I understand we are going through a pandemic i do. With that said we have been waiting on my grandmothers earn for a month and this was a prepaid plan. Also the funeral home split my bill in half to get commition off our bill twice. Then when you go to pay no balance on your bill and the online portal is worthless. You cant even see your bill there either. I will never use this company ever again

WARNING! Blake-Doyle Funeral Home in Collingswood NJ is no longer operated by Mr. Doyle, the lector at St. John’s Church, whom we all loved. Bought by nationally disrespected chain, Dignity Memorial, the subject of numerous nationally televised stories including CBS News for price-gouging, failures to disclose, and deceptive practices. The funeral director, Tara Iannacone is a profiteering LIAR who will abuse and disgrace your loved one to pad your bill. Two ill-mannered people, a man and a woman, dressed in jeans and hoodies (not dark suits) removed my mother from our home in a bag, banging my tiny 85lb mom on the cement step and then transporting her in an unmarked hatchback car. After charging me more than double the normal rate for a transport and cremation, amoral lying Tara Iannacone over the next THREE WEEKS told me the crematorium was backed up (LIE), that she had contacted Holy Sepulcher Cemetery several times (LIE) and that the Holy Sepulcher urn my mother wanted was unavailable in all colors and backordered until November 2 (mom died October 8). (LIE) She took $495 from me for the Holy Sepulcher urn and told me that she had arranged with Holy Sepulcher to have the urn shipped from Holy Sepulcher to Blake-Doyle when it arrived. (LIE) Each time you call, the evil Dorothy or dishonest Tammy Rhue Ingram (who may have been the inappropriately-dressed and RUDE woman that picked up my mom) give you the run around. Tara just left, is out today, is unavailable – all manner of delay. I finally called Holy Sepulcher Cemetery myself. The only director, Joseph Pirello, confirmed unequivocally that he was NEVER contacted by lying Tara Iannacone or anyone else at Blake-Doyle, that he had plenty of urns, and that there is no delay at any crematoriums. After contacting the police, I called Blake-Doyle whom I had paid in full including the illusive urn over 3 weeks earlier to pick up my mom’s ashes. Arriving 30 minutes later the evil Dorothy won’t give her to me. After 3 threats to call the police she sends out no-conscience manager Robert Gauvin who similarly refuses to give me my mother’s ashes until I threaten him 3 more times. Cowardly, he sends evil Dorothy back with the ashes. It’s no surprise that this criminal operation, after irrevocably harming my family by unnecessarily leaving my mother without service or burial for over 3 weeks, will not refund the $495 fee for the urn we never received. Tara Iannacone is a calculating vulture who belongs in prison for fraud and felony theft by deception.

I literally get sick every time I step foot in that place. I first buried my father there, and all they could do while we were grieving for my father, was to try to sell us grave plots. I had to go back again for my mother during Covid. Not only the sales man wore no mask in their small grave site office in Jupiter, he also refused to provide us with a price sheet for the services they provide. He said he can MAIL it to me - not Email!! I hope I never have to go back to that place again.

I worked for this company for a few years. I can tell you they are truly awful. I was sexually assaulted by an older man for over a year. They would not fire him. HR told me it was my doing. Management is a joke. That company is hell on earth. I wouldn’t send my loved ones there knowing how they treat the living and I worked there.

My mother passed unexpectedly in 2017 from pancreatic cancer. She was very young but her entire life she looked out for others. She had tried to arrange her own funeral when she realized she was terminal. In our hometown there had been a reputable funeral home but this evil company bought it. Mom had made the mistake of arranging the collection of her body with them. Her ONLY wish was to be cremated within 24 hours of her death. That was the only thing she asked my brother and I to ensure. But this company made sure it didn't happen.

When she died they took her but were hours late meaning my poor mom's body was in rigor by the time they showed up. I deal with skeletons all the time, but when it's someone you love that's painful. They couldn't even be asked to meet with us the next day and despite the contract they were keeping her body. They demanded we pay for their funeral package despite our plan to have her memorial at a family church so that the rest of her family could pay their respects. They wanted us to pay tens of thousands of dollars well in excess of what mom had agreed to and they threatened to dump her body if we didn't pay. (And yes, that is illegal. Didn't stop them.)

My brother had right of attorney in regards to my mom's body so while I was involved, the point was that if I could not get there his signature was all that would be needed. He made it clear that they were in violation of the contract. Mom had asked for her cremains to be placed in a pine box and my brother wanted to make it himself so hours later as we were picking out wood and hinges and so forth these ghouls called me and said that they wanted me to sign paperwork without my brother's knowledge. I played dumb and handed the phone to my brother. Even if they had procured my signature the previous agreements would have nullified it and I was furious that these ghouls were trying to drive my family apart.

My brother of course refused to comply with their demands because they were breaking contracts and demanding tens of thousands of dollars. They were also refusing to release mom's body to us so we couldn't even go to a reputable funeral service. Again, that's also illegal. This company broke multiple laws, extorted money, and behaved absolutely ghoulishly.

They tried to bully us, they called me by an incorrect title intentionally to insult me, they tried to contact both me and my brother separately in order to turn us against one another, and they made continual threats regarding what they were going to do with mom's body. My brother finally found a way to pay them their exorbitant fee despite the fact that they did not provide the services they were contractually obligated to fulfil and we were given cremains that I hope to God were actually my mother.

These ghouls are evil. Pure evil. Do not use them. You'll be better off digging a hole yourself. Again, don't do that because that is also illegal, but do not do not DO NOT use this awful "service." Again, they mishandled my mom's remains, they tried to pit my brother and I against each other, they extorted thousands of dollars that we really couldn't spare, and they delayed the cremation. The ONE thing my mom asked for they screwed up intentionally.

Death is hard but unless you hate your relative and yourself and are okay with being involved in multiple illegal actions and want to see contracts torn up for fun and giggles do not use this company. I will continue to write these bad reviews for them because my beloved mom's memorial was completely wrecked due to these evil money grubbing ghouls.

Went Mothers Day weekend. Grass not cut, garbage everywhere that people in the area throw over the fence. Tree branches down broken fence someone crashed into . It was so upsetting. IThe cemetery looked like a junk yard. Before Dignity Oakland Memorial Lanes Cemetery was always well kept. Not any more.

Please do not use this company. They are rude and aggressive. Can you imagine being yelled at by an employee when you are dealing with a loved ones death? Nasty sarcastic staff.
I contacted the corporate office several times to report the incident and no one returned my call, When a company simply does not care about these things it becomes about the company not the person who made the mistake.

During our time of grievance, Shayla Below was a God send. Shayla made it very easy for us. Her and her team handled everything we need to take care of for my father's passing and final resting place. Everybody at that funeral home was very polite and very helpful. Shayla took the time out to really listen to us and made us feel very comfortable threw this very hard time in our lives. I would recommend this funeral home to anybody who need guidance and a place to take care of their loved ones.

Dignity Memorial purchased several well know funeral homes here in Tampa. Our friend passed away - prepaid funeral (cremation)!. We went to the funeral home here and were assured everything was in order. The will was copied and sent to their legal department for review. Then it went downhill - corporate legal department said NOTHING could be done since there is a niece - nobody knows her full name, just her first name! We were told to use several websites to locate the niece - she has a common first name! Without the niece permission for cremation nothing will be done. The niece isn't even mentioned in the will!!!!!
Bottom line -STAY AWAY FROM DIGNITY MEMORIAL AND ANY FUNERAL HOME THEY OWN!!!!

Disgusting, money hungry, over sell, upgrade ridiculous pricing. DO NOT GO HERE, THEY ARE ONLY CONCERNED ABOUT MONEY! A extremely difficult time for my family was turned into an awful experience. They were 4 times the price of other homes after we looked into their pricing but by then, what can you do. The manager justified the 30% increase for “cost of living”. What a terrible, money hungry business.

My dad passed unexpectedly and we used their services in San Bernardino Ca.
They sold us a bunch of worthless things that we didn't need, but they told us that they came in the package. ($17,300)
We agreed to have the flowers red and white.
The day of the service we notice That the flowers where the wrong color and half of the flowers wilted.
They also agreed to provide coffee and they only gave us one pot of coffee and it wasn't enough for even half of the guests... When I contacted the funeral home I left several messages for that director and or manager to call me but they never called me back.
Do not let those vultures take advantage of you. Use your church for services and buy the casket on line, I wish I had....

Classic bait and switch by these despicable salesmen and women. They should be ashamed of themselves, poor excuses for human beings. We have two memorial units currently in use and I get a call from David Barlow indicating I need to come in and sign some papers and therefore need to come in. Some story about how they are going digital and official documents need to be reviewed and signed, this was an absolute lie!!!! I come in during the holiday break while on my lunch break and they give me a sales pitch, there were no documents to sign... pathetic! I would stay clear from this place, total scam artists.

If I could give a no star that’s what it would be. My father passed away unexpectedly December 2nd 2019. He had made arrangements with these clowns to bury him he paid for years so according to our receipts he didn’t owe what they said anyway as many times as he had been up there they never recognized he would need an oversized casket until he died which also requires a different size vault which of course means more money which is all these vultures were worried about they were so unorganized did not bury my dad with dignity at all. To have to go through something so traumatic as losing a parent and then on top of that deal with such inexperienced characters was so excruciatingly painful to say the least. This business should be shut down because of how they handle the deceased and their lack of having a heart for the bereaved. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyway so hurt and disappointed with there services and Billie don’t bother to send me an apology or any explanation because I don’t want to hear you y’all should know better and know how to treat people when handling a funeral but y’all don’t and did I mention they didn’t even come to pick the family up we had to drive ourselves to the funeral home.

Run for the hills. I'm a Texas licensed funeral director and embalmer since 1997. My family entrusted me with the handling of my mother's funeral service. I chose a funeral home that I was very familiar with and proud of. However, the services were unthinkable. After my mother died(first call) it took over two hours for a staff member to pick up her remains. During the funeral arrangements, the funeral director violated two Texas Funeral Service laws. My mother was three hours late for her own scheduled funeral service. The staff members arrived at the funeral service making up several unbelievable excuses. I later met with the funeral home manager who was unprofessional and witty. She used deceitful tactics in order to get my signature on a contract that the intial funeral director failed to provide. I voiced my concerns with an upper manager. He expressed that he wanted to resolve the botched funeral service in an expeditiously manner. I met with the funeral home manager again thinking that the issue was being resolved. After thirty days have passed, no luck whatsoever. No one with the company will return my phone calls or emails to give me an update on an agreed refund.

We used the Corpus Christi Location for my fathers service , the staff was exceptional in helping me make decisions. I want to say that Susana made it a lot easier on me she was so helpful in the process.Cage Mills Funeral Home!

Burying my dad was the worst day of my life. The lady that “handled” my affairs, prepaid, was extremely unprofessional.

I am so sympathetic to cancer, but she could not focus on my needs. She could only talk about her cancer. I lost a best friend and my mom to cancer, I’m here burying my dad. She could not quit talking about her chemotherapy, my dad died. She kept talking about how tired she was. Unprofessional. I spent 6000.00 to bury my parents.
When I asked the employee why my dad’s date of death was not done, she told me again about her cancer.
I am not unsympathetic to cancer, lost a BFF and my mom.
Dignity did not do what they said. Three months later, my dad’s date of death is done.
I’m an analyst, but for the next four weeks, my dad’s date of death was not a priority. The sales lady tried to sell me a plot, and never made it her priority to get my dad’s date of death.
When this lady called me, she just talked about herself.
I bought my parent’s plot here, out of obligation. I will be cremated before I trust this place.

My parents pre paid and purchased a plot in Indiana. The local Dignity provider will not allow a private transport of a body per the legal department due to possible temperature changes but it is OK to on a airport cargo hold for over a day as the area has no direct flights. I am taking the policy elsewhere.

greedy sales people and directors. There is one tall old skinny blonde female director and a clean cut muscular mid thirties male director that work there. They act holier than thou and very rude and disrespectful in front of others during the services I swear they are Satans son and daughter straight out of HE LL. They only want to get the body in the ground and collect their commissions I overheard them say "we will throw the casket in the back of our 4x4 pickup bed to get it to the hole if we have to!"

I had the burial plan with the casket and decided I wanted to downsize to cremation. They have ignored me or said they would get back with me. Once they told me my guy quit, so I went back and forth with Arlene "something". It's been 7 months I've been making payments that are much higher than they would be had they lowered the pIan. I also have the transport packaged paid for and after a couple months they started charging me again. Once I finally did get to talk to Arlene she said she would call me back with an explanation. That was the last I heard from her. Nothing!!! They are inconsiderate thieves and should not be trusted. If you do go the free lunch seminar have the lunch and go, or better yet don't waste your time. AVOID THEM AT ALL COST!!!!!
