Pure scammers
Pure scammers , tried to rip my my daughter barber shop , how do they get full details
Stay well clear of these scam mongers
Stay well clear of these scam mongers. It's hard to believe someone would stoop as low as to trick small business owners out of their hard earned money, but here they are.
They charge you $99 for the privilege of registering your business with ASIC, which costs 36. The info you have to fill in for them is actually more than the info you give to ASIC, which is also done online and immediate.
Imagine someone standing at a train ticket machine, and offering to buy that ticket for you, charging you $60 for the "service". This is what they're doing.
Their scam emails are info at bnrenewal.com.au and support at bnrenewal.com.au
It is a scam do not renew your business…
It is a scam do not renew your business with them
BEWARE!
BEWARE!! These guys sent me a letter saying I needed to pay $99 to renew my business name for a year, or $199 for 3 years. I thought that was a bit much so looked into it on ASIC...
ASIC said I WASN'T due for renewal and the charges were $36 for a year and $85 for 3. Dont be sucked in by this!
Scammers
Year after year this lot will send me a letter asking me to pay them to renew my business name - it costs 1/3 of their quoted price to spend 3 minutes doing it myself via ASIC... Nothing more than a way to make money charging people for an unnecessary service.
Alerted
Alerted. This is a seriously sophisticated scammer. After receiving letter from them regarding to business renewal notice quoting $199 for 3 years, I did pay them the amount via a hyperlink written in the letter, thinking they are working on behalf of ASIC. But genuine ASIC Connect website only charges $85 instead. Better stay away from this joker!
Received the same letter - scam
Received the same letter and won't be responding to them. Have reported it to the ASIC fraud email address.
Total scam
This is a total scam and they fraudulently contact you to say you need to renew your business name when it is already renewed with ASIC
They wont give a refund
A bunch of crooks beware
Do not use this company
Do not use this company. They are profiting off a service that is easy to secure much much cheaper through the direct ASIC website.
DISHONEST COMPANY
DISHONEST COMPANY! A SCAM!
Pretending to be ASIC and charging three times the price. I cannot believe the ACCC and ASIC are allowing this company to continue trading after all these years. Our government NEEDS to do something as they are parading around like they are ASIC.
Deceptive and scammy tactics
Deceptive and scammy tactics - they scrape your details then they creatively craft an letter sent to your physical mailing address with a lot of mentions of the term ASIC in the letter body.
Avoid at all costs. And renew your business name only via the official ASIC website.
Scam
Scam, do not engage with these vultures. Renewals and registrations should only ever be through ASIC. They will send a letter that looks like an important business renewal. Don't act upon it. Only pay attention to real ASIC correspondence.
Scammers
They,re a scam. Don't use them. For a business name renewal they charge $199 for three years. When you can go though ASIC and pay $85.
This is a scam
This is a scam, avoid. Contact ASIC if you need to renew your business name.
Absolute scam artists
Absolute scam artists. Within a week of registering my new ABN and business name, BN Renewal sent me a an unsolicited 'bill' quoting a price to secure a domain name for 10 times hirer than its actual value.
The letter they sent looks like an official document from ASIC and a government department and a less scrupulous business owner or employee would more than likely pay this invoice.
They should be held accountable for their shady, underhanded business practices.
Before these scammers reply to my review with your standard "we have conducted research into your complaint" rubbish, why don't they directly address the following question in your response: Do you send unsolicited invoices to a new businesses? That look like a letter from ASIC? Yes or No?
I'm expecting the following response: "We have conducted research....To answer your question we contact all new businesses and simply advise them that they can secure a custom domain for a fee. Our letters do state that the letter is "not a bill" and that the recipient is "not required to pay any money".
My response to your likely response is that your BNRenewal Scam letters contain a questionable logo, the recipient's name, trading name, a reference number and a biller code. All this information is carefully placed in a well formatted letter that leads to people falling for your scam. Furthermore, your disclaimer/warning at the bottom of the page is in small font, after all the important information. If you cannot resist harassing new business owners, why don't you at least mark at the top of the letter "marketing" and/or "not a bill". Better yet, why don't you invest in a better SEO marketing plan to attract new customers like the rest of your competitors.
