Stattdessen nur eine Zusammenfassung von dem, was im Fahrzeugbrief und Fahrzeugschein steht, dazu noch etliche KFZ-Inserate vergleichbarer Autos. Aber nichts, zu Vorschäden, Kilometerstand, Service oder sonstige nützliche Informationen zu dem spezifischen Auto.
Ja, manchmal gibt es keine Einträge zu einem Fahrzeug, das aber mit sinnfreien Angaben zu überdecken ist nicht schön.

Disastrous Vehicle Report – Completely Inaccurate Data & Zero Support!
I purchased a Carlytics report for a BMW X2 xDrive 25e, and it was a complete waste of money. The report is riddled with severe technical errors. It completely missed that the car is a Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV), labeling it as a standard naturally aspirated petrol car. Because of this, it got the engine power wrong, missed the turbocharger, failed to include any battery specifications, and wrongly classified the car as an "M35i" sport model instead of the actual "xDrive25e". This also completely broke their market value estimation, which was inflated by over €10,000.To make things worse, I contacted Carlytics support to report these massive blunders and request a correction or refund, but I received absolutely no reply. They clearly do not care about data accuracy or customer service. Avoid this platform. Stick to reliable alternatives.

Ich habe die Abfrage für einen Motorradanhänger gemacht den ich gekauft habe. Ich habe ein KI Generiertes Dokument erhalten ohne Aussage. Weder Erstzulassungsdatum noch andere Relevante Daten wurden mir nach dem Bezahlen der 9€ ausgehändigt. Stattdessen Listen wo der Luft und Ölfilter etc. überfällig sind. Nicht zu empfehlen, rausgeschmissenes Geld.

Das sind Dekodierfehler und keine Auslegungssache.
Was hingegen funktioniert hat: Ihre Fahrgestellnummer wurde gegen die uns vorliegenden Diebstahlregister geprüft und ist dort nicht verzeichnet. Diese Prüfung läuft über die VIN selbst und nicht über das erkannte Modell, sie bleibt von den Dekodierfehlern also unberührt. Das ändert nichts an Ihrem Urteil, gehört aber der Vollständigkeit halber dazu.
Danke, dass Sie sich die Mühe gemacht haben. Ihre Rückmeldung ist konkret genug, um damit zu arbeiten, und genau solche Hinweise bringen uns weiter.

Report received doesn't contain advertised data
The car report I received doesn't contain data that is advertised on the website or data is inaccurate as follows:
• No mileage included.
• No vehicle history, like ownership, registration or km. Vehicle timeline section shows generic safety recalls.
• The car model was not correctly detected. It said TOYOTA YARIS VERSO, but it was a YARIS CROSS.
• Engine details and car data in general are inaccurate and differ from the actual vehicle ID booklet.
• No details included about the features installed on the car by the manufacturer.
• Market value estimate is way underestimated for a 2023 car of its class.
• From the 50 safety recalls records listed, only 3 were applicable for Yaris Cross out of which only 2 were specifically for this make and 0 applied to the country this car was sold in.
I contacted the company requested a refund, but so far I have received no response.
Based on my experience, I don't recommend this service because they use scare tactics to get you to buy the report (eg. safety recalls) and then they offer little useful information or even wrong info about the car.

Angel - you've been refunded in full today, and I've replied to the email you sent us on 5 July. You were right to chase, and right that we never answered. There's no excuse for that part.
On the report: our decoder identified your Yaris Cross as a Yaris Verso and couldn't establish the build year. That's our error, and it's the one that matters - get the vehicle wrong and the valuation and specification sitting on top of it are wrong with it.
Where I'd push back is the suggestion that nothing was actually checked. The recall, stolen-vehicle and registration lookups behind a report are real queries. But Romania doesn't publish odometer or ownership records the way some registries do - for a Romanian-registered car, that history largely doesn't exist to be shown. That's a limit of the market.
On recalls: we deliberately show campaigns that touch your model family rather than filtering to a single country, because cars cross borders constantly and a recall hidden by a country filter is a worse
outcome than one you can rule out in a few seconds. Nothing is gated behind that section and there's no upsell attached to it - we'd have no reason to inflate it.

The report about a car was wrong. Other vin report site showed a 100k km mileage scam, this site didn't show anything. What triggered my suspicions is that the report showed the wrong parameters of the car.

On the report: you're right about the mileage, and it's the part that matters most. We had no odometer records for that Škoda. That's a coverage gap on our side, not a judgement call — and catching exactly that is what a VIN check is for.
All the database checks were performed for this VIN.

Incorrect and unreliable VIN report – no response from support
I paid EUR 10.77 for a vehicle VIN report, but the information provided was clearly incorrect and internally contradictory.
The report identified a Toyota C-HR as a 2000 model, described the same vehicle as electric and also as having a 1.5-litre engine, while another section listed a 1,798 cc engine. It also included impossible statistics, such as a 9,080% vehicle inspection pass rate.
This cannot be considered a reliable vehicle history report. The information was misleading and completely unusable.
I contacted the company twice and requested a refund, but so far I have received no response.
Based on my experience, I do not recommend this service.

One thing worth saying, because it isn't obvious from the outside: the stolen-vehicle and inspection lookups are keyed to the VIN itself rather than to the model name, so those ran against your actual car and the answers were real, whatever our decoder called it.
We are constantly improving our product and the part of the decoder responsible for this class of error is being rebuilt, and specific reports like yours are what aim that work.
