Sorry I could not give minus stars. What an awful company! I am one of pensioners whose pension is "administered" by this joke of a company. I should have had a pension quote beginning of Nov 2025. It is now May 2026, no quote no pension and thre only communication received is apologies. NOBODY there gives a damn, I am learning to survive on fresh air! Absolute disgraceful company.

If I could give a minus score I would , left in January 2026 Capita still delaying even the simple task of getting a quote for pension hold no hope for any payment soon or the correct amount being paid as they have messed up other retired civil servants pensions a truly awful firm never held to account certainly not by any government who gave these inept fools the contract

What does one say about Capita and its handling of the civil service pension scheme, shambolic, useless, clueless, inept are some of the more polite words I could use. How is that a civil servant who has retired are waiting months and months for their lump sums and their monthly pension payments, this debacle is leaving many in hardship and all they get in response is excuses. Capita must be raking in the interest on all this cash they are hoarding and not giving it to who is meant to have it. You have to start the process 6 months before you plan to retire and they still cant get it done and sorted, a task any other pension company can arrange and put in place in half the time. CAPITA a complete joke run by clowns.

Absolutely appalling.....has seriously let me down and my employer. Communication non existent. CONSTANT DELAYING TACTICS. TOTALLY INCAPABLE. All this in the age of AI. Avoid like the plague

I should of retired 26/01/2026 but I have yet to receive my lump sum and pension. When you try to ring them you can be waiting for up to 4hrs only to be fobbed off. I have sent over a dozen emails none have been answered. Even my MP has contacted them and they have not received an answer. This is the most incompetent firm I have ever dealt with.

Beyond useless and liars to boot. Nil communication, took a poor situation and made it a whole lots worse. Why anyone would give them a contract is beyond me

Lack of communication . No response to portal queries. Very long wait for an answer to phone calls . This company is a disgrace and should not be allowed to operate . So many people affected by the incompetence of Capita .

I have been waiting since March 2025, as I was awarded Ill Health Retirement, then.

i have continually been fobbed off by Capita, since they took over the contract for Civil Service Pensions over 5 months ago.

Capita have not provided any paperwork or my long awaited money and they do not care!

My health is getting worse by the day and Capita just tell lies and keep getting away with this.

Hang your heads in shame for all the distress you are causing many thousands of people that have given many years of excellent service to their communities & country.

Capita took over administration of the Civil Service Pension Scheme on 01 December 2025. It is now May 2026 and they still do not have a functional Pensions Portal. When you can access it, all you can see is your name, your employer's name and the name of the beneficiary. There is no information about annual benefit statements, or when the pension calculators will be available for us to use - reliably - to choose our retirement options. Time is moving on - I would like to see my options!

Not even worth 1 star. Absolutely appalling company , constant lies re pensions, takes hours to get through buzz word is escalation but no explanation as to what it means cant get a straight answer. No replies to emails. Can't speak to a manager ever. Would not recommend this company in any shape or form.

An absolutely useless company who cannot process pensions. I have been waiting months and months and months for my pension . they never correspond with you and don’t even think of trying to phone them unless you have three hours to waste to receive no information from the person on the other end of the phone. how this company is still trading is beyond me.

This company cannot be trusted to run a pension scheme. They do not communicate with their customers. Their IT portal has yet to work. They fob off complaints. They use escalation to further delay. They have let down thousands of civil service pensioners, including myself, a widow with 50 years service.They do not care about the hardship that they have caused

Appalling service in administering the civil service pension scheme. Hours on hold to speak to an operator and when you do fobbed off with a generic reply. They were supposed to deal with an issue 8 weeks ago and no progress at all. Just bland promises of progress in the future but no pension quote and thousands of us not in receipt of the pension we have paid into for decades. An outrageous way to treat people after a lifetime of public service.

I partially retired at the end of January 2026 having been a Civil Servant for 38 years. I submitted all the relevant paperwork in September 2025. As yet, despite numerous phone calls and messages through the portal, I have received no communication at all. I have now gone three months with no pension. Capita have stated on numerous occasions that they are working through the backlog in retirement date order. This is a blatant lie, people who retired after me have received payments.

Appalling. Portal has no information, modeller doesn't exist and 5 1/2 months later not even step 1, getting a quote. Very lengthy waits to get through by phone, no actual reply to correspondence just we are working on it. No reply to mp. Details like names wrong and no way to correct. Just shocking.

Unfortunately there is no option for no stars. I, along with thousands of others, have had my life impacted by Capita’s gross incompetence. They had years to take over the Civil Service pension scheme and over the last 5 months have repeatedly misrepresented their alleged progress. I am at a loss as to how they can continue to make wild claims about their IT, for example. The website shows me nothing but headings and zero information. Scandalous.

Incompetent beyond belief. The result of putting profit over service and just rinsing lucrative public sector contracts. Seeing a live penion portal littered with broken functionality is shocking. Hearing the stories of widows left with no income is heart breaking. The company should be blacklisted permanently from future contracts

One star to many, Crapita absolute disgrace of a company how they still operate as a business is beyond me.
Never ever go anywhere near this shower.

Absolute shower of shite. Another civil servant who's pension has been handed over to Capita. Since December 2025 I have raised six cases, regarding the Pension Portal and a forecast. Heard nothing. Run by clowns. Disgusting people.
