Horrible loyalty program. Customer service is just non-existent. After 2 years of spending thousands of euros with them and being on 3 different product replenish subscriptions, I expressed my disappointment with the loyalty program, I discontinued my subscriptions, leaving comments that aim to explain my frustration and potentially find a solution... not a single line from them. I guess I was not important enough. But see, I like to feel special when I am spending premium. I liked the products, but they are quite expensive. I was able to replace them with equally good ones for a fraction of the cost (just did more research than I wanted to).

Kontakt-Button auf der Homepage geht nicht, mit zwei Browsern probiert, kurz vor 9 Uhr heute, dann im Impressum eine Email gesucht, Fehlanzeige, dann irgendwo versteckt, die Email gefunden. Antwort kam vom Chatbot, nach diversen Hin und Herschreiben hatte ich einen Menschen dran, vermute ich mal, gleicher Standardantwort. Habe für über 600 EUR bestellt und bezahlt und wollte einer Freundin EINE SIMPLE PROBE geben, Augustinus Bader hat das verweigert. Da kauft man für 635 EUR ein, gibt seine Proben weiter und nicht mal eine lausige Probe ihrer Rich Cream gibt man. So kann man auch Empfehlungsmarketing machen: NICHT. Kundenservice haben die nicht verstanden. Wer am Kundenservice spart, dürfte auch an anderen Ecken sparen. Und wenn wirklich mal was ist, was dann? Bekommt man dann auch Standardsätze und hat eine leck mich-Einstellung, weil man das Geld ja schon hat?
Non existent customer care
I’ve had a rosacea flare up from both the cream and the rich cream. I appreciate everyone’s skin is different so I contacted the customer care team asking for some advice/suggestions, I wasn’t attempting to get a refund. I’ve heard absolutely nothing. These are high end products with a price tag to match with a low end customer care team, in fact that’s unfair to some of the cheaper brands where I have received a good service. I have spent a lot of money at Augustinus Bader but will not be spending another penny on any of their products. My advice to anyone considering their products is to not get taken in by the hype and search elsewhere for your skincare!

If you want to purchase product from a company that is part of the AI enshitification, this is the company for you! I placed an order that never went past the label created stage. Upon trying to email someone from the company to figure out what was going on with my order, my emails were promptly replied to by ChatGPT. Who gave me all sorts of excuses as to why the UK warehouse is backed up or some shit, when I live in the US. ChatGPT also recommended emailing the same email I was already emailing for resolution. Clearly a luxury company with luxury customer service. I had to open a PayPal case to get my money back and am waiting for a resolution on that. Spend your money elsewhere if you don't want to waste it and your time.
Failed to cancel the subscription
We signed up for their subscription service to auto renew after 3 months buying their shampoo.
Nothing wrong with teh shampoo but somewhat over priced. After they despatched the 3rd shipment, we wrote to them cancelling the subscription but received no acknowledgment. 25 days later they notify us that the next shipment is being prepared. We responded immediately, telling them that we had cancelled the order. After the product was delivered, we wrote again telling them to refund the charge and provide a return label. We got a response advising that the subscription has now been cancelled but that they do not provide return labels. We have asked our credit card to cancel the charge and we are charging them to store their product. It seems that this is a scam.

I bought the starter kit of this including rich cream, and to my surprise the rich cream was finished after 4 days. I opened the dispenser as I thought perhaps it was blocked and discovered that it contains a plastic pouch less that half the size of the dispenser. For the price of their products I wouldn't have expected this. So, as most of their products are in dispensers it makes me wary to get cheated again .

I do not like the explensive looking packaging and it is certainly not sustainable + no options for refil. I recently had an ipl (laser) facil treatment and it has 100% better results that AB prioducts. I won 't buy their product anymore, for the price you can get much better treatments like radiesse
Bereits benutztes Produkt bekommen
Ich habe die neue Pflegeserie von DuaLipa bestellt. Leider kam das Serum kaputt ( unversiegelt und benutzt) an. Der Kundensupport hat schnell geantwortet, weist jedoch jede Schuld von sich. Der Kundensupport schrieb sofort, dass dies nicht sein kann, da man strenge Qualitätskontrollen habe. Jedoch will der Support auch Bilder aus jedem Winkel vom Produkt sowie mehrere Videos.

What a pathetic company, customer service is non existing, order purchased 7 days ago still hasn’t been despatched! Cost a fortune, adverts are misleading! No one is answering messages! Stay away!

They keep charging me and I can’t get them to stop.
No one will speak to me. There is no phone number.
You’re supposed to buy three cycles before you can cancel, and I have purchased far more than that.
Don’t sign up for auto replenish to get the discount. They just keep taking your money. The product isn’t better than anything else out there, and way too expensive.
Expensive for nothing
Expensive for nothing. I used retinol for years and my skin has degenerated since starting to use AB. Sagged my face more o continue to use the retinol serum with my other creams and it does look radiant but definitely not maintained its firmness. Sooo much more than my usual Mary Kay 0.5% retinol but I don’t see the results after 6 months of use. Going back to my usual routine Mary Kay retinol at night and Skinceuticals serum at night. Much more affective for me. Such a shame.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. There seems to be a problem with their tech at the moment - they are sending me duplicated replenishment orders that I have not requested or want. I cannot get hold of anyone at AB, have tried email, WhatsApp & the most useless chat bot ever. I am at the point of cancelling my membership as it’s not worth the extortionate price tag, the stress or the time trying to force them into resolving their IT issues.

I use the 5 star hair products all the time and I love them. Keeps my hair shinny and healthy and a beautiful faint smell. So I thought I would try the VB foundation drops. So very disappointed, I ended up using my usual foundation on top. Gutted.
Products cause allergic reactions over time
I have first bought few products and found them very good. After a while my skin became sensitised by the products and I have developed terrible allergic reaction. It was the same products I have used in the past so no idea if they changed the formula or the products really sensitised skin over time. You cannot even use the same range together so I not talking about using some other product reacting this AB. My mum and sister had the same issue and I have seen some other reporting on social media… I tried to reach out to them on three occasions and got completely ignored by their customer service. Clearly they know about the issue but the policy is not to engage and acknowledge the problem. My reaction was so bad that I needed prescriptions with steroid and took 5 days to clear and then couple of weeks to heal the skin. Worst of all the company ignored my messages and still made me finish the replenishment circle buying super expensive products that I cannot use. Terrible service and terrible products.
Shocking customer service
I have bought many products from AB and the pumps are always a problem. The customer service is non existent. They do not reply to emails nor a contact number. It's frustrating and not worthy of the price tag/luxury brand image

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They will not let you return or refund if the product is open, even if you have allergic reaction. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. They just sent a bunch of emails asking about my reaction without ever planning on doing anything about it.
Long time customer treated very poorly by customer service
I have been using this brand for years and am always excited when they add a new product. I recently ordered their new sunscreen and had a horrible reaction to it. I reached out to customer service and they will not allow me to return it as it’s been opened. How can you know if a product works for you unless you open and use it? I am truly unhappy with their lack of care for long time membership clients. I have spent a ton of money with this company and this is the first time I have ever asked for a return and they won’t even do it? I will not be shopping with them anymore. Fortunately there are many other excellent skincare lines to choose from.
Absolutely horrendous customer service
Absolutely horrendous customer service. The hair conditioner formula separates and becomes unusable as well as developing a terrible chemical smell. Despite supplying all the requested information on numerous occasion as well as pictures of the problem no positive action taken. The company admitted in their first email that there was a definitive formulation issue with the product but I have sent over 10 emails now and no action taken.
