can someone please contact me !!

I had no calls to let me know it was being delivered i called 20 time only to be met with an answering machine again i have had no response to my emails which I sent well in advance. the cake was booked for the day before the event to avoid disappointments and to be delivered to a specific address and i was to be called in advance none of this happened.
The person who the surprise cake was for was called by managers to say their cake was in an office as we had same surname and were booked into a caravan hiding 2 doors away !! thanks for spoiling a surprise party that had taken 3 mths to plan !

when it eventually arrived for the party we were disappointed to find the macaroons were all fondant not macaroons I am sorry what is the point in buying someone a macaroon Cake where they aren't real, the gold declarations were inedible as they were plastic. i at least expected chocolate balls. the drip effect looked more thrown on than dripped for £150 cake i expected more !!

I have never actually complained about anything before but this really upset me I thought as you were a next day delivery giving you from Wednesday to Friday would allow extra time for presentation and detail to be refined especially if you're doing these on mass.

once we eventually got to serve the cake was a butter cream mass the cake to butter cream ratio was excessive !
I'm not sure what you were levelling your cakes with but the gaps between them were like volcanic crevices. it was more butter cream than cake which again upset the 50 plus cake lovers at the party. most of the cake was returned.

so, thank you ( sarcastically) for spoiling a surprise party and I am completely let down by the standard your company apparently portrays themselves to be.

I will await a response from a manager to resolve this issue.

nb I have called emailed and even attempted to WhatsApp since the 22nd of August and had bo reply from your company.

The cake arrived a day late and was very damaged on arrival. Even if it wasn’t damaged, it wouldn’t have looked like the photo advertised. Customer service was then very poor and unresponsive and slow. Really disappointed.

They were very helpful and created a mock-up of the cake.
Useful that they deliver because I couldn't carry this cake on the tube!

I ordered a cake for my daughter’s 8th birthday party. It arrived completely toppled over inside the box, squished and a pile of slop! Despite that, the cake didn’t look like the one I had ordered, the pattern on the icing had melted and dripped down. The overall attempt was poor. The cake also did not taste nice. We ordered a chocolate cake but it was completely inedible.

I emailed to complain nd they said I had to return the cake within 24 hours but had not provided any return packaging, labelling or return payment. They do this on purpose so that you don’t fulfill the 24 hour return policy.

Really surprised that this company has not been reported to Trading Standards - the company appears to be completely unfazed by British consumer law.

There are a variety of cake options available, which look fantastic in the internet pictures. I ordered one - my folly was to not read the reviews beforehand.

The item arrived squashed and damaged a day before the party. I assumed, like any good company, they would refund for the loss (even if partially).

Their automated email came through saying ‘sorry’ but cakes can arrive damaged in transit. We were required to return the cake to a location in Southall, London (at our expense). Clearly we could not return the cake a day before the party. And even if we could - why should we incur the expense of returning a damaged cake?

Responses from us to their email were simply met with the same automated email sent out again and again.
Several telephone calls (diverted to foreign call centres) went unanswered and conveniently to voicemail.

To add insult to injury, we subsequently received the following e-mail:

‘As the cake has not been returned to us for further review, management will be providing a 20% refund on the order amount as a goodwill gesture and resolution from our end.’

Never heard from them again.

The most troubling thing was that one of the fondant decorations adorning the cake, when cut into, was made from polystyrene (no warning about this).

I tasted the cake (after the event) and it’s not a decent cake that you pay top money for - certainly not worth £80+. No moist soft inner or proper buttercream.
The fondant tasted like fondant but the insides (although edible) appeared processed and manufactured as if they had been run through a factory on repeat. It definitely didn’t seem like it was handmade by a person.

I’m amazed that these cakes are plastered all over the internet ready to entice the next unsuspecting customer.
I have absorbed the loss as there’s no way of getting the money back from this unscrupulous company but obviously I would never buy a cake from them again.
I will stick to local, small businesses where customer service, quality and health & safety is paramount.

I ordered a car themed cake for my son’s 3rd birthday and I’m so glad i did it from you guys. I got the cake on time and it looked exactly like the one I saw on the website thank you so much , they also had some ice inside the bag so the cake would stay fresh and I really appreciate that couse they do really care about the customers not just their money. Definitely will order again

Avoid. Ordered a cake for my sons birthday which arrived damaged. Cakerstreets policy is to only refund if you return within 24 hours at your expense. Aboltuely shocking service. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid

I recieved a cake that was not as advertised in the afternoon before a birthday party the next day. I contacted customer support to understand where the mistake had occurred and how it could be resolved. The response was surprising as no accountability was taken for it and an explanation that the particular finish advertised was not available on the cake, despite this being clearly advertised. I was offered to return the cake, provided this was done within 24 hours - I didn't have the time available with other plans to do this so have had to take this as a life lesson.
If you choose a particular cake design (mirror glaze with fresh fruit) then my experience shows that you could be provided with something different (iced cake with fondant fruits) without any prior communication. 😕

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Caker Street for my beautiful birthday cake which was not only gorgeous to look at but tasted delicious!! It was a great hit!

Really wish I’d looked at the reviews before ordering from here. I ordered some fortnite cupcakes for my son’s 10th birthday, and they arrived today and are completely different to the image on their website. The website photo looked incredibly professional but what arrived looked like a child had made them. The toppers were completely different, the icing looked like it had melted and just in general not worth the £60 pricetag.

I have returned the cupcakes today and look forward to getting my refund.

02.10.2026 - update; still waiting for the refund I was promised on 15 September. Since then all communication has been ignored. Please avoid this company

So far so good. Ordering was simple and hassle free. Just hoping it gets delivered on the date specified. I had faith that it will be! However, I just tried emailing them for confirmation and a message came back saying it wasn’t a genuine email address! I’m actually quite worried now!

Update: all seems well now, fingers crossed the cake gets here in time but I’m feeling more comfortable with the order now.

Update: My cake arrived this morning and it’s exactly what I asked for. I was nervous to start with, ordering on line always worries me, but it’s arrived on the day requested, the delivery was sleek and the finished product looks perfect. After a nerve wracking start, I can now happily recommend Caker Street and the service they provide.

Update: Our wedding was yesterday, 20.10.26, and we shared the cake out with our guests. It was delicious and several people came back for more. Highly recommended, honestly, you can’t go wrong!

I strongly recommend that prospective customers exercise extreme caution before ordering from Caker Street, particularly where cancellations and refunds are concerned. I wish I had read the reviews more carefully before placing my order.

I ordered a customised birthday cake for my son's 4th birthday from Caker Street that cost £159. I paid £159 by credit card after being told by Deepak that I needed to place the order immediately.

I reconsidered the purchase and cancelled the order the very next day, 20 August, approximately two weeks before it was due to be dispatched.

Importantly, my cancellation was made well within the timeframe stated in Caker Street’s own published cancellation policy. Caker Street subsequently confirmed to me in writing that my order had been cancelled by the bakery, with the reason recorded as “No Longer Required”.

I then had to contact Caker Street again specifically asking about my refund and their Support Team subsequently responded to me in writing confirming that the refund for my cancelled order had already been processed and advised me to allow the normal processing time for it to reach my account.

As at 9 September 2026, I have still not received the £159 refund.

After this experience, and after still not receiving the refund that Caker Street told me had already been processed, I decided to research the business further and what I found on Caker Street’s own website and the public Companies House register raised additional concerns for me as a consumer.

However, as a customer who was expressly told in writing that my £159 refund had already been processed, but who has still not received that money, I found the corporate history and the number of different legal entities associated with the Caker Street name concerning.

I wish I had researched the company structure, as well as the customer reviews, before placing my order.

Based entirely on my own experience, I would not use Caker Street again and I cannot recommend this company.

My advice to prospective customers is simple. Make sure and read the recent negative reviews carefully before ordering, particularly those concerning cancellations and refunds, pay by a method that provides consumer protection, and retain copies of all correspondence.

I ordered a cake for my son's 21st for 129 GBP, and they weren't able to deliver. I flagged throughout the process that they needed to call him and needed to be delivered. I'm totally gutted as no one celebrated his birthday in the office. Further no refund is granted as they send T&Cs post booking account no liability for non delivery. And they argue they can deliver the following day as their cakes are good for a week. The whole point was it was his 21st and a surprise. You can’t bring back time. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

1 stella — Very disappointing experience

I would give zero stars if I could. This was an extremely disappointing and upsetting experience.

I ordered this cake for my daughter’s 18th birthday and chose a specific design. Unfortunately, the cake that arrived was nothing like the design I had ordered. On top of that, it arrived badly damaged, with a large part of the cake and decoration completely broken.

The cake was also covered in an excessive amount of sugar and was practically impossible to eat. It was not only unattractive, but also completely unsuitable for such an important occasion.

What made the situation even worse was the way the problem was handled. I contacted them immediately, but instead of offering a replacement, a refund, or any reasonable solution, I was simply told to bring the cake back.

This was the evening of my daughter’s 18th birthday, with 40 guests waiting, and I was extremely busy hosting the event. I could not simply leave my guests and spend valuable time travelling back to return a cake that they had delivered in this condition. At the last minute, I also had no realistic opportunity to find another cake for 40 people.

I paid for a special cake for a very important milestone in my daughter’s life, and instead I was left with a cake that was completely different from what I ordered, damaged, and not enjoyable to eat. They did not provide a replacement and I was not given a refund.

This experience caused me a huge amount of stress and completely added to the disappointment of what should have been a very special celebration.

I would strongly recommend thinking twice before ordering from this company, especially for an important event. In my experience, the product and the customer service were both extremely disappointing.
