Consistently awful.

At every step of the process Vodafone automotive were terrible - almost like their service is designed to be as bad as possible.
It took me two 30 min waits on the phone line to get through, then they couldn't detect the tracker so I had to phone up again with the engine running.
They then send me a key fob - just one (I have two sets of keys?!) and with no way to attach to the keys. Then another email saying the device had failed its health check and I needed to ring them again.
Last car I had used MetaTrak and they were much better - and about half the price.

New Tracker problem

I had problems on the tracker in a new car. Whilst getting in touch with someone at Automotive Vodafone. Com by phone was a frustrating 30 mins on hold. Once through the service given by Chloe was outstanding. She followed my problem giving advice and contacting me to ensure everything was sorted. She is an asset to the Company. I was extremely impressed with her knowledge and professionalism.

It is so unreliable and unstable

It is so unreliable and unstable! My car wouldn't start due to this terrible service. If you want to be worried if the car can start every time, please subscribe to the service.

Will not recommend to anyone!!!!

Avoid avoid avoid!! Terrible tracker. The app is hours out of date which is not helpful when you are trying too keep your Porsche safe.
The latest update allows you to change colours of the app etc. but is showing my car status from 3 days ago and won’t refresh saying my vehicle data is not available try again later. !! Focus on getting the app accurate and fit for purpose - why the hell are you focusing on what colour the theme is????

Beggars belief - seriously!!!

Truly awful

Tried repeatedly to renew, where the only option is to call their call centre. Repeated attempts to do this - hanging on for at least 30 minutes each time - and never getting a reply....if I hear the phrase "all our operators are busy, continue to hold" one more time......should be ashmed of themselves

My experience with this company…

My experience with this company includes:

-Inaccessible tracker app
-'Auto' email replies which resolve nothing
-False alerts which I now ignore
-Location info which is often several hours behind
-When I do accidentally set off alarm - no response from Vodaphone

Would you trust your £50,000 vehicle with this company?

Update Tuesday 7th April:

New login details received by text (no recognition/acknowledgement/apology for delay in allowing access to tracking app. New details failed to allow access as per several previous attempts. Subscription renewal paid on 31st March. Request for copy of cancellation/refund policy ignored.

It is clear that my vehicle is NOT and probably has NEVER been protected by this service (£110 annually).

Inefficient

Inefficient. Called to renew. No online option. Took 30 minutes on the phone. Really painful. Only a 1-yr renewal option available. Expensive. And they don't even take Amex.

If you have a choice, choose someone else.

Very poor customer service. I have tried to contact customer services on 4 separate occasions and have been left holding for some considerable time. Each time i have been 6 or 7 in the queue and given up

RENEWED OVER THE PHONE A MONTH AGO, AND STILL GETTING E MAILS SAYING I AM NOT COVERED,I HAVE TRIED TO PHONE AND HAVE BEEN ON THE PHONE WAITING 25 MINS FOR A ANSWER, GAVE UP AND EMAILED CUSTOMER SERVICE,48 HRS LATER GOT A REPLY.
WHATS HAPPENED TO THIS COMPANY WHEN THEY WENT TO AUTOMATED CALLS IF YOUR TRACKER SAID CAR HAS A HAD A UN-AUTHORISED START UP ALERT YOU WOULD HAVE A REAL PERSON TO TALK TO.NOW ITS ALL GONE TO A AUTOMATED SYSTEM ITS ALL GONE WRONG, AND ITS OVER £300 TO PAY EVERY YEAR FOR A TERRIBLE SERVICE, ONE GIRL I SPOKE TO HAD NO IDEA HOW TRACKERS WORK AND I WAS TOLD I HAVE TO TAKE THE CAR OUT OF MY GARAGE AT LEAST EVERY WEEK SUMMER OR WINTER AND CALL THEM BEFORE I DRIVE IT OR THE TRACKER WOULD ALERT THEM ITS BEING STOLEN.VODAPHONE AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE IS GETTING WORSE, AND GOD FORBID IF MY FERRARI GOT STOLEN WOULD THE SYSTEM EVER WORK PROPERLY TO MAYBE RECOVER IT BEFORE A CHOP SHOP IN EASTERN EUROPE CUT IT UP FOR PARTS,BECAUSE THATS WERE ALL THE TOP OF THE RANGE STOLEN CARS GO TO BE SOLD ON EBAYOR FACEBOOK FOR PARTS, PAY ATTENSION INTERPOL IF YOU WANT TO REALLY STOP CARS BEING STOLEN

Shambolic UK Customer Service

Shambolic Customer Service - why can't Vodafone Automotive adequately resource their UK Customer Service facility? Its been like this for many years and a nightmare call if you want to either renew or take out a new policy?

This afternoon I called the 0333 122 2222 number to give them yet another connection and pay them a fee (why, because their system is pre-installed in the car and there's little alternative unless you want higher insurance costs).

After 25 minutes of listening to 'our operators are busy helping other customers' the clock ticks over to 5.15pm and their office lines close, so the call is automatically disconnected.

IF you get through (and I've called many times with the same delays) you will find the staff are helpful as are those working in the 24 hours unit, but whomever is responsible for running Vodafone Automotive UK, you have no idea what Customer Service means and in my view should get fired for incompetence.

Tardano nella consegna di un satellitare per auto appena acquistata.Ma mi scrivono 2 volte che se mi rubano l auto, poiché non c'è il satellitare , per colpa loro, mi verrebbe riconosciuto solo il 50% del valore

Had the tracker fitted 4 Months ago…

Had the tracker fitted 4 Months ago never worked properly. I’ve email and spoken to them, with them promising they would call back. No call back and not even answered my emails. Very poor as they are supposed to be a premium product. Just want my money back so I can get an alternative!

Not fit for purpose

This came with the car. It’s terrible. False alerts constantly. Vodafone sent new fobs and I sat for 15 minutes pairing them to the car. 3 weeks later false alerts again and they want £25 for new fobs. They can fob off!! Cancelling this useless contract. MetaTrack is wayyyyy better

Matthew Baker at Vodafone Automotive…

Matthew Baker at Vodafone Automotive was absolutely awesome.

In honesty, I’ve only ever had terrible experiences with Vodafone as a company, but Matthew was so brilliant that I totally forgave all previous misgivings (which is saying a lot) and subscribed again. Matthew should be rewarded for his kindness, understanding, professionalism and enthusiasm. He is an absolute credit to your company.

Vodaphone vehicle tracker…

When I changed from one car to another Vodaphone refused to credit any of my existing contract to the new car
I had 10 months to run on my contract so I lost best part of 1 year subscription and was asked for another year’s payment
The call call centre took 1/2 hour to answer and the operator was not interested
I would never recommend this company
