Recent training on writing a press release was incredibly helpful as a parish council officer without a media background. Daniel walked us through the basics of how to get started and make contact with local journalists, as well as talking through a real life example of an upcoming event that we want to showcase as council. Even if you are good at communicating and writing, press releases have a particular format and I highly recommend Breakthrough Training to help get it right first time.
