Had to give one star… would have given -5 if possible.
I rented a property at short notice and without viewing as the previous tenant was refusing to allow viewings.
On the day of my move I was struggling for time and had arranged a van for removal etc.
Upon seeing the property I felt sick at the poor fit and finish to everything. My biggest concern was the garden which was advertised as low maintenance and perfect for alfresco dining. It’s a bomb site but I was told the landlord was aware and I was given assurances that this would be rectified within 2 weeks… I’m now on my 7th week and still no sign of the gardener .
Avoid at all costs

Worst experience I’ve ever had with a letting agent.
We were told before moving in that the garden was going to be sorted out for the move in date (it was covered in overgrown weeds when we viewed) all that was done was the weeds strimmed down and the garden left a muddy mess (it still is). In December we were asked to get our boiler repaired ourselves and the money would be deducted from the rent, they claim they haven’t been able to get in contact with the landlord to get written consent for this (surely that should have been done before telling us to get our own contractor) it’s now been nearly 6 months and they apparently still haven’t had contact with him despite having to speak to him to get us a new oven fitted (that alone took over a month leaving us without an oven to use just after bringing home our newborn) Multiple times we have paid rent and had to chase them for it as they claim it couldn’t be found until proof was sent and all of a sudden within 10 minutes it gets found, they managed to lose the rent for that long that we had to pay another month before the previous rent had been found. We asked when we moved in about our designated parking space, we are still waiting to find out which space it is 7 months later, that leaves us with no hope over the complaint we made about parking back in January that still hasn’t been resolved. The keys they gave us when we moved in weren’t even for the house we were moving into. When we moved in there was no gas or electric as the previous tenant was in arrears and it had been cut off, the estate agents refused to help us in the matter and unless we could provide the previous tenants forwarding address we couldn’t get the gas and electric back on leaving us stuck just as we moved in. Once the gas and electric was finally sorted it then became apparent that we could only get hot water downstairs so having a shower was completely out the window. We’ve had to complain about nuisance neighbours and clearly nothing has been done as we found out when we went out one day and the nuisance neighbours sprayed the inside of the car with a hosepipe as we drove past completely soaking our 6 week old baby in freezing cold water (the windows were down as it was a hot day). I would avoid moving into my dream home if it was through this estate agents it has been the most stressful experience I have ever had to go through

One of the worst Experian ever in my 20+ years of buying houses this one was my home by far the worst ever to deal. Delays after delays failed promises after promise total lack of trust and integrity I would advise everyone to stay well clear. I almost lost my chain and would have lost so much money and our inwards dream purchase. On top of everything Burchells client the buyer of my home used in-house conveyancer Connells solicitors these guys so lazy and so bad unbelievable. Such a shame.

Awful estate agents.
I left a property after 2yrs in a clean and tidy state. Painted the walls, cleaned everything.
Landlord agreed, said to release the full deposit to me.
Thats where the fun started. Since then, a month ago almost, I have been led on a merry dance by Burchell Edwards trying to get back my money.
10 days is the legal requirement to get back your refund. Not 4 weeks. And still no money!!!

Final report was written up within a couple of days of the release of the property to them.

Someone else is in there now, so they have their deposit and mine!!!

I have complained to Birchell Edwards every day since, to no avail. I've complained and opened a Resolver case (Burchell Edwards have a number of these ongoing with the company as they have them already preloaded)
The tenancy ombudsmen are now looking into the case as this is disgusting and flagrant withholding of funds.

They have all the required information as I have seen it in my emails from the company and the landlord.

Excellent service. Roberta was really knowledgeable and was able to find a mortgage that suited our needs as first time buyers. Can’t thank you enough!

Emily & Tom have been fantastic to help me and my family move into a rented property, the checks were passed very very quickly, made life a lot easier thanks to there excellent service they both provide, would very highly recommend.

Avoid this agency at all cost, they are not arranging a viewings for genuine buyers at least at Burchell Edwards Sheldon office. They tell they don't know when the viewings will take place and will call back but never call back. They refuse viewings for buyers unless they can be coerced into using their in-house broker service. I don't understand why sellers still go to this rubbish agency they simply cut buyers off from properties they list. AVOID AT ALL COST!

Couldn't ask for a better service from the Burton-on-Trent branch! We literally wouldn't have found our dream home if it wasn't for Amber, she was incredibly knowledgeable, kind and focused! We also had financial advice from Caroline who confidently answered all of our many questions and did everything she could to get us the best deals! Finally, our case was handed to Vanessa who chased and reassured us every step of the way. We couldn't be more thankful for all of the great service!

They deserve a zero star , the worst company ever cheeky liars dont get involved with them , they arranged a view for me at 4.30 , I took a taxi was there by 4.25 they rang at 4.26 apologizing saying due to the vender and we need to rearrange the view , they did it 4 minutes before the time , unprofessional bad people , rude manners who hand up and dont take complaint they just do what they do and to hell with clients
dont wast your time on wasters like them
