Shocking,kade final payment of my iva on march 1st 2026,and 8 m9nths on still no certificate of completion,phoned twice to be told its because of a creditor not taking a payment it has delayed it,Bennett jones has had 6 months to finalise all the creditors and has failed in its duty

At every step of getting the IVA paid and the subsequent notification to the Insolvency service Bennett Jones were inefficient. On several occasions they were lacking in veracity claiming to have done things which they hadn’t and an IVA which should have been removed from the register is still waiting for promised documentation from Bennett Jones.

This company is the best they go above and beyond to help never been so please to have there help

I was in a right pickle, I had credit cards and loans coming out my ears. End of the month would come -pay day, and all of it would go on bills and paying off credit cards and some towards the loans. I was just getting no where.

I didn’t know which way to turn, until I found Bennett jones. I can not thank this company enough! They explained everything to me thoroughly, and without their help I don’t know what I would have done. I’m just so grateful, I can finally sleep at night without worrying. Staff are lovely too, they didn’t judge me or my situation, they were all very kind.

Due to having debts , we were advised to look into an IVA , Bennett Jones was chosen .
They have been always upfront with us , very helpful and listened thoughtfully. Given guidance when needed and been always polite . Our debts are cleared which is a blessing and a weight lifted off us .

Only time when it’s a nuisance is when you have to download all your info .

Cannot fault the company or journey we have been on

Dealing with overwhelming debt and the stresses it can cause can be very overwhelming, I found Bennet Jones incredibly personal and a calm influence from start to the completion of my IVA.
They listened and understood my finances, and gave me the best advice based on my personal situation.
I am now free of debt. Have a healthy budget each month whilst saving for the future. Most importantly I’m happy and stress free. All helped by Bennet Jones.

What Can I say?! They changed my life. My Mrs was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer and our life change suddenly and badly till that time I had to take a lot credit cards to could feeding family (even I'm working full time). Alan Spencer and other people from Bennett Jones resue my life and my family. I always be gratefull for them for what they done for us. They deserve for Noble Prize for helping people.

The worst company to sort your life out with, I email and call for updates and to inform them and then I miss one email and I get a ‘breach’ notice and they are going to cancel my IVA then nothing from them again after I call and email to prevent this after they have a month to sort. Customer service is appalling. If I could give no stars I would

My mum died one year ago and told them about it and it took them 7 months to then say I had a “windfall” no compassion!!

I’ve rated five stars out of five because I’ve found Bennett and Jones an absolutely brilliant service from the beginning of my iva to the end .The six years I’ve been in it sounds a long time ,but the relief at the end and the realisation just how quick it’s gone and th relief that debt free and stress free is just amazing feeling . I encourage anyone who’s struggling with serious debt to contact Bennett and Jones and ask for help , it’s easy to do and worth every minute.Thankyou again BJ pure Quaility excellent service

I felt so relieved when I got in touch with Bennett jones , after years of stress from marital split and illness I am now debt free . The guys at Bennett Jones are all lovely and so helpful , all the stress is taken from you . A yearly review and stick to your budget is all they ask . After my completion I am now debt free and awaiting the certification. If your in doubt at all about using and Iva company, I would say don’t be use Bennett Jones . Thanks to all of you .

Finally contacted Bennet and Jones. I was never judged about how stupid I had been. My Iva started in 2018. It’s been a long journey but I’m finally debt free

We were out with Bennett jones when our finances become impossible to manage due to our own mistakes and unforeseen circumstances.At no point did we ever feel looked down on or disrespected in anyway.the embarrassment we felt was soon replaced by a sense of relief that our problems were being solved.during the iva we learnt to budget and to actually be more adult with money,not being able to just stick it on a credit card was the best thing for us.to begin with it does feel intrusive but with each review it became easier and we were financially better off.Now our iva is complete we feel much more able to handle the financial situations that we will encounter.
The only thing I feel is unfair with an iva is that if you own your home with a mortgage your iva can be extended or you are asked to remortgage but if you rent it’s just done in 5 years no extension that to me doesn’t feel fair .
Bennett jones were always helpful when we contacted them by either phone or email they have become busier due to being good at what they do so if you feel you’re in a hole you can’t get out of get in touch and talk to them they will offer you good advice and a likely way out of your situation

An IVA with Bennett Jones has been the best decision i made to get debt free. Yes it's over 5 years but it's easy, manageable and the best way to clear debts. Highly recommend!

Very friendly and professional advice very patient

My Iva was moved from a different company to Bennett Jones and as a whole I have found them unsympathetic and unresponsive. Final payment made to settle early three months ago, initially told I could pay the final payment but they wouldn’t even BEGIN completion processes until several months later and it would then possibly take a FURTHER 6 months. Spoke to them and they agreed to start completion processes a few weeks later. Have I heard anything since? No. My most recent email was sent 15 working days ago with no acknowledgement, you call only to be told to leave a message and they’ll get back to you. Do they get back to you? Also no.

After earlier run ins with this company I was quite looking forward to wiping my hands of the whole experience and getting on with my life debt free but it seems they wish to cause more problems for me even after receiving my money. If I could have never even used an IVA as a debt solution I wouldn’t have bothered but felt pressured to enter an IVA with just over 7k of debt, you heard that right! :)

I have now paid back more than originally owed (which I understand is standard practice as they will charge a fee and I happened to improve my circumstances which actually didn’t improve even slightly and I still struggled to get by) however think very carefully before entering any IVA as this company in particular will be rude and patronising which is very hurtful given the circumstances and the fact that the company is taking a huge amount of my hard earned money in fees that I didn’t owe in the first place.

Avoid like the plague x

They have taken a payment from me and have kept hold of it to gain interest on it rather than paying off my creditors. Communication is so poor. I have written to them time and time again with a complaint and had no response. I would not trust them with your money or to sort anything out efficiently. I paid my IVA off in OCTOBER and they are yet to pay my creditors affecting my mortgage application. Disgusting.

After having time to process what’s happened I honestly couldn’t recommend Bennett Jones enough. I’ve had my financial difficulties and found it difficult to speak to people but Bennett Jones were easy to talk to and listened to everything I had to say. They handled my requests promptly and made everything run so smoothly enabling me to have financial freedom at the end of it all. So thankyou Bennett Jones, I could recommend you enough.

Everyone has been very understanding and very helpful no problem with anything

Since the start of my IVA communication has been poor with Bennett Jones. I understand that they are busy and state it may take 10 working days for a response via email but I have had previous emails ignored when I was purchasing a new car and needed relevant documentation from them. When I've called them I've been provided misinformation and had to be put through to different representatives to resolve my queries when I've informed them of my dissatisfaction, it seems only then will they work to resolve things. I have had to chase things constantly!
This was the same when chasing up my income and expenditure reports.
I completed my final settlement for my IVA some months ago and am chasing up my certificate currently as this is holding up my house sale, I've explained the circumstances to them and have expressed my dissatisfaction as I can't do anything until I have my certificate, which they state can take up to six months. So basically, I have to put my life on hold, can't move house, can't work to rebuild my credit even after paying the final settlement months ago because it is taking them so long to complete simple admin tasks.
