brent again via email on August 10th, and again on August 19th, and again on August 25, all with no response. I was finally able to reach someone by phone at the office…which is not easy to do, by the way! This involved me putting in a request for another estimate just so I could get someone on the phone. I was able to speak with Steve Carey, the owner. I expressed my concern for Brent initially as it was not like him to not respond to any of my contact attempts. I assumed he was ill, though, Steve reassured me that he was “healthy as a bull.” So this just meant that I was being ignored. Steve assured me that he would reach out to Brent and that I would have my estimate by the end of the week.
Well, this was on a Wednesday…I waited until Friday…nothing. Nothing over the weekend. Tried calling the office…emails…again, no response. It wasn’t until Thursday that I received an email stating that “we are going to have to decline providing a proposal for your project.” So, from early July until early September, I have wasted my time in getting this completed. Keep in mind, this delay is affecting other components of my overall needs.
I can certainly understand being busy or not having enough people to do the work that many are requesting. Working in healthcare, this has become the norm. What I cannot understand, is the complete lack of response to a customer, who had stayed loyal to your company, despite previous bumps in the road. To me, I am your ideal customer. I expected better from your company and I am very disheartened by how this latest endeavor has gone and also angry that you have cost my not only time, but also money, as this delay will have financial ramifications for me. Again, I would have understood initially being told you couldn’t complete this work, but I am saddened that I was just completely dismissed for so many weeks. As a franchise that prided itself on customer service, you, Steve and Brent, have failed. I had previously spoken of my positive experience with your company in our neighborhood of over 200 homes, but those positive reviews will for sure change. I find it ironic that your contact email is “customersforlife" because, based on this most recent experience, our business relationship is dead.

Warning!!! Stay away from this company hired them to paint my house and honestly felt like I could of painted better they. Their painters aren’t good almost seems like it was their first time painted even used the wrong paint for my ceiling bathroom so how my ceiling paint peels. Stay away!!!

We were very pleased with the great job CetaPro Painters did for us. Very professional service from Ashlyn in giving us a quote for the job. Quality work from Rodney who did a great job painting our exterior windows and doors in two days. Overall a great experience and we would highly recommend them.

It's hard to give them a rating when you can't get them to do the work. My contract was signed September 1, 2020. I'm still waiting. Worse yet is I only heard from someone within the last couple weeks.
I am disappointed in the customer…
I am disappointed in the customer service I received after requesting a quote. I asked for a quote on an entire house painting. After three days , still no quote. Contacted customer service who assured me I would get one that evening, still nothing. Then I send a message through “contact us” who responded immediately but I told them I was disappointed and considering moving on and they all but said “sorry you experienced this “ but it was more like ‘Go fly a kite’ without any resolution. If this is any indication of what their commitment to clients, I am not impressed and don’t want to use them. To be fair, we used them like 12 plus years ago to paint our current home which had a two story living room and they did a great job which is why we went back. I feel they have lost that personal touch and have gotten too big with the new owners.

I am very disappointed
I am very disappointed. They didn’t show up when they were originally scheduled it was delayed a day and then they were about two hours late the following day. The quality of the work was just poor. They did not cover areas my carpet was a mess. I found several spots of paint on my carpet, they broke the blinds, dry wall work was not professionally done at all ( child like). The paint wasn’t applied evenly, I can see a thin line of white paint at the top where the wall meets the ceiling in every room that I added color. I also found blobs of paint in spots and on my curtains in the master bedroom. I was so looking forward to finally having my house professionally painted, my husband did a better job. I had Lucas and his team, I am sooooo disappointed, I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.
