What a great place this.
What a great place this is with such high quality produce including my personal favourite, their Toulouse sausage. It is sausage perfection, tasty tasty perfection.
The staff are so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, and although it's about 5 miles out of my way I'm now a regular customer.
Very highly recommend.

Best butchers around!
Great quality meat and very knowledgeable staff. Always happy to discuss the background of the meat and cooking options. Sam also has a wealth of knowledge regarding pairings for the cuts. The dry aged steaks are unbelievable, full of flavour and perfectly tender. The pork they source is top notch also, the Boston butt made me the best pulled pork I've ever had and the iberico chops are another level!

What a gem of a find
I found this place by accident when driving past on my way home from a day out. Looked them up online and really glad I did.
I was thinking about making an online order but decided to wait until I had time to drive back over and take a look. Sam was really pleasant to deal with and answer any questions I had. He explained that they do generally have more of a range in the shop compared to online... One of those things being the grass fed beef dripping which was out of stock online. Not only can I cook my steak in it, I've already whipped up a tin of skin balm with some of it. The burgers and the denver steak were lovely and we will be trying the bavette tomorrow.
The price to quality ratio is fantastic. I've already recommended to others and can't wait to return!
Really pleased to have stumbled across this place as I only eat meat/fish/eggs and dairy.
Thanks again Sam for lovely service, it was a pleasure speaking to you.

The meat was 40% fat! Not good! Revised
The piece of meat I ordered was at least 40% fat. I was paying for meat - not fat. Someone had to choose the meat and wrap it so I don't know why I drew the short straw. Will I shop here again? Not on this evidence.

Well thank you for your response. You might think fat equals flavour however I would argue 40% fat would put most people off? And I am not talking about "marbling" I am referring to a cob of fat that constituted 30% of the said 40%. Once trimmed (i.e. tonight hence not making a phone call as you are closed) the steak itself was very nice. It's just there wasn't much of it after the removal of the fat. I chose your company as you are quite local and were a supplier of restaurants. Perhaps it was simple disappointment after anticipating better. I am quite willing to discuss the issue, just give me the nod.

I’m so sorry to hear your dissatisfaction. We pride ourselves on service, and would have been happy to go over your order. However instead of phoning us to discuss, you chose to leave a 1* review on here. We go by fat is flavour, which perhaps isn’t what everyone is wanting. If you prefer a leaner cut then please let us know. We are a small business and believe conversations are better, it’s a shame to have lost your custom.
Great experience
BFME are great - have made a few orders with them and the quality of meat is outstanding compared to any of my local butchers. I get it delivered to my doorstep as I’m a good distance from the shop, always comes well packaged. Easy to get in touch with to ask questions etc - would definitely (and already have) recommend !
