I am very happy with my current buddi, which I understand is the latest model and seems to be working OK. This is my 5th buddi, all the others packed up after the second recharging of the battery. I would have liked a longer strap as I have a broad wrist. I think a man with a broad wrist might struggle.
I had prompt service when the previous models were returned and new ones sent out, but it did mean that I was without a buddi for several days each time.
My only concern is remembering to keep my phone with me as I move about my home as the signal does shut off if I am in another room.

I think that Buddi is a good idea but in my case it did not work well. Every time I went in to my garden to do a little light pruning the alarm went off.On two occasions when I had a fall the alarm failed go off. Your staff could not offer a solution and I had to return the Buddi.

It was for my mother in law who is 90 it gives us peace of mind that she is safe .Emergency calls are always answered by professional staff .

The concept is brilliant. However, it is impossible for my mother in law to get on and off on her own, for charging. The fastening is robust, for good reason, but she cannot get it on or off.

We did not get on with it if your mobile was off for any reason when you turned it back on buddi needed redoing never spoke to anyone even tho it was turned on and then just left alone nobody ever asked why or double checked on the elderly (92yr) woman that was meant to have it on over all it was a nice looking alternative to others out there however doesn’t work in fact my Apple Watch would be more useful complete waste of time and money wouldn’t recommend for anyone you love shop around the replacement for our family is fantastic and the same monthly payment with no upfront cost

My nan has fallen twice and the wristband did not trigger. To trigger the manual alarm it's extremely hard! She cannot press it and I'm not sure any elderly person could.
Customer service is about trying to find an angle to not provide a refund.
The second time she fell, their excuse was that the wristband was not charged and out of range. This is nonsense as she managed to reached for her phone whilst on the floor!

Buddi wristband stopped functioning. Support was really thorough, requested wristband returned and replacement sent straight out. Support then was brilliant setting up and testing new wristband. Superb!

I had the Buddi on the regular setting but it kept alerting people. Moved it on to the sensitive setting but even on that setting it would go off such as turning over in bed or raising my arm . I had to send it back for a refund.

Received my "buddi" wrist alarm yesterday. Very simple and clear instructions to set it up and running. As I was tucking myself up in bed last night it suddenly buzzed almost immediately I got a phone call asking if I was OK!
Very reassuring. Will be telling all my "Oldie" friends my story.

A bit of a mixed review. The Buddy wristband and clip work well and the call response is good. Wearing of the clip is a bit cumbersome as it’s too big to wear around the neck, so my 80yr old mum has it in her pocket.
The issue is the wristband. It’s so difficult to fasten. A few times mum has thought it was on and then it’s fallen off.
I don’t see why the strap isn’t either expandable or that there are different options. I find it difficult to fasten, so my mums arthritic fingers have no chance
I contacted Buddi directly, although purchased from telecare (after all it is a Buddi product) and was told basically it was nothing to do with Buddi. Not very good customer service at all. Not impressed at the failure to assist elderly people to wear this product without hurting themselves putting it on. Your making products for all age ranges to use, however you must think about those abilities to wear your products. Wry disappointed in your customer service and lack of thought.

The pros :
- device arrived promptly
- when it didn't link with phone on delivery, I called buddi and received prompt fix - instructions were to charge device
- tests so far have proven successful, I haven't had a fall, only pressed the alarm and those on notification list received notification
- device isn't all that obtrusive, it looks and feels like a fitbit device
- isn't too expensive to buy, monthly cost is reasonable
Ways to improve:
- supply the device charged up
- include simple 1 page instructions manual , what the light colours means, how to charge, connect to Google maps etc.
- improve app UI , it's not obvious how it works , e.g. to get settings you click on the "help" button !
- allow notifications to be sent to landlines
I've not tried it long to know how battery performs, if there are false positives alarms or it actually detects falls. Overall seems this product will be helpful

A cost effective way of ensuring the wellbeing and safety of a loved one.
I have several faints and sometimes hit my head on the way to the floor, so this now alerts my husband who can check that I am ok, also with the help of the GPS tracker.
I can also buzz him if I have taken unwell but not fallen.

Great design and lovely customer service. However. The wristband doesn’t work without being next to (in same room) as your mobile phone. This completely negates the point of the wristband. If my mother can carry the phone with her at all times what’s the point in the wristband? Really disappointed. If it had better connectivity that could cover her house and garden this product would be brilliant.

Wristband and clip usually work well together and can do the job they are designed for.
The biggest problem is the lack of ease and convenience when trying to connect the devices to their respective chargers.
Especially the wristband.
In my opinion the charging method needs to be changed to make it easier for someone with limited dexterity and poor eyesight to connect the devices to their chargers.
Either a usb connector or induction charger.
Too often we get an sms about critical charge levels about the wristband even though we thought the wristband block had been properly located in the charge holder.
Someone who has had a stroke and not really aware of such details as checking for flashing green lights will not realise the unit is not charging. Please adapt to more user friendly method.

Really disappointed with the product.
I purchased the product for my 86 year old mum but it gave us nothing but hassle.
It arrived relatively quickly from buddi but didn’t work once we received it. When we rang buddi they told us that it’s the charger and sent out a replacement.
We then managed to get it working, although we found it difficult to work as we had to continually reset it once it went out of range.
Last weekend it just stopped working altogether. Again, we rang customer service that said it’s possibly the main unit and asked us to send it back so that their technical team could have a look at it. I asked whether they’d send out a replacement during this time and they said they wouldn’t.
Now, putting this into context, we’ve only had this for 3 weeks, within this time the charger is faulty and now the main unit is faulty too. If I sent it back I wasn’t sure how long it would take them to ‘look’ at it and get it sorted so I cancelled the contract with them.
I’m yet to receive a refund ( although it’s only been a couple of days).
Overall a very poor experience.
Refund now received and apology accepted too.

Brilliant. Call centre personnel very helpful and friendly. This gadget very reassuring for me when out walking alone knowing I have quick and easy access to help, and also reassuring for my family.
