I cannot praise the BDA highly enough, specifically my specialist advisor, Natalie Birchall. After facing an incredibly traumatic and difficult period at a previous practice, Natalie became my absolute rock.
Her dedication is unparalleled—she masterfully reworked my complex submissions to the PSG Executive Summary and Performer Panel Assessment, neutralizing the language and successfully securing my Performer Number. She even went above and beyond by personally attending formal meetings alongside me with NHS England and the Performance Panel Advisor, and successfully resolved a highly stressful contract dispute with a practice owner.
Natalie represents the true human face of the BDA, showing deep empathy and standing by me seamlessly through my ongoing probation period. She literally saved my confidence and protected my career. I joined BDA as I wanted peace of mind, support, and advice for my dental work. I have been a BDA member for my whole career and have always found the membership to be excellent value for money. I have used their HR support on several occasions which has been very quick access to good advice. I enjoy their training - both online and in person. The resources and library have also been useful in the past. Overall I would recommend any new graduate to join, and any practice owner to take advantage of the excellent support available all within one subscription.

I can't thank the BDA enough for their support throughout the mediation process. From making the first initial phonecall, the support from the staff behind the scenes and on the day, the speed at which they helped me get a mediation meeting in place and their aftercare has been exceptional. I had a dispute over an unauthorised creation of a new case charge while on maternity leave, even though coverage existed until 2027. Ezra was incredibly helpful, offering detailed guidance, tailored advice, and support across all options. Due to the complete ineptitude of BSO and Pensions dept (NI ) in sorting out my pension I was very lucky that Phil and Jo at BDA managed to sort things out. Considering that I had to take immediate medical retirement due to a life threatening disease you would have thought my pension would be expedited. Quite the contrary . Phil was able to sort it out thankfully . Top man!
