Had a great experience with Irwin’s Plumbing from start to finish. The team was friendly, professional, and easy to deal with throughout the whole process. They turned up on time, explained everything clearly, and the pricing was fair with no surprises. You can tell they actually care about doing quality work and looking after their customers. It’s hard to find trades you can trust these days, but I’d have no hesitation recommending them to family and friends. Will definitely be using them again in the future.

We booked Irwin’s Plumbing for a pre‑arranged weekday appointment to investigate a leak in our home. When the plumber arrived, we were told the situation was an “emergency” requiring extensive and urgent works. The representative said we needed to sign the contract and get started immediately due to the emergency. We were quoted over $7,000, yet have credit card charges totalling $8,822. The emergency crew that arrived was ONE junior plumber. We requested to pay by bank transfer but were told due to 'time of day' it needed to be credit card.

Unfortunately, the leak was not fixed, and additional damage was left to our kitchen cabinetry and tile seals. We have a significant hole in our kitchen cabinet, broken shelves, and damage to our kitchen tiles as a result of these works.

The next day, the leak continued and worsened. We contacted the company in writing to request a detailed breakdown of the charges and to raise concerns about the unresolved leak. We wanted to understand how we have paid what appears to be a junior plumber over $1k an hour to cause destruction in our kitchen, and not fix the leak. To date, no itemised breakdown has been provided. We subsequently requested a full refund due to the major failure of the service. To date, we have not received a refund.

Following our complaint, we experienced an unannounced visit at 6:50am, despite having requested written communication only. We have photo and video evidence of the ongoing leak, the damage left behind, and the early‑morning attendance.

For comparison, a licensed independent plumber attended, identified the cause, and repaired the issue in under an hour for $210. His invoice clearly outlines the work performed and details his concerns with the pricing and work completed by Irwin's.

This review reflects our personal experience, supported by documentation, and is shared to assist other consumers in making informed decisions. Had I wanted to demo my kitchen, I would have done it myself for free myself.

I requested Irwin's plumbing for a roughing work, so my tiler can complete his works. Tiler has removed old tiles from bathroom floor, wall and plaster board, ready for Irwin's plumber to do roughing. Plumber arrived on time and quoted me $4K. He completed the job in an hour.
I emailed Irwin's admin team to give a reasonable final invoice. Compliance manager called me next day and gave me 50% discount, so I ended up with $2K final invoice. Had to engage another plumber locally to complete the renovation and upon checking Irwin's plumbing work, he said he would charge $900-$1000. Though got "discount", my hard-earned money $1100 is gone. I would have bought a gift for my kids!!!!I have changed my review from 1 star to 2 star. I kindly ask Irwin's to give fair price to customers in the first Instance...

We booked a visit from this company, was told plumber would be there early am. They did call to say they’d be a bit late. Arrived late afternoon, spent 90 minutes doing basically nothing. We had a kitchen drain overflow blocked with tree roots. The plumber made a hole in the roots for water to drain. We asked for camera inspection . We were told we couldn’t have photos of the sewer line as he “didn’t want to break a 50k camera” after jetting one down pipe we paid $1600 for basically nothing and were quoted $14000 to dig out the very blocked pipe approx 1 metre square of brick. Would take about a day. Tried the hard sell on us to which we said no. Even called his boss to talk to us to try to get us to sign to do the unnecessary work. Then proceeded to press us to write a review there and then.

A second plumbing company came out today, removed 30cm plug of tree roots and did full camera inspection of the sewer pipe. They did not quote for a $14000 repair.
