Most if my Mothers family is buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery Baltimore MD. Recently tried to transfer grave plots. Absolutely horrible service. The only time they were attentive is when they were collecting a check for my Moms prepaid mausoleum! We worked for over a month to get them to call us back & follow through on paperwork. I would not bury my worst enemy there. Very sad

I recently had a very unpleasant experience at Dignity Memorial after my husband passed. I would NEVER recommend them.

My parents are buried at Laurel Land Cemetery. I notice dead trees and plumbing problems in section C .

If I could give this cemetery 5 negative stars I would! They do not respect the dead, they remove the personal items love ones bring forward their love ones. They toss it away with zero respect for the families that are grieving. The office staff acts as if what they did is correct and tells you that rules are rules. When you first go buy they treat you with world class customer service and after they treat you like you have stolen the piece of land. My heart is heavy with their actions my heart is broken for my Grandmother who is now laying in the most disrespectful cemetery. Caballero Rivero shame on you. For anyone reading this review run from this place do your research and avoid such a hurtful act by this place

My daughter passed away 6/29/2022 the plot was given to us by a family member, which I'm truly grateful for. The problem came up when I purchased her headstone which was a flat maker.I noticed that the other markers I saw were bronze but I didn't think much of it.I bought her a black granite personalized markers with pictures on it. Only to find out that they only except bronze and I can't use the 1200.00 marker I bought. Had someone answered the phone one of the eleven times I called, I would have known. Today is her birthday, through out the day my family and I went and laid flowers. Apparently between September 15- October 15 they clean the Graves. They through away bundles of fresh flowers and a Happy Birthday balloon. When I called the lady didn't care saying this is seasonal cleaning not to put flowers down during this period. I'm extremely mad
You don't return my calls,trash my baby birthday gifts act like you don't care. If I could afford to move her I would. It's only been two months since she passed 😢

Dallas, TX. No one in my family was okay with any part of the service, burial.....
The LARGEST COMPLAINT I have is that, although the service was on 4/24/22 - they STILL have not even placed a marker for her... she should have a headstone by now... but there is not even a marker or temporary anything for us to visit... it is now 8/12/22.
We gave them a photo of how she would look and the color of nails she wanted. They put on one coat of nail polish that looked like ****, her hair was flat and behind her, and her makeup was not very pretty at all.
When we were told to upload photos for the slide show, my sister uploaded photos first then I did. I called and asked as well as emailed them to please shuffle the photos. They did not. During the service they only played half of the photos (my sister and my mom) and when I told the people in the back they assured me they would play the rest towards the end of the service... they did play, but started from the beginning again... so only my mom and sister were in photos... there were not any of me or her husband.
We requested specific versions of the songs to be played and they played a different version of 3/4 songs.
When they printed out the pictures for a book to give the family, again they only printed out a few pages and it was of the first few pictures...
We were not able to stay to see the coffin lowered.
They told us we needed to keep the flower arrangements there on my mother's grave (we took a couple home anyway)... and in other funerals we have been able to take all the flowers.
During the viewing there was 3 tiny bottles of water and when we asked for more, they looked annoyed and gave us 1 more tiny bottle.... each time we asked... 1 more tiny bottle.
I can't remember what package we got ... but it was one below the best one.

We bought 2 plots and all the arrangements and made sure we can transfer it to another city where Dignity is available and guess what, all of the paperwork they gave us means nothing, has no value at all. We moved and were told the cemetery and plots along with the funeral arrangements were sold to a privately owned entity and so it cannot be transferred to another city. Dignity Memorial are Crooks.

DO NOT!!!! REPEAT DO NOT!!! Use Diginity Memorial for any funeral services. My mother passed away this year in March still no name plate or vase. I live in Palm Bay Fl and this is where my mother is laid to rest. We had troubles from the get go. Her casket was wrong, her makeup was horrible, they used a picture for her Memorial card that we did not approve they never asked. Her body was placed uncorrect in the casket we could see underneath her. My mother looked nothing like herself at all. In fact it was so shockingly not her my brother and I made them verify it was her. To this day we still question if indeed that was her. The only person who seemed to care was Shiela she is a very beautiful soul she no longer works for them.
Nobody communicates unless I call to find out answers I get nothing. Almost 25,000.00 dollars and over 3 months I'm still without a plate and vase why??? Because they lack communication in every way possible. The whole funeral was a mess they couldn't get the music or pictures to play that we requested and made two thumb drives like they requested we do. No stitching on the inside of her casket we got lucky and got that money back. They should refund me the money they charged me for the service I never got. It's very sad that at people's most lowest time a death that all these people see are dollar signs....do yourselves a favor never use them EVER!!!!

I have never experienced such disrespect and lack of professionalism as I did from Debbie Miller at Sunset Cemetery in Parkersburg, WV. She never offered condolences, literally pushed papers at me trying to force me to take services I specifically said I did not want for my mother. She brazenly looked me in the eyes and "You know your mother didn't trust you." Sunset has repeatedly stated that Dignity Memorial will not refund us for services we did not use, and that Dignity Memorial is "working" on the refund for the casket. I have been calling Sunset Cemetery since Oct 2021 requesting the refund check. I get a different story every time. Dignity Memorial is withholding a refund check for the casket, I have a letter stating they will provide it. It's been over 6 months. Grieving people do not need this stress.....especially, from the funeral industry. Shame on them.

This is in regards to Thomas Yelverton Funeral Home in Wilson NC. This was the worst experience that my brother and sister and I ever had. Our fathers funeral was held here. My first cousin Todd Greene has written a review as it was his father’s funeral! Todd Greene is a employee of this funeral home! He drove the van and picked up my father’s body from his home. He also drove the hearse to the grave 2 hours away. Melanie the manager greeted us when we first arrived at the funeral home (my family and I were the first to arrive) she did take us back to view my father , but that was it. Everything else was done by Todd Greene. Myself, brother, sister, my Dad’s brother, and my Dad’s sister wasn’t even lined up to go into the the funeral service. My cousin’s sat on the front row while my father’s children and his brother and sister sat two rows behind them. The manager was not involved with us what so ever. My father did marry his brothers ex-wife so my first cousin is my stepbrother. This is more of a reason that the funeral home manager should have been in charge. From the review that Todd Greene left on Google reviews to him being allowed to handle everything at this funeral home which he also preached the service. Was a serious conflict of interest. We were asked by Todd Greene for all the family to step out the back door. When we all came out side all of my cousins and their family went back in the funeral home and they shut the doors. We were also told that there would not be a funeral procession to the grave. While outside I noticed that the cars were lined up behind the family car and the hearse. We left the funeral home. While going down the road on our way to the grave we were passed by the hearse carrying my Father driven by Todd Greene. We fell in line of at least an 8 car funeral procession with headlights on and emergency flashers. We traveled 2 hours in this funeral procession that we were informed that wasn’t going to be. The manager should have made sure that all of the family was attended to. Also the manager was in charge of creating the video for my father’s service. We were told that we could send pictures for this video. Only 5 or 6 pictures I sent were used in the video. The first thing I asked Melanie (the manager) was if she had received all my pictures, she said that she did. When I sent the pictures I also asked if she could email me the video so I could view it before the funeral. I wasn’t sent the video and all of the recent pictures of my Father and his Grandchildren, my brother, sister and I were not in the video. These pictures were made the last two weeks before my Father’s death. I can speak for my father’s immediate family and that none of us would recommend this funeral home!
Also Melanie (the manager) responded to Todd’s Greene’s Google review as if she doesn’t know that he is a employee of the funeral home and, knowing good and well that he isn’t his Father!

On April 6, 2022 we met with a Dignity Memorial Agent to discuss a pre-arranged cremation plan. He made no mention of life insurance & required that we sign in a black box which transmitted our signatures to his computer. The agent didn't ask any questions relating to a life insurance application and falsely answered NO to the question "Do we own life insurance". We have a significant amount of life insurance and we do not need funds to pay for our cremations. Our receipt of the policies was our 1st knowledge that he had submitted a life insurance application.
The insurance policies stated that we would get a full refund if we returned the policies with cancellation letters by mail within 30 days. They received our certified letters of cancellation on May 5, 2022 - within 29 days of the application. ASSURANT, American Memorial Life Insurance Company, has refused to refund our payment until we meet with Surprise Funeral Care & get their notarized signature to cancel the policy. We copied Surprise Funeral Care on our cancellation correspondence. The customer service representative does not have the legal right to change the POLICY's requirement for refund.
We consider this to be a fraudulent sale of life insurance and we do not recommend dealing with unethical sales practices.

Just went to Dignity in Rockledge Fl. It was so disgraceful. Here Mothers Day is Sunday and there is garbage old dead flowers ant beds. Grass is so dried out. Headstones that name plates are crooked. Vases laying in the grass. Another woman came in and complained as well.Was told we can't remove dead flowers or old silks as family members get upset. Yet there was a sign no longer than 30 days. The manager said they are working in phases to get things done
It was never like this

Most of the staff at dignity memorial in Pensacola Florida are drug addicts and alcoholics.Half are in regular clothes no uniform.You can ride through the cemetery and see them drinking alcohol while smoking marijuana all while on the clock.Its been several accidents of injury and they don't get reported because they can't pass a urine test especially maintenance.The supervisor/manager whatever His title is Kyle Tracy does not care as long as the work is getting done.Somebody needs to looking into this immediately

My mother was flown from MN where we had a small viewing she looked amazing, when we had the services at Shadow Mountain in phx,AZ they had not done any touch ups with her makeup her hair was flat, they did not raise the casket for viewing purposes, appears they did nothing except store her, and wheel her out the day of the service ,and the packing paper was not removed from her legs, they also got into the memory box(private items family placed In) and removed some items! Special instructions were given for her bracelet to be placed on her right arm it was not, her hands were moved from the original pose so that her bruise was showing, Rachel was amazing, but Jen should not be in this business! When the pallbearers were carrying my mother she was loud like a staff sargent,"left hand over right ect" everyone commented about how unprofessional she was. She also said at the grave when passing out flowers you have 3 minutes left, we paid 175 extra for the time, and also we had to have all the guest in attendance carry the flower arrangement to the grave site. Let me add we have used this mortuary for all our family, but have decided we will not use them anymore!

Giraud and her assistance , Luis Cabarra. My name is Pedro Perez the Son of the late , Norma Perez . I am writing this review regarding Caballero Rivero Funeral Home Services. I am glad to say that , I was extremely fortunate to have encounter with such professional and compassionate staff. I do want to take this time to especially inform the CEO of Caballero Rivero Funeral Homes of the incredible job that Lynn K. Giraud and Luis Cabrarra did. Lynn and Luis went to the extreme to fulfilled my reguest. I am extremely blessed to encounter Lynn and Luis during that difficult time in my life. This review is in recognition to all the above Staff mentioned for there out standing work and unforgetable compassion.

The service was decent, their Preacher did the service.
After I had brought my loved one home, I attempted to remove some ashes for a memorial necklace. Could not open the marble urn as had been described as being possible in meeting with Dignity Personnel.
I brought the urn back to Dignity, they told me at that point that the only way ashes could be removed would be to drill a hole in the bottom of the urn to get the ashes. I could only walk away at that point!

I made a surprise visit to Florida to pay my respects to my parents who are buried in Jupiter. We pay for flowers to be placed every 3 months... during 2020/2021, we received one photo that this was actually done.

I was appalled at the condition of the “Garden of Valor” not to mention that there were no flowers present and there should have been.

When I questioned where they were, I was advised that perhaps they were stolen but that the manager “really didn’t know” he’d have to get back to me...

He never did. Being from out of state, this distresses me...

Very poor customer service from Little Bethel cemetery office personal at Dallas,Texas site. Tried to get some information about our gravesite at that cemetery and pretty much received unfriendly and inadequate answers. Yes we believe they are only interested in selling plots to customers and making as much profit as they can. They show no empathy or sympathy. It feels like they are there only as a business to get as much money as they can from grieving people which is really very sad and disappointing. This is a dignity memorial Funeral home property. Customers please do your research and check out other funeral home options if possible.

A Dignity Memorial funeral home handled my Dad's passing in 2002 and my Moms earlier this year (2021). Most of the negative reviews on here do not make any sense. One complaint is even about probating the will, which is not a funeral home function, but a legal function through the courts! Other complaints are centered on specific funeral homes, and not DM as a corporation. It all depends on you choosing the right funeral home, no matter who manages it. Ours was fantastic, caring, professional. Plus DM is very versed on the ins and outs related to Veterans. I actually set up prepaid plans with a local DM provider for both my wife and me. No matter where we are in the US, we are covered by DM. If we move farther that 75 miles from our contracted funeral home, the plan can be moved. If we pass away while in another place, a local DM home can handle everything, and it's all covered as if we contracted with that home. Pick your funeral home wisely, period.
