Great service as always!

Dropped car off for an MOT at midday and completed within 1.5 hrs rather than leaving it all day like most garages.

Have used Autocare a couple times and they have always been wonderful! As someone who knows nothing about cars, the guys explain everything and I never leave feeling ripped off. 10/10 would recommend

Have used autocare for years, since I passed my test. It’s an honest garage which will go above and beyond for its customers. I have had many MOTs done here and also servicing and every time I have been happy with the service I have received.

I have just had my car repaired after a warning light came on. I found the staff to be very engaging and honest. After comparing prices online at a local dealership I found their service and pricing to be honest and reasonable. Using the main dealer would have cost me a further £700. All in all an excellent service from the team. I would definitely be going back and recommend the garage 100%.

I don't understand the negative views for this garage. Myself and my husband have used this garage every year since 1994 (under the previous owners and these owners too) and wouldn't go anywhere else for our annual MOT and service. We've always received good advice, good workmanship and a good price. Just picked up the car today after it's service and MOT and am a very happy customer.

We have 3 cars in our family and would not go anywhere else. Carry out work that is requested and if there is anything that needs doing in addition they will call you and explain. It is up to you whether you wish to go ahead. Went in on the 27th May for a service all work completed no issues, many thanks.

Do not buy a car from this company or any service.

I bought an Audi A1 from a man posing as an old and harmless person. A wolf in sheep's clothing, no less. He advertised it on Autotrader for 6.600 pounds. A marvelous perfect gem that has no issues at all, he said. He kept telling me he was not a mechanic and that this was his wife's car. What a fool I was. What kind of thief invites you into his home so he can trick you?

Fast forward. The next day the DPF light switched on, and my journey started.

To make a long and painful story short! After four diagnostic checks at different garages, including the Audi dealership, which cost me 500 pounds. I found out the following:

- The old man, works as an MOT technician and owns Autocare Canterbury. A Family-run business. This was the same family that sold me the car. Surprise!
- They blanked the EGR valve because it was faulty and remapped the car's ECU so our OBD scanner doesn't find anything. It took me two months to find this out. It costs 900 pounds to fix.
- They concealed with dirt that the car was hit in the front and cheaply repaired. After I washed it, I saw the damage. The wing needs repainting. 100 pounds.
- I needed a new clutch after 2.000 miles only, 1.100 quid plus fitting.
- The distribution kit, timing belt, and water pump that he ''changed'' couldn't be traced back on the receipt he provided. Probably another lie which will cost another 800 pounds.
- He reverse-engineered the car's mileage like a pro. I got written proof. And God knows what might be wrong with this vehicle, and I didn't found out yet.

This car would never pass an MOT check due to the missing EGR valve, but this company made it possible with its incredible trickster skills and devotion.

They are dodgy people. I know they don't look like much but check them out on their website at AUTOCARE CANTERBURY. OUR TEAM. Don't be fooled like me. They are vicious criminals. And racist too. He was talking down on me and my friend, acting all superior. This should've been the first red flag, but we all learn from our mistakes. I hope.

I think this is a clear case of fraud. I will see what the police have to say about it. I got all the evidence to back it up. And his fake receipts. And the phone conversations where he tells me he is not a mechanic but owns a repair garage. And a witness, the guy who tested the car with the OBD scanner before I bought it. Wow, that's a lot to get him where he needs to be.

Stay away from this garbage garage and people!!!

I hope this saves a soul from going through what I did.

Do no use as a woman on your own! I got charged for 2 hours labour (£108 no parts needed, a hinge realignment ) for a job I later found out would have taken 15 minutes. To top it off, the problem still wasn’t fixed, I contacted the garage but was told I now needed a part to fix the problem plus another hours labour, for a further £100. What I can’t understand is why this wasn’t mentioned to me, while the car was being worked on? I sent an email to say I felt I had been taken advantage off, but absolutely no acknowledgment. I suspect a man using this garage wouldn’t have been treated in the same disrespectful way.

We were lied heavily by this company. We were told and I believed that since we have an electric car, it will cost £100. When husband picked up my car, he was charged £160. £20 for sundries (what even is that?) and £20 for a filter that we could have bought for £12... I would really not recommend.

The best car garage I have been to so far.

Family owned, they care about customers and are very honest. Reasonably priced parts, labour and service. Very good place, I can't recommend it enough.

No dishonesty here at this place. They are realistically straight forward about what needs to be done and they've an intent to actually get the best out of your vehicle. Not to just pluck mythical problems wrong with the car so that they can over charge for labour, like the previous garage I was with briefly. Cough (CARS). Autocare won't just charge you for baloney, they'll only replace something if it's absolutely necessary.

Not only that Autocare fixed my problems, they properly diagnosed my car with the things that are actually wrong. They also showed me evidence of the things that are wrong. They have been very kind to me and although my pocket is aching, they lessened the blow im 100 percent sure.

Went there at the beggining of the pandemic, somewhere in April, my car needed rear brake pads and discs and they told me the callipers needed changing too, so they wanted to charge me 650£ for it. I told them I was an essential worker - I was travelling a lot from house to house to set up my colleagues to work from home; mind you, they charged me 30£ just for the quote itself!! Went to a different garage and they replaced the brake pads and discs for 120£!! No callipers needed changing so you can understand my frustration! I would't recommend, they only seemed to make a quick buck! Proper procedures were followed, ie they used gloves and they used proper distancing and the man behind the desk seemed friendly and polite so not all bad, but I got the feeling they tried to scam me so I won't ever go back there :)

Excellent local business. Great for buying cars and going back to them for servicing.
