30 minutes late for a pick up. It’s not the drivers, it’s the booking allocation system. Avoid.
Stolen my money!!!
After failing to show up and still taking my money they still refuse to pay it back. It may only be £28 but that's not the point, you can't just take money and fail to provide a service.
Do not trust this disgusting company!

Let me break down the chain of events:
We landed, A notification said a driver was on their way. We waited 45 mins. no sign of your driver. We called many times and then finally when we got through they said sorry but they didn't have a car to pick us up as we had a group of 5. Even though we already paid for it.
You then said they were sending 2 cars
car number 1 turns up. Its a 7 seater but the driver refused to take all of us so I had to wait for the second car. The driver then charges my wife as he said it was classed as a new booking.
meanwhile while i waited at the airport for another half hour my phone goes off with a link to a driver called umar who was just driving round and round the north terminal roundabout. I coundl't contact him because the link goes to a dead line
so yet again I call their number and the terrible automated service just cuts me off.
to top it off EVO still took my money.
awful company do not rely on them.

Got charged £6.72 waiting fee on top of usual fare on Gatwick Airport South Terminal pickup, he must of waited a maximum of 4 minutes after he called me to say he had arrived.
I’ve lost count of the number of times an EVO taxi has been late on previous pickups and not deducted my waiting time from their fare.
Don’t expect my business anytime again soon.
No wonder Uber has become so popular.
Huge difficulty in getting our money back after overpayment
Having used Evo taxis for many years, we had no concerns about booking a cab to take my husband's American cousins to Gatwick, My husband paid in advance, because he felt guilty that he was unable to take his cousins to Gatwick, but unfortunately forgot to tell his cousins who also paid and tipped the driver, even though he was over 10 minutes late for pick up. Despite several phone calls, emails sending copies of both payments and a letter, we were unable to get any responses or satisfaction, until we contacted the licensing authority at Crawley District Council, who got on the case very promptly. Interestingly we had an instant response and apologetic email claiming that my husband's emails had gone into junk. We eventually got a refund on about 20th June. . This is very disappointing. I believe that without the intervention of the licensing authority we would not have got our money back. I shan't be using Evo again.

We travelled from out of area for a wedding, and pre-booked 2 taxis to get us to and from a wedding.
Firstly, the cab was 20 minutes late, which I wouldn't normally mind, (despite pre-booking days in advance) but a driver was not assigned to us until after our pick-up time had passed, which makes me wonder what is the point of pre-booking. He also had no idea where he was taking us!! This was added stress we did not need, as we then had to try to find the address, with limited phone signal, and he was abrupt, rude and didn't care that we had added the what.3.words reference for the exact location when we booked the taxi. What is the point of having a section to add the location reference, if the driver doesn't use it!!
Secondly, we were called at 00:39, 9 minutes after our schedules pick up time, and told that no taxi was available as no one was in the area!!! and it would be at least 30 minutes before another one could be sent. We were standing in a freezing cold field in the rain awaiting pick up from the wedding (as it was too loud to answer the call inside the marquee, and there was no ther shelter!). This was absolutely disgusting service, and upon pushing back to the operator on the phone, one turned up a few minutes later, but still 15 minutes later than organised!! Again, what is the point of pre-booking!!! This is a huge safety concern, especially if I was a lone female (luckily my husband was with me) and we live 3 hours away from here! So do not know the area.
Thirdly, and most importantly, 3 transactions have been charged to my card, following 2 journeys. I was quoted £12.50 each way, and only 1 transaction was for that amount. The pick up and drop of points were correct, so nothing extra should have been charged!
The customer service email on their website does not work, and just bounces back as undelivered. No one has contacted me from the company despite me sending a chat message and an email to the booking email!

I would give zero if I could.
On a recent trip, driver Paul (Reg. no. ending VCP) seriously let me down. He was very irritated that I was taking such a short journey of just under a mile. Paul repeatedly asked questions about why I needed such a short journey, why I didn’t just walk, do I know where the destination even is… I was polite and courteous but absolutely shocked by how rude he was. He had assumed that because I am young, I am not disabled. This driver in particular needs some serious lessons in manners and how to speak to people, because even young children know that not all disabilities are visible.
Despite how inconveniently short this journey was for Paul, he still managed to show up late and take a very long time to drive to my destination. I was late for work because of this.
Paul/his car also smelled of very bad B.O. and unwashed clothing so I was thankful it was such a short trip.
When I contacted Evo Cars about this, they did not care at all. As soon as I said I wanted to make a complaint, the line went dead. When I eventually managed to get through to someone willing to hear me out, they responded that it is not their responsibility how drivers act or smell. Won’t be using this service again, I highly recommend Station Taxis as an alternative.

If could give zero stars I would. Ordered for 6.45am for airport run. 4 adults and 2 children. They phoned at 6.45 to say they’ll be 7am. Reminded them 4 adults 2 children. At 7am had a call on way which again was even later than ordered. Driver said was only 4 seater so turned around. They said they’ll send 2 cars but cost would be double. Awful
Unreliable taxi service
I’ve been using EVO for many years and generally it’s been good.
But recently standards have dropped significantly I.e. Not turning up, 20 minutes late on numerous occasions.
The automated call centre doesn’t work either.
Be careful if you need a reliable taxi.
Victor our driver arrived Early
Victor our driver arrived early at Europa Hotel Gatwick before 5.15 am 26/02/25 to take us to North Terminal. Everyone has to pay to drop off and pickup now but the fixed price of £19.50 was reasonable. He was a very friendly pleasant young man. He deserved a 5 star review.
Totally unreliable
I have been using EVO for many years for business trips to and from airports. I tried to book a taxi yesterday and ‘met’ an AI virtual operator who got pretty much all of my requests wrong. I finally got through to a human operator who agreed with me that the ‘virtual’ operator was useless and would undoubtedly lose customers. I booked a taxi for 14:15 today to take me to Gatwick. At 13.50 I’d heard nothing so called and was told they could not find a driver for me. To cut a very long story short, I had to make approximately 20 calls, was given about 6 different stories and my taxi arrived at 14.36. The driver then took the most amazingly long route to the airport.
Never again. Simply never again. EVO have lost a very regular customer.
We were of to Atlanta for a week
We were of to Atlanta for a week, booked both trips from East grinstead to LHR, paid in full over £400 for 2 cabs, getting there one cab was late by 30 minutes. However, we booked cabs for 6.30a, pick up. all confirmed, text emails so no problem, how wrong we were. Landed at LHR went to pick area, no taxis, called and complained, got cut off, or operator put phone down, called again,, nothing was coming for 30 minutes, in the end one taxi turn up 1hour 35 minutes late, the other 2 hours late. After a long flight this was not what was needed. The on the way home it started to rain, when I got home the driver sat in his seat and didnt move, I had to get out open the boot get my own 3 bags out, shut the boot. Not good service at all, and as a company we have decided NOT to use EVO again, another losst customer for rubbish service.
Forgotten booking and rude driver
The first booking with this company from a hotel near Gatwick to Gatwick was fine, a little late but very apologetic and didn’t matter as we’d allowed plenty of time. The return booking on our return from holiday had been booked by the hotel. When we arrived at the airport exhausted, I rang as previously instructed but they said they had no booking. They arranged for a car to collect us and it came quickly. We made our way to the pick up point and I found a voicemail from the driver who had left! We literally took the lift from one level to another which took moments. He’d rung me but it was noisy and I didn’t hear. The driver was very rude, only caring that he’d have to pay twice for the pick up fee!! I told him how rude he was and how his company had messed up the booking. Suggest this company has a word with drivers about customer service!!
Booked a cab for 1150
Booked a cab for 1150. 1152 no sign so I rang to ask where’s it was. Unable to advise. Told me they weren’t sending a cab. Someone else spoke to me and sent a cab. Already 20 mins late. Cab picked me up as I walked to station. Disgusting service. Send out taxis past pick up time. Really awful awful experience. On top of that, they charged me £12:40 for a one minute ride. Avoid or only use when you don’t care what time they arrive and you don’t care when you arrive.
Watch out for the charges
They quoted me £26 including the pickup charge from Gatwick North to East Grinstead, firstly the taxi driver phoned me from South Terminal and said that I had booked the pickup from there, the office then phoned me and said the same! The driver then turned up at North Terminal and said that I would have to pay £38 for two pickup charges, I showed him the booking text and he then reduced it to £32 and would not budge from that price - we walked off. I then found out that they had already taken £12 pickup charge from my account four days before I had travelled, sounds a little iffy to me! (They did refund the £12 ) .
Advice - Use a taxi company that has set/printed charges on there website.
Shocking service
Shocking service. Taxi was late to collect my 16 year old son & friends from a party. They were left waiting outside for over 45 mins, despite being constantly told the taxi was 5 mins away. The taxi was booked 3 hours in advance of pick up time. Avoid. Terrible & unreliable.

Booked a cab for airport drop off and despatch told me 10-15 minutes. After two follow up calls when I was told 5 mins and 3 mins, the cab finally arrived 30 mins from the original call. The driver had just been given the job. I missed my flight and it’s cost me £250. They were extremely unhelpful and unwilling to deal with this. DO NOT USE THIS FIRM.
Awful service
Awful service. There were 9 of us (4 children, 1 baby) waiting for our Pre booked taxis at 2am from Gatwick and after a long time waiting in the cold, they sent us 3 taxis instead of the 2 that we originally arranged. This is not a pre-booking service, pre-booking means you shouldn't have to wait for them to arrive to pick you up. And we didn't appreciate having to pay for a 3rd taxi as we were supposed to have 1 car and a 7 seater. Also, one of the drivers was surprised to see we had luggage with us after we spent a week in turkey - very odd.
