Found an advertisement for hand made rucksack company allegedly to close in Leeds. I was suspicious as the mill is supposedly on Marlow Street in Holbeck. There is no such street. If you look at the advert, the alleged owner is photographed across the street from the mill which is supposedly been developed. So his business is in an entirely different building. The advertisement is a scam.

I feel embarrassed about falling for this scam, as you will be aware of the advertisement for the birdbox stating it was hand carved by some old guy from one piece of wood the actual box is a resin mould and is half the size.
I will have to put this one down to experience I’m afraid as there is not a snowballs chance in Hell of getting a refund, yes it comes from China and not the UK.
The product is complete tat and I am £40 lighter PLEASE AVOID!! 👎

UPDATE have reported this website to Google and they say they have taken it down, still appears on YouTube though!

I paid £69:92 for two houses
They arrived yesterday and they are just cheap painted resin
The description bears no resemblance to what arrived
If you are reading this please do not purchase anything from this company , just absolute rubbish

DO NOT buy from this company! product Not as advertised. advertised hand carved wood, actually plastic mass produced. Currently trying to get money back!

This is a scam website. The products are not handmade by individual named craftspeople. Surf the site and the same articles are described in the same nonsense story by two individuals. No goods will arrive no receipt of payment will be acknowledged. The company has two directors who are based in Singapore and Malaysia. The company was formed in May 2025 and is under strike off orders. Do not buy ... this is affectivity cyber warfare by a foreign state sponsored entity.

The whole site is a scam. They're flogging cheap imports at inflated prices, pretending to be hand-crafted by artisans. Those artists are not real people. It's all fake.

This company is a scam. The rubbish about the poor old man with arthritic hands who can't carve anymore is a deliberate lie. The birdbox is made of plastic and is much smaller than described. If this company was in the UK I would be heading for the Small Claims Court. As it is, the birdbox is heading to a charity shop. I

Agree with all the other reviewers. This is a scam. Do not buy from this company. Returns can only be made to China.

TOTAL SCAM..Birdboxes are plastic,Consumer Rights Act 2015, if item is not as described, which they are not, The seller has to provide Pre-Paid Returns Label, and Full Refund without charging international postage.Have attempted this , having to email Hong Kong, they offer 50% refund,which. I dont want.They cannot force you to pay to return a misrepressented purchase.. As others have advised, Contact your Bank, request to open a Chargeback dispute, they will attempt to reverse the transaction by pulling funds back from retailer, even thought they can dispute... The product that I bought for about £40 was nothing like the product advertised. Definitely a scam with no way of getting my money back. Beware!

Nearly ordered from here but noticed it was in the US although it claims to be in Hebden Bridge in Yorkshire uk. ...scam.

I would give this company a 0 if I could. They advertised a 'hand made wooden birdbox' but when it arrived it was made from a plastic/resin type material. It was not fit for purpose as a birdbox at all as there was no depth to the box for birds to nest in and the hole was far too big for a small bird.
Steer clear from this company, they are a rip off.

Scam. Claim to provide bespoke or job lot hand made items by artisans and actually sell low grade mass produced tat from china. Worse than this please instruct your bank to refuse charges to this company if you have purchased anything or cancel your card as they also operate a "VIP subscription" ppan that will keep charging your card £24.99 per month which they will not cancel. They do not mention this anywhere, instead automatically signing any purchasers up to this fraudulent 'package'. Please, if you have been ubfortunate enough to send your payment details to this company, canel your payment card and/or notify your bank immediatly. This acam is (like so many others) being propagated via googles paid advert service, which sees it forced into victims google now feeds and search results - despite a simple google search being all that is required to have the site/company identified as a scam. Shame on you google for taking their money (and the money of so many other criminals) and actively participating in the scam by disseminating it to innocent victims.

Update - I have received a full refund from cedarandtinco's sister company, Backroad goods. I have not returned the items. Instead I notified my bank and requested a chargeback then informed the company of this. I advise everyone who has been scammed to do the same, then post thir success on here to let otbers know.

This is a scam website, claiming to sell handmade goods from named artisans when in fact it is flogging shoddy fakes shipped from China. The stories of the artisans are lies. The company behind it is also responsible for several other dropshipping websites such as Backroad-goods.com, which are also committing fraud. All 90 of Backroad-goods reviewers have left 1 star. This website sells the same items but changes the names and locations of the artisans - the photos and the text are identical. Ted the Hedgehog house maker from Shropshire does not have an identical twin called Reg in Devon also selling handmade hedgehog houses. I'm sorry if you've parted with any money. I have reported Cedar and Tin (cedarandtinco.com) and Backroad-goods to Report Fraud (who will issue a crime number) and Trading Standards in the UK, also Google who advertises them both and Shopify who handles the transactions, as well as Scamadviser. I have raised a dispute with my bank and requested a chargeback on my debit card payment. I would recommend everyone affected by either website do the same.
